We stopped in for breakfast. Food was delicious.. very tasty. We had the fried egg, sausage and cheese "sammich" and the fried egg, bacon and cheese "sammich" along with some excellent peach cobbler and coffee. We were looking for a place to have breakfast in the area and found them on the internet. Our lucky day. They were getting ready for lunch and the food we saw coming out was appetizing... great looking pork chops. The folks there were super friendly and we loved the ambiance and decor. A rather unusual place, Pic-N-Pay is a cross between gas station counter food and a sit down eatery. For breakfast I chose a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. It was good and the price was right. The clustered, local vibey dining area was occupied by one other customer and the owner who knows everyone who comes in and makes them welcome. It's a little out of the way, a little dingy, and the parking is limited and kinda confusing. I'd eat here on occasion if I was local. read more

Dag, this place needs some parking! I did see some folks walking over from the library of the credit union, but when my mom and I dropped by today there was a parking lot full of cars and 4 people inside - employees and customers. Huh? Pic-N-Pay has food. It has food and drinks and daily specials and no seating so whatever you want has to be to go. This Wednesday and (I'm thinking but not sure about) every Wednesday is chicken spaghetti day. You can get the daily special with sides and bread or you can get items like chili dogs or a hamburger or barbeque sandwiches. I got a pork chop sandwich and some deviled eggs that were a little squished but still tasted good. I love deviled eggs. The white bread on the sandwich tasted a little funky to me so I threw it out when I got home, but the chop was still very yummy and big. It had a bone in it which I thought was odd for a sandwich but I know not to chomp on a bone so everything was a-ok. The portions are very generous, so if you're picking something up for yourself and a pal, just one daily special would be enough to feed both of you. All in all, it was a good lunch. It wasn't the best food I've ever had, but it was good and I like the whole concept and order of the place. If the bread had been a little not-so-funkier I would have given them 4 stars. I'll have to try this again on another day when it's not chicken spaghetti since that's not what I was craving. They also have frito pies and good snacky items like that and their walls feature awards for Best Hot Dog and Chili in Marshall so I'll definitely be back to try out a chili dog. Great lunch spot though. They just need more parking. read more

We have been here maybe a dozen times over the years. JG score overall of 5.5/10 (+1.5 for food, +1 for atmosphere, +1 for price, +1 for Diet Dr Pepper, 0 for service, and +1 for we would return) The food here is a variety and fairly good over the years. Burgers, Barbeque, Baskets of fries with fish or steak fingers, breakfast, vegetable line with a daily special for a meat, sandwiches, cakes and desserts and such....most of the foods here are above average and some very good. The atmosphere is kind neat. Sport themed with football helmets hanging everywhere and a heavy Texas A&M theme. Lots of little things everywhere for decor it can be fun to just look around. There is now seating here so it is good to just sit and eat= before it was just takeout. Price here is always under $15 unless you are just super hungry. They have fountain Diet Dr Pepper. The service is friendly but they don't have time to talk with how busy they can get. We go here maybe once to twice a year. read more

Disappointing other than very friendly staff. Veges from a can, chicken fried steak a frozen patty. Most concerning is the auto receipt by email which came without asking for my email. Somehow tied to my debit card is my guess, but nothing was mentioned about an electronic receipt. Food prepared by the staff could be better based on reviews. read more

Good food, good people. They have a little bit of everything, and it's all good and it's all fastish. In and out in under ten minutes usually, faster if there isn't anyone else in line. All the food is good, I'm partial to their Brisket Tacos. I really like that they aren't stingy with the meat. The brisket tacos are on fajita sized tortillas and you can't hardly close them. Also, you have to get some of their deviled eggs when you go. They are INSANE. The parking can get crazy especially around lunch time, but the fact that Pic N Pay has been in the same spot for so long tells you something about the food. read more

just noticed that I hadn't updated my review on Pic-n-Pay in some time. This place just keeps chugging on. I think that the menu has expanded a bit since my last post. In addition to the justly famed chilli, and my favorite the vegetable soup, they have now added one entree with vegetables for each day of the week. Also a bit or BBQ and desserts. Nicest folks you could ever hope to meet run the place, and do a great job. A real small town gem. read more
