Great breakfast burrito at this hidden gem in OC & close-ish to Disney. Located in a strip mall with a Northgate supermarket, this place serves up some really good breakfast burritos at a great price, along with other items I haven't tried yet. Bacon Breakfast Burrito - My husband and I shared this one and we were both full from this! It includes eggs, potatoes, your choice of meat (bacon, ham or chorizo), salsa and perhaps some other additions that I don't remember. They gave us both a green and red salsa and both were really good but my favorite is always a green salsa. The red salsa is also good if you want some heat. Would definitely come back again for this. We got our food to go but they have some seating inside. I believe you get free chips and salsa if you sit inside but none if you get it to go (we did not receive any). As a 20+ year resident of Anaheim, this little "hole in the wall" is my Go-to place when I need some Bomb Mexican comfort food. The place might not look like much, but the magic is in the food. Personally, I find it difficult to choose between the Chile Verde plate or the Chilaquiles verdes with carne asada. Regardless, I'll always get a quesadilla de Tinga and take it home if I can't finish my meal. If I feel like a special treat, it's the Molcajete for me. For the Molcajete Regular: So many flavors! So delicious! Comes with Carne Asada, Chorizo, Grilles veggies (onions and cactus), with some cheese and bomb salsa. Plus a side of rice and beans + tortillas. Upgrade to the Molcajete Ranchero for some Shrimp and Grilled Chicken! The services is great! You'll oftentimes find the owner working the grill himself, so he makes sure his customers are satisfied. I came to eat menudo with my family because we usually always come here for their menudo but this time when we went to sit down we automatically noticed the waiters giving us weird faces and then we ordered our food and when they brought out our food the waiter had a hot plate of menudo and my baby nephew was sitting at the end of the table and the waiter comes with the hot menudo and passed me the plate infront the babies face when she had the other side open to give it to me and to top it off our menudos came with trash inside and when we went to go tell them about it they seemed bothered. read more

I will go out of my way to visit Picantes as they have really good tortas and a variety of Mexican food. My favorite has to be the torta de milanesa. The only reason I knocked a star off was because their customer service is lacking. The ambiance was unwelcoming . The waitress that served us was not great. She kept on bickering and mumbling stuff to the cashier as we paid our tab. We been coming to Picantes for years and usually Customerservice is great but yesterday evening was unpleasant. Right when we walked in, nobody greeted us even though we were the only ones there and at least 3 employees up in front. We were looking at the board menu and noticed there was no prices on the items. We had bad experience from before and just didn't wanna risk good or bad food at possibly premium prices so we walked out and went to another place instead. The ceviche was tasty, ask to make it spicy and they'll add fresh diced hot pepper. The taco was made with handmade tortillas. The taco salsa was a bit spicy but not overpowering. Excellent carne asada when it's fresh off the flattop. The first time I came last week the asada was good but not super fresh off the flat top tasting. Today I ordered a carne asada burrito with just asada, avocado and cheese inside wet which means smothered in sauce and topped with sour cream and warm salsa. Customer service was on point, place was clean. Some tables needed wiped but they were busy and understaffed so get over it and wipe your own table or kick rocks. Hahaha. Food was on point.
