Amazing service and staff! We came at a busy time on a Saturday. We were greeted right away and all the ladies were just so friendly especially our server Nuvia. The food was delicious and flavorful! 10/10!

On our way home from an event, had a long drive, we were starving, yelped restaurants... this one came up... hmmm Peruvian food sounds great! The place is small, but full, they tell us we have to wait about 30 mins, they call us in about 15 mins later, wonderful! Love it when we get called before the expected time. We all got Lomo Salgado with either rice or linguine, because apparently that's what we were all craving. For appetizer we got papa à la huancaina, delicious and settled our hunger a bit. Food took some time, but don't mind if the food comes out hot... which it did! Yay! We all loved it, the green salsa was spicy and yummy and added so much flavor to our dishes. The service was great, friendly and attentive. We left happy, still tired, but satisfied! Delicious Peruvian food!

We had the yuca fries, lamb and seafood rice. Delicious! The service was quite quick and friendly as well. We definitely will be returning with friends. Thank you!

The food is perfectly made and tastes AMAAZZZINGG with the servers being fast with great service. I'm especially happy to have a local shop that sells chica morada (purple corn juice) And the restaurant it self is a comfy and lax environment so it's a treat to eat there. Was craving a lomo saltado and picante did not disappoint! Kinda pricey but satisfied my craving. The noodles in the green sauce were super flavorful and the meat was tender. I just wish they added more tomatoes and onions.

What a fantastic Peruvian spot. Came here randomly for lunch. Ordered to go. Cute little restaurant in an unassuming plaza. There aren't many Peruvian sports in the area so I've had my eye on Picante for a while and I'm kicking myself for not coming sooner. Ceviche - husband got the ceviche and said it was ok. I think maybe he was looking for something with a little more punch in flavor but liked that it was well made and fresh. Papas - these were really good. Potatoes were cooked to perfection. Nice thick, creamy slices. The sauce good. Just the right amount of seasoning to not be overpowering. Really creamy. I could eat a whole plate to myself. Tellarin Verde con Lomo - the star of the show. First of all, the steak was packed with wok hey. You could really taste the smokiness, which is key, in my opinion. Onions and peppers were equally cooked well. The linguine with the pesto was chef's kiss. The pesto sauce was just right. Balanced and paired perfectly with the lomo. I so much prefer this to the fries. The aji verde sauce had a nice citrusy punch with good heat. The spiciness doesn't linger, which is perfect. Really acts as the perfect brightness to cut through the rich meat and starch. Defiantly my new go-to Peruvian spot going forward. Everything we had here was amazing, though there's a lot more on the menu I'm looking forward to trying.

If you want authentic, made to order Peruvian place you must try Picante. Its a little hole in the wall, but when you walk inside your welcomed with friendliness and simplicity. I typically go for the lomo saltado with plantains, yucca, and I get their little cookies to go. They do have a ceviche trio plate this is a burst of freshness in your mouth. I will say their price point is a bit high and keeps increasing it seems so I knocked off a star for that. Its hard to find consistently good Peruvian food but this one hits every time.

This spot is honestly some of the best Peruvian food I've ever had. My girl ordered their pesto pasta with steak and I ordered the steak. Everything was so delicious. We came in at 8:30 and they closed at nine but they were so welcoming. We were the only ones on a Thursday night. The atmosphere is nice. I really liked the decor and the music. I ordered a passionfruit drink and also got Jores to go. This was the first time my girl ever tried Peruvian food and she loved it. She said multiple times she's coming back.

Peruvian food is always so flavorful! I ordered the Tallarin Saltado with beef and the seafood rice, chaufa Mariscos. The green sauce was good, but not the best compared to other peruvian restaurants. It's more on the spicy side but still good to have a bit added to the dishes. Had a great meal at Picante in Ontario -- a hidden gem if you're into Peruvian food with bold, vibrant flavors. I started with the Chicha Morada, and wow -- absolutely stunning. Super refreshing, not overly sweet, with that unique blend of purple corn, cinnamon, and fruit. Honestly one of the best I've had. The Ceviche de Pescado was another highlight -- super fresh fish, and the balance of acidity, texture, and flavor was spot on. The leche de tigre had just the right amount of citrusy kick without overwhelming the dish, and the mix of corn and sweet potato added great contrast. For the main, I had the Lomo con Tallarín Verde. The steak was tender and flavorful, and the green pasta sauce had that perfect creamy, herbal punch -- rich but not too heavy. It's a really satisfying combo of comfort and flavor. The space itself is casual and friendly, and service was attentive throughout the meal. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu -- the flavors here really stand out.

My overall experience here was terrific. Picante is a new family-owned restaurant with a delicious Peruvian menu. The place is small and lively. The servers were very kind and answered my questions about the menu items well. Upon ordering, we received our food fast as well! I would recommend checking this place out! ~Order~ Seco de Pato: The flavor profile of this dish is incredible. Each item in the dish complements the others well, and no flavor is overdone. The portion is substantial as well and left me stuffed! Combo Marino: This is an entree but ordering it as an appetizer does well! We shared this and loved everything on it. Tallarin Saltado de Pollo: My dad got this dish. The portion was substantial and tasted incredible! Lomo Saltado: Such a classic dish. You really cannot go wrong with it. Delicious! Hubby and I came in for lunch, we got sat right away. We ordered the seafood fried rice, lomo saltado and fried bananas. Everything was served fresh and hot! We drove here from Upland around 3pm on a Sunday. When we arrived, there were quite a few people inside and during this time of a day for me that is usually a good thing. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. We noticed they had quite a few choices for Peruvian drinks so we opted for them and they both were quite refreshing. We shared the Papa a la huacaina and it was delicious. It was seasoned exquisitely. I decided on the Pollo saltado and my girl had the lomo saltado. Both dishes were great, but the lomo was beyond delicious. I wish I had ordered that instead but now I know what to get next time. Not to mention in this economy the prices are very fair. First time trying it. The place is really nice. The food, it's good but not the greatest and I know they just opened up so I'm giving them time. One thing I wish if they see this, give more quantity of food than less. For the price, it was to little of the llomo Saltado and the Arroz Chaulfa as well. You need to give a bigger portion of food. But overall I still recommend this place. I will return in the near future to try them again. read more

I love Peruvian food. In the IE, there are not many of these places now. There have been a few here and there over the years that have failed due to poor service and low quality food. My top three places I have been to are 1. Andina in Portland, 2. Limón in the San Fran, 3. El Rocoto in Cerritos. This place falls right in line with the ones I just mentioned. Their menu is very limited in the number of options, but everything we had was excellent. The service was on point. Nice home-y environment, clean place. Nice, subtle decor, and the music slapped. If you're not trying to break the bank, and have excellent Peruvian food, you gotta try this place. Items I tried: Ceviche, Lomo Saltado, and. Chaufa de Pollo. All delicious. read more

This is my first time here had a appointment across at Kaiser off the 60 fwy and vineyard . Want to be somewhere close I found this place in a shopping center. The are near a pizza and hotdog place. This restaurant is small and very clean. The prices at a Peruvian place are a little expensive , so I try the chicken dish that I've had before. In other places. This was a little bit salty, but good I had the plátanos and chicken and fries kids meal for my nephew. I also ordered chicken empanadas to go they were amazing!!! The chicken and fries for the children's meal was really good and tasty !!! Ill food is nice and service was nice definitely be back to try other things on the menu!!! read more

Great food and kind service. I went during the dinner rush so the food took a bit long but it was worth the wait. They had a busy weekend so they ran out of steak, so I ended up getting the pesto pasta with chicken and the lamb stew-both were delicious. Interior isn't spacious but the large mirrors and beautiful mural set a fun vibe. read more

We we're at Kaiser Ontario late and needed dinner. This place is near Brandon's Diner just on the other side of the freeway. We loved it! The food was so good. Hot and full of flavor. We had an appetizer, the cold potatoes in yellow sauce with olives, and my picky eater hubby really liked it. I had the pesto pasta with steak, and hubby had the steak with rice and fries. I ordered the unique Peruvian drink made of purple corn, cinnamon, and pineapple (I think). Sorry, I can't remember any names of the dishes. It was our first time eating Peruvian, and we will be back. The restaurant is small but clean. There's a great mural on one wall. Service was excellent. read more

Wow! What a surprise. Inca's falls into the "hole in the wall" category with maybe six or seven…read moretables, but that has not stopped them from producing some amazing dishes. I had the Tallarin Saltado de Mariscos and the dish was fabulous. The mariscos included abundant shrimp, calamari rounds, and mussels, along with tomatoes, onions, red bell pepper, and green onions, of course mixed with tender pasta. This dish can readily serve two. My guest had the Tallarin Saltado de Carne, which was similar to the de Marisco dish, only with asada rather than seafood. It was a huge serving, with over half coming home for later. The table included the green peruvian ahi sauce and some warm bread rolls. The sauce was nice and spicy and the rolls were slightly toasted and served hot. The bread helped mop up the outstanding sauce on the mariscos dish. Of course, Inca Cola was available and a great accompaniment to Tallarin Saltado. Prices are flat out amazing and late lunch service on a Sunday was spot on. The Empanada was filled with seasoned beef, olives, and hard boiled eggs. The filling was flavorful although the crust was more tender than crisp. It could have used some additional time to attain a decent outer crust. Pollo Saltado consisted of a large portion of tender, boneless chicken, stir fried with French fries and onion and served with steamed rice. It was delicious accompanied by the rice but was very salty from the soy sauce by itself. (This is an extremely common occurrence with this particular dish due to the varying salinity level of different soy sauce brands.) Since the saltado had a good overall flavor, if I were to order this again, I would recommend requesting that the food be made with a little less soy sauce. A dinner roll and butter blend was also served with this meal. The Chicha Morada I ordered as a beverage was delightfully delicious and refreshing from the mix of various fruit juices. The waitstaff were polite and efficient. There were no problems for me as for the service. The restaurant is freeway close to the 10 and there are plenty of parking spaces in the lot. Most of their business seems to be take out but dining in is also a good option. So the food was 5 stars, but what made me write this review was the owner Patty. She was warm and gracious. Asked us what brought us to Claremont and when we told her we were there to tour colleges, she was kind to share her insights on the school, experiences with the students, told us about safety and transits in the area. Remember this was all after the restaurant was already scheduled to be closed for the evening. We were never rushed and Patty was sincere and kind. As a frequent traveler and woman in business, I appreciate that.
