I went there today with my teenage daughters and the male server with the dirty curly blonde hair was very rude! HE EVEN ADMITTED IT AND OF COURSE I AGREED! I ordered the clam shrimp linguine dish and two pizzas. He proceeded to say you really don't need two pizzas one is good enough. OK then!!!! I proceeded to ask him for warm bread to eat with the olive oil pesto sauce because the bread that I was served was hard like crouton. The male server said we don't serve warm bread and I don't even think we have a microwave. Yet they had a oven I'm sure! ? My dish with shrimp and clams tasted like chicken noodle soup. I told him that the oil that was used was rancid. Didn't even offer to redo or reorder something else. HE EVEN SQUEEZED MY BREAD with his filthy hands TO CHECK IF IT WAS HARD TOOO. OMG read more

This Italian restaurant is one of my very favorites. Even the most simplest dishes are out of this world! The management is great and I have NEVER had a bad experience with them. The food and the service are consistently great! If you don't mind a drive to Marin country for some amazing Italian cuisine, I would definitely suggest this place! read more

Like an old friend, D'Angelo's can always be counted on to sparkle, soothe and satisfy. I've been coming here for years and have gone through much of the menu. Cioppino, pasta, contorni, antipasti - tutto bene here. Tonight we stopped in without reservations, leaving the car out in Mill Valley town square under the sheltering branches of a coastal redwood, and per usual it was packed so we came to the bar. A couple of glasses of Sonoma cabernet later we shared an order of fried calamari and a house tortellini in tomato cream sauce. A small table opened up behind us and we moved there, to be joined by other friends gathered for the celebration of two lives to be soon joined as one. Shouting happily above the din of comfortable locals, we ate and quaffed, souls joining in the conviviality of a lifetime of memories. And that's what life's all about. read more

One of my favorite Italian restaurants outside of Italy. We had our rehearsal dinner there and they could not have been more accommodating. My pizza-critical friend from Italy said it was one of the few places in the US that has "real" pizza.The butternut squash ravioli is awesome as well, my wife's favorite dish in the world she like to say. The tiramisu should be required eating. It can get a little crowded, so a reservation or patience is needed for the weekends. Pricing is reasonable, lower and higher priced options are featured on the large menu. read more

As a Mill Valley resident, I have been avoiding going here until earlier this week. I had to try it once. Looks like it has a nice locals bar scene, but as far as dining goes, it leaves very much to be desired. The prices are high for what you get. I had the Cioppino: it looks good, but the broth had zero flavor and I could tell that the prawns were "fresh frozen". What else in that dish was frozen before?? For a little more money, you can have a fresher than fresh Cioppino with an incredible broth at Tadich Grill. My friend had a pancetta pasta dish: it tasted strange - I don't know what else to say on that. The tiramisu was good but probably not made that day....came in a refrigerated dessert cup. The cesar salad was mediocre...nothing inspiring here. The place is huge and never is full, so the ambiance is a little strange. The host and waiter seemed hurried, yet, the place was empty. I am pretty forgiving and not a big yelper, but I had to say something about the town I love in hopes that everyone can up their game. I wish I had another haunt to hang out in, but this is not an inspiring place to me that is calling me back. Especially with all the other Italian places in Mill Valley, I am not sure how this place stays afloat. read more

First visit, and definitely not our last! Hubby started off with a delicious spinach salad with Portobello mushrooms, bacon, and gorgonzola cheese. I had, but this really is more of a shared dish, the Frito Misto - fried seafood and veggies with a yummy tartar sauce. For entrees, they had a special of short ribs - no knives needed here folks. So tender - and perfect over mashed potatoes and a sprinkling of sweet peas. I had their pork chop, stuffed with ham and mozzarella cheese. So good! Looking at our neighboring tables, there were many other things that we'd like to try on our next visit. Ravioli and pizza is definitely on our list. The restaurant was pretty packed. Luckily we made reservations. We ended up in a side room that I'm guessing is normally open to the outside. They had up the tarp 'wall' and the heat lamps on - which was fine with me. We actually were glad we sat out there, because the noise level in the actual restaurant/bar got pretty high. We had the nice quiet area to enjoy our meal and not have to shout across the table to each other. read more

Understaffed = long wait at the table (should stay away during peak times). great location in downtown mill valley, atmosphere upbeat maybe just go for drinks at the bar - you can be trendy there. read more

We went to Piazza D'Angelo recently. We have frequented this restaurant for about 20 years and found it superb for service and food. Unfortunately, it was sold and has a new owner, Felicia, who needs to go to hospitality school to learn how to treat customers. We asked her to turn the loud music down, whereupon she replied: that's the music we play here. You don't need to come back. This is the second restaurant where we have had this experience. Seafood Peddler accommodated us and said, as we left, "thank you for coming." Of course, it is easy to understand which restaurant will see us returning. Noise pollution and rudeness abound in Marin. read more

I read a lot of these reviews and I can't believe they're talking about the same restaurant that we had dinner at tonight. Two stars are pretty generous - it had a bad, pretentious overly Marin-y kind of feel from the first moment we sat down. I was with the g/f and my teenage daughter. We were greeted immediately and asked if we wanted drinks other than water. We had a rough night the night before and declined any additional drinks - you could tell the demeanor change from the server immediately, like we were cutting into his paycheck or something. And the place is loud - like annoyingly loud. Anyways, on with the food... They have burrata - we love burrata and who doesn't, right? You love the rich, creamy, soft and gooieness of burrata. This was a firm, solid piece of cheese that was a poor, poor excuse for something to be called burrata. We split a Caesar salad - easy right? Meh - limp, overdressed, too much cheese (like 1:1 with the lettuce . We also split the TAGLIATELLE BOLOGNESE - this was by far the WORST representation of the night and it actually made me angry. The pasta was hard, gummed together and tasted like it went from a bag/box into a pot of water, then stored in the fridge and then microwaved for service. This is really a Milly Valley "institution"? The bolognese was forgettable - believe it or not, for an exponentially better pasta dish you'd be better off driving a few minutes away to Tiburon and visit Don Antonio for fresh, homemade pasta. My daughter had the Margherita pizza - that's pretty hard to screw up; but somehow, it still wasn't to expectations. I saw them using a pizza oven; but, it was a soggy mess. Just such a huge disappointment. Do yourself a favor and spend your money and your time elsewhere... read more

Ok, had to bump it back up. I really did miss this place and I was having a hard week so I decided it was time to come back. (And I had to promise that if service was bad again, we would never come back here) The garlic pesto dipping sauce is so great with the walnut bread! I love it! I ordered the roasted duck with fingerling potatoes. It was a little salty for me. Jeff ordered the Tagliolini alle Vongole - noodles with garlic and clams in a white wine sauce. The sauce was so good! I kept dipping the bread in it. We also got an order of grilled asparagus and a tiramisu. As we were digging in, I mentioned to the waiter that we didn't receive our asparagus yet. I guess he forgot. I'm noticing a pattern at this place - the waiters are pretty forgetful. Also, service can be slow, even though the place wasn't crowded at that hour. But, the tiramisu was good so all was forgiven. read more

Good Lord, what a fantastic late night meal! After a failed photo shoot with my friend Kristen, we opted to go eat. There wasn't anything in Tiburon or really all of Marin County, but we managed to stumble our way into Piazza D'Angelo after a sad attempt at getting ice cream. I ordered the steak, and Kristen ordered the Pizza Margarita and Carpaccio. The Carpaccio was really good, from what I could taste of it. Kristen would only let me get a little bite, cursing me for being so damn stingy and not getting an appetizer (to my credit, my steak was 16 ounces!) Then Kristen's pizza came out. I wasn't too much of a fan of it, but Kristen insisted that this was how pizza is supposed to taste in Italy, and that it tasted perfect. Well, I'm no Italy afficionado, so I'll take her word for it. Now onto my steak - this was the best steak I have ever tasted in my life, and I've tasted many cows in my lifetime. I ordered it medium rare, and for some reason, that confused the waiter. "Are you sure you want it medium rare?" "Wait, like medium rare? Not medium right?" I guess they do it different in Italy? Regardless, that steak was the right amount of juicy and flavor. I'm salivating at work just thinking about it. Oh crap, some cute girl in the other cubicle just saw me drool onto my shirt. Whoops. It was an expensive late-night meal (hey, I'm getting a food quality light years ahead of Taco Bell and J-Bo!), but it was worth every penny! Waiter said would bring water. Never did. In fact, never came back to take order. I could see him flirting with a waitress in the hall for a while. Finally after being prompted to get back to work, we were able to put our orders in. We got someone else's dinner and our dinners were all put in front of the wrong people. I ordered pasta and got fish. I asked what it was and he said "I don't know". Hmm. Food was pretty good, not great. Bathroom was atrocious - really filthy. I can't comment on the food, because after 15 minutes without a waiter stopping by, we gave up and left. Note that we didn't get a waiter even AFTER making two separate trips to the host station, first for menus, then (10 minutes later) to politely ask "if a waiter would be coming by... ?" My wife and I decided to try one of our regular favorites tonight, Piazza D'Angelo Ristorante in downtown, Mill Valley. One of the two brothers/owners was there tonight - Paolo (there is always a family member at the restaurant to make sure everything is running smoothly!) as well as the son-in-law, Natale Cardamone, the General Manager and wine buyer. Also, making sure the kitchen was running like a Swiss watch, Massimo Covello, Chef/partner was in the kitchen producing some of the most wonderful Italian dishes this side of Italy! Marilyn, my wife, had Fetuccini Verdi and I had the Fettucini con funghi and pancetta (ham). Althought I'm usually a Chardonnay drinker, my wife loves Pinot Noir, I decided to try something different, a 1/2 bottle of one of the best Pinot Noir's we've ever had, a 2007 Row 11, from Santa Maria, California (bottled in Graton, CA). My goodness - heaven in a bottle. Overall, food, service, price, atmosphere - the best in Marin, even on a crazy weekend with the Mill Valley Film Festival going on. These folks know how to run a restaurant and take care of their customers. Thanks to all of you at Piazza D'Angelo Ristorante in Mill Valley. We love you! After trying D'Angelo's many years ago, we decided to try it again. The evening got off to a bumpy start as we were seated outside on the patio. Despite some thin, plastic, and see-through tarps that surrounded the patio, we were kinda cold (however, the heaters helped somewhat!) For our appetizer, we had the tuna tartar. I thought that the fish was very light and fresh; however, I thought it was dripping in oils and dressing. For our main courses, we had the pollo ripieno, pasta with shrimp and articokes, and zuppa di pesce. I thought all of the dishes were very yummy as we were full in minutes because of the huge servings. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake with caramel sauce- delicious! Overall, I thought D'Angelo's was pretty good, and I will try their authentic Italian food again! ***Caution- D'Angelo's bread with pesto sauce is to DIE for! Do not skip out!**** read more

My wife and I occasionally visit Mill Valley, and D'Angelo is usually where we eat, mostly out of convenience. The place has up periods and down periods. Most recently (May 19 2012), it was really down. The quality of the food was decidedly below par, and service was indifferent. This is a contrast to the last few times we have eaten there, over the past year or so, when everything was pretty nice and the place seemed to be on an upswing. Will D'Angelo come back? It has before, but it seems like eating there will probably always be a gamble. read more

I have eaten here three times in the past month and would go back again as it is reasonable priced and the food is dependable. The first time I had the mixed salad and salmon special, both of which were excellent! The next time I had the mixed salad and halibut, which was very good but slightly overcooked. On another occasion, I had a chicken Cesar salad which had a delicious dressing, however, I ordered it to-go a few nights later and it was a disappointment. The bread is very good, the wait staff is friendly, I think my only complaint would be that I don't really like any of their red wine by the glass choices, so the last time I was there I ordered a Pinot Grigio that slipped down nicely. Not bad for out of the City...I don't necessarily see myself making the drive out to go here (too...country?) but it was nice to have good food while out on business. Yes, it does say Roasted Airline chicken. Hopefully Airline is a brand/line/stock and not a direct reference to Northwest or Southwest airline chicken which is, frankly, unfresh. It was tasty and the mashed potatoes and asparagus were good as well. Willing to host a rowdy bunch out on an offsite business meeting and that's all good to me. I guess the whole town of Mill Valley LOVES this restaurant but I honestly don't see what all the hee-haw is about. Yes, it's in a nice part of downtown, yes, it's a nice looking establishment, and yes, it's probably been there for years and has probably seen it's share of famous Mill Valley people, whoever they are. Well, their food isn't all that good. The bread and dipping oil was very yummy but my risotto special was actually quite awful. I didn't care for it one bit and ate maybe a third of my meal. My lunch buddies had other dishes, one looked like something I could make at home, for 1.00 yet they were charging like $17.95 or something absurd like that. I mean, if you are going to charge prices like that, give me some food that I can't make in my own kitchen. I know it's Mill Valley but that doesn't mean prices have to be astronomical. Best italian in Mill Valley! I always ordered the cappellini pomodoro each time...and the burrata. DELICIOUS and SO FRESH. As a matter of fact, this was my take-out meal of choice for a) my first night home from the hospital and b) our last night living in Mill Valley. We did take-out mostly (we lived across the plaza) which was great...we did one night at a table and one night at the bar. Both outstanding service. I love, love, loved Piazza d'Angelo. read more

My first time here. I have to say I am embarrassed for them, and disappointed. I expected to get an exceptional fine dining experience. My boss and I came I only to be served a bottle of mineral water we didn't order, looked past it. Soon after getting better seated I called upon to waiter to ask about a particular item, he couldn't explain or put into words what the dish was, regardless we proceeded to order a Pizza dish and Bolognese to eat family style. 15 minutes come and we are served the wrong pasta dish alone with out the pizza, we weren't sure, but caught our selfs after, they came by and picked up the dish and didn't even apologies. No manners, no respect, I get it, give them some slack because they are busy right? Or some would say. I called for the manager and they pushed me and denied my request rudely and kept on saying things were fine. I tell you, I've eaten at many premiere restaurants in San Francisco and silicone valley, way busier and have never experience such awful service. I think they make cheese cake factory look like a 5 star restaurant and I've only been there once. None the less... We uncomfortably continued on and waited for the correct dishes to come, granted the food came, and was exquisite, licked my knife clean. Manger person came over and asked if everything was ok, that he had heard that there was an issue, I explained to him what happened, he apologized, it made things better and actually began to think about dessert them which I had lost interest for. Before he left, both him and the waiter promised to discount the pasta and mineral water, in other words only charge for the pizza and anything ordered after that. They failed to keep their promise. I worked in fine dining in my teen years and my service in high end restaurants was better. People I worked for were much better about handling their foodies. They made it about the customer and it was their priority to give a feeling of coming back. The dessert and coffee ordered was superb, but the check came back with only the mineral water discounted, and not the pasta. It was on them, promise broke and it came off as a lie and dishonesty, their deal to not keep promises and make up for the uncomfortable experience. The branding does not do the food justice. This was overlooked by my dining companion and I many times because the awning looks like a pizza shack tucked in between fine dining establishments. How wonderful to discover it's an Italian restaurant with thoughtfully refined food that is able to maintain an old world backbone. Starters included: Il Bruschettone - grilled filone bread brushed with garlic and topped with fresh tomato, basil, oregano, niocoise olives, fresh mozzarella, arugala and Piazza D'Angelo extra virin olive oil AND the Insalata Mista con Barbabietole - organic baby lettuce, beets, shaved aged ricotta, all grain mustard and balsamic vinegar dressing. The starters were surpisingly filling, so we split the Conchiglie alla Contadina - small shell shaped pasta sauteed with chicken, sun dried tomatoes, broccoli, garlic, chili peppers, white wine, and pecorino cheese. Should have tasted the dish before having the aged parmesan add more salt to it, but it was a simple yet lovely dish. Can't wait for warmer weather to enjoy the patio dining that is currently covered but in use. People watching is pretty interesting in here. read more

Last weekend, I spent a lovely day exploring Marin and Sonoma while my parents were visiting. Honestly, the only thing I've ever heard about Mill Valley is that Tyler Florence had a store here. Turned out to be a glorified Williams Sonoma... I'm glad we discovered Mill Valley though because it is a super cute town and Piazza D'Angelo does an amazing brunch. I had a Kobe beef burger that was cooked to a perfect medium with 2 sunny side up eggs. My dad got french toast which was stuffed with mascarpone and literally covered with berries and walnuts. My mom had crepes with the same topping. I have to admit, I was a little jealous because the french toast was to die for!! Did I mention that drinks are only $3.75?? I had a bellini... nothing beats prosecco at noon :) Service was great, very friendly and not rushed. I'd love to come back to try more things or have dinner, except it would involve crossing 2 bridges and driving through san francisco... read more

Date night last night was supposed to be in the city but I was determined to try another restaurant in Mill Valley beside Vasco. After all, its kind of embarrassing that I've lived here for five months and the only restaurant I've been to is one I went to before I even lived here. The BF is an authentic wood-fired oven pizza fiend and wine snob extrordinarie, so it wasn't hard to convince him to try Piazza D'Angelo. I was shocked at how many tables there were when we walked through the door and frankly it was really off-putting. It was also incredibly loud, which was also really off-putting. However they offered us quiet table in this enclosed outdoor heated porch area which was really nice (once they turned the heater on overhead). The garlic olive oil in a little paint pot on the table was kind of gross - at an Italian restaurant I want good crusty bread and good green olive oil. Weird dark walnut-studded bread belongs on the table of a different type of restaurant with good fluffy butter. The beet salad was good, though plain - the beets were really inconsistent in size which probably means they didn't come out of a can, but they still tasted like they were can-bound at some point. The organic baby greens were perfect. I had the Pizza con Chiodini e Arugula, which was really fantastic. Fontina was a good choice for this combination. Chiodini mushrooms are those teeny ones that kind of look like a peg. They are mild in flavor but added a nice faux-meatiness to the pizza. BF had the butternut squash ravioli, and it was kind of disappointing to him. I didn't try it, but it didn't look all that appetizing. I highly recommend the Tuscan blend we ordered: 2000 Infinito (SuperTuscan) Castello Monastero (90 in WS). The markup is only $10, so its a pretty good buy. The service was only slightly flighty and distracted - we were her only table on the porch, which made for a very awkward section. I forgive her. I'll definitely hit this local spot up again, but probably just sit at the bar, drink wine and eat pizza. read more

Great ambiance for dinner, and casual enough for a quick lunch. Very fresh, tasty, well prepared....everything! I found myself spending $10-15 every day at Mill Valley Market for lunch, and then I went into D'Angelo and realized I could be eating very, very well for just a little bit more. The service here is pretty good, the owners are very warm and double as the hosts most of the time which I love, it shows a pride of ownership. They greet you when you come in, and make sure you are happy and full when you leave. I highly recommend the sauteed prawns with Spinach and artichoke hearts...its so satisfying but you can still function after..no food coma. the pizza could be crispier in my opinion. read more

Piazza D'Angelo is set in the heart of Mill Valley, with a quaint patio situated along a well-decorated alley that makes for a pleasant luncheon. However, I wasn't impressed with the food that I experienced on our visit here. Bread: Two sourdoughs are offered, including a walnut loaf. The slices seemed a bit stale and the accompanying oil was lackluster. Nobody took more than one slice. Caesar Salad: The romaine was wilted from far too much dressing, and it seemed that the dressing didn't have any anchovy in it. The shaved Parmesan was a nice touch, but overall the salad was not good. Margherita Pizza: nothing special here. The sauce is well-seasoned and has a great herbal tone to it, but everything else was quite boring. The crust is a thin version utilized in all their pizzas, but the dough needed a much longer ferment period to develop flavor. Pizza Rustica Con Caprino: Sliced tomatoes, mozzarella and goat cheeses, sun dried tomatoes, Kalamata olives, basil, oregano, and arugula. There's too much going on here, and you don't really get any flavor unification. Salsiccia Picantte: This is the best of the three pizzas, with spicy calabrese sausage and Calabrian chile peppers stewed into a ground, saucy topping. It was a good contrast from the tart goat cheese and the fresh cherry tomatoes. This was gone quickly. The patio is absolutely gorgeous, but that's really the best quality of Piazza D'Angelo. read more

So let me start off saying I didn't actually get INTO the restaurant. I was in the area for the MVFF and thought I'd check the local eatery scene to see what was good to eat. It was nearby and the party I was with suggested we check it out because when they went by, the menu looked good to them. We went by to check out the menu and yes, it did look great. There were only 4 of us, and it looked very busy but we asked what the wait was. A man told us "Oh it's going to be a loooong wait... Like 20-30 minutes." Uh, that's not long at all, I've waited at Chili's longer. Hell, put our name down and we'll be outside! He mentioned there were a lot of reservations and taking a glance at their list it looked long. I'm a wee bit claustrophobic so the crowd was getting to me. We waited outside for a good half hour before we checked in again. They said they had "called our name" yet no one came outside to get us? We were RIGHT outside and we told them we were going to be outside. Whatever. No need to make a big scene. So they said no worries, we would be "next." A half hour goes by, it has now been an HOUR and they hadn't called us. Sure they were overwhelmed, but they did not not offer anything nor apologize for their terrible wait time estimate. In fact, I think we were subject to age discrimination (I am 90% sure I was the youngest one there). Hey, just cause I'm not balding and don't have a suit on does not mean I do not pay/tip well. My problem with this place is as follows: If you overbooked yourself with reservations, TURN AWAY people and ask them to come back another day and apologize. If you are that busy, please don't give us a half-ass estimate. 20-30 minute wait turning into an hour? Don't BS me, I'd rather you tell me an hour and say "Maybe next time we'll make a reservation" than "I'm never going to try and go to this place again." If you are simply overwhelmed, at least offer a drink at the bar, and offer your apologies. Why, yes, I am understanding that the MVFF crowd was lookin' for dinner, but really, this isn't the first year for them. Appropriately staff and prepare for an event and know your limits as a business. Two stars for food that looked great. If you are still interested in this place, I'd suggest make a reservation. I was super excited when I saw that this place serves gluten-free pizza. As with so many places in the bay area the crust is from Mariposa bakery. Unfortunately this was not one of the better uses of their crust. The crust was soggy, sauce was mediocre, cheese wasn't great, and it didn't cover the entire pizza. I wanted to like it, b/c I like to have a variety of options when it comes to lunch spots for the one day a week I don't pack mine, but this won't be going on the list. Oh well. read more

D'Angelo is pretty much the only "happening" place in Mill Valley. By that I mean, this is where the locals come to feel like they are engaging in some sort of nightlife scene. They get dressed up, flirt, drink, and strut around. D'Angelo has nice ambiance. I wasn't wowed by it, but it's nice. The dining area in the back is positioned underneath a vast skylight, which I thought was a cool touch. The only downside is that this restaurant is incredibly loud. It's obviously extremely busy here, even if the rest of the town is closed at before dark. As far as the food, it depends on what you order. I had a shell-shaped pasta that was somewhat bland with chicken that was somewhat rubbery. The other people at my table had tasty meals, so I guess it's hit or miss. Overall, D'Angelo is just fine. Great menu selection that will satisfy all appetites. We came with 2 munchkins who ate happily as their food arrived quickly and the adults enjoyed the breads, Frito misto, poached eggs with salmon, fruti di mare, tortelloni and other items. This has been one of my neighborhood eateries for more years then I'm willing to say. A lovely restaurant as far as the decor and layout go, with several outside dining areas for the nice weather, and a roaring fireplace for the wet winter months. The food here is incredibly dependable. , and the menue only changes slightly with the seasons. A good Minestrone, ditto their Ceasar Salad. The Seafood Stew is one of their best offerings, ...also a fine Duck in a Balsamic sauce. Fine home made pastas, good if not great pizza. And a huge tray of fattening deserts which they wheel to your table. They fall down in the service department, which can be agonizingly slow and chock full of attitude. Piazza D'Angelo offers a a full menu with a good variety of different meals. Although the fare is Italian overwhelmingly, even the salads were done very well and very fresh. The service was prompt, but made it easy to enjoy good conversation with friends. What I liked about the menu was the relatively uncommon combinations that were included in each dish. My ravioli contained asparagus, pears, cheese and more. The gnocchi was prepared with basil. These combinations were interesting and intriguing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a classy, but casual evening meal in Mill Valley. read more

Love this place. Good food in a good restaurant. Very consistent, and easy to get a table. I've been there several times, and am in love with the Strozzapreti con Cavolfiore e Uva Sultanina. I know...i had no idea what it was either...and the description took a leap of faith (pasta, cauliflower, raisins, safron sauce). SO good. addictive, really. Desserts aren't always a home run. Had a molton chocolate cake that didn't exactly leak a lot of chocolate (note that I still ate the entire thing). Waitstaff and hosts all very friendly. All in all a hit. read more

Piazza D'Angelo catered an event I recently had and I was impressed with their service and food. The pre-event coordination was very smooth and they clearly/professionally handled any food and financial questions I had. The event went really well and I cannot compliment the food service enough. It was superb. The food was all high quality and it tasted wonderfully. They even individually labeled the lunch boxes with everyone's name on it. It looked extremely professional and really eased everyone finding their lunch. I've been to Piazza D'Angelo for lunch, dinner and drinks various other times. I came here for lunch today with a dear friend. The restaurant was pretty empty when we were seated but picked up quickly during the lunch period. They have a good 2 item lunch with a variety of choices. I started with their Insalata Di Fagioli, a salad with baby lettuce, fennel, butter beans, walnuts, balsamic, shaved grana padano cheese. For my main course I had their Fettuccine Funghi E Pancetta, house made fettuccine, seasonal mushrooms, house made Niman Ranch bacon, Grana Padano cheese. I must say that the pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious. I also had their house red wine and coffee at the end. Very upscale and attractive restaurant in Mill Valley, with good service. Metered parking was reasonably easy outside (Mill Valley downtown is a mess right now due to some construction). read more
