Encountered a Picasso Paving company vehicle on the highway. I observed this company car tailgate another car as they tried to pass a semi-truck. The Picasso Paving vehicle flew into a road rage. Apparently because this other vehicle was not passing the semi-truck as fast as the picasso paving vehicle thought they should have. As the picasso paving vehicle eventually passed the vehicle already speeding going 77 in a 70. They rolled their windows down and began shooting the other (slower) vehicle they passed with some kind of air soft gun or paint ball gun. Shooting the other vehicle with numerous rounds of whatever ammunition they were using. Then after shooting the car. They moved in front of that same vehicle and slammed their brakes in front of them and nearly ran the driver and small child in the car with them off the highway. Which could have easily killed the occupants of the unsuspecting car. It was a disgusting incident I watched. I know this because my husband and child were the ones in the car that was shot and run off the road. We were driving two vehicles to Seattle that weekend as a family. I watched from about 1/8 mile behind them in horror as all of this unfolded. Truly disgusting and scary how this man was driving the picasso paving.com company vehicle. Judging by the photo of the company website and the picture my husband took of him while he rode next to them harrassing them and trying to get their attention. The driver and the owner of this company are the same person. Be on the look out and tell this man to get his temper under control. He will eventually kill someone if he continues this type of behavior. read more

My review is very similar to what Paula S wrote. I have a huge cedar whose roots broke through my asphalt driveway and were heading to my foundation. Lonnie responded to my request for a quote with an in person visit to my house within two hours of my calling him. I got two other quotes for the job on the same day, one higher and one lower than Lonnie's, however, I knew as soon as I met Lonnie that I would give him the job. He walked me through the process including how he would preserve my rock and stone border and how he was comfortable with the amount of roots that had to be removed and the impact on the tree. I did have an arborist consultation and followed his suggestions which included have the tree branches thinned out. It is an improvement. Lonnie and the team showed up on time, 7:30 am and had the job completed by 10:30 am. He and his team worked so well and so efficiently together that it was as if Picasso himself was manning the paintbrush as my old driveway went out and my new driveway went in. Lonnie did suggest flaggers be included in the job as I live on a busy arterial and Lonnie and the team have a lot of trucks and equipment which does occasionally have to block a lane of the road. I am sure my neighbors appreciated that extra step. I am extremely pleased with the job and will have Lonnie back in the fall to seal the driveway before the rains, per his suggestion. read more

Unfortunately, my experience with Picasso Paving LLC and Lonnie has been very disappointing. The company was hired to replace my concrete driveway with asphalt back in Q4 2024, a project that took two days to complete. However, just six months later, significant issues have emerged. Multiple large white stains appeared on the driveway, apparently caused by the material used underneath. The asphalt has also proven to be too soft--on a warm day (around 85°F), my car sank into the surface, leaving deep impressions. In addition, the driveway shows multiple imperfections, indicating poor workmanship. While these problems might be manageable if the company honored their one-year warranty, the owner has been completely unresponsive. Despite multiple attempts to reach out, I've been ignored and no one has even come to assess the situation. I had high hopes when I chose a family-owned business with experience, but this has been a frustrating and disappointing experience--especially with the lack of accountability from Picasso Paving LLC and Lonnie. I would not recommend this company. Based on my experience, Picasso Paving LLC did not deliver quality workmanship and cannot be relied upon to address issues after the job is done. Picasso Paving was fantastic! They were responsive, thorough, and caring throughout the entire process, even accommodating a small design change on the job day. They transformed my multi-level, barely one-car driveway into a stunning, flat, four-car driveway in just a few hours! The quality of their work is evident, with the driveway maintaining its pristine condition a year later. Initially, we parked in different spots to avoid developing dips under the tires. Unfortunately, we hadn't compacted the ground enough when filling a hole from a broken waterline a few months earlier, resulting in a significant dip. I reached back out to Picasso Paving to explore my options for fixing it. Picasso Paving did an excellent and high quality job of redoing and regrading our cul-de-sac and driveway asphalt. Lonnie Dillman (owner / operator} was very honest and competitive in his bid. There were no hidden charges. Lonnie was very knowledgable in his advise and very easy to communicate with. He took the time to answer questions and explain the process. The whole crew was professional, courteous and went out of their way to do an excellent job. They completed a number of finishing touches that sets them above other companies. They also were very considerate of the landscape, foliage and personal property, and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. The job was scheduled and completed as contracted. Picasso Paving hit one out of the ball park again. Prices competitive, quality great, and their professionalism, excellent. This morning the crew arrive with several large trucks and trailers and completed this job in only two hours. Granted, it will be another two days before we can really drive on it, but it is walkable. But I must say, having dealt with many people in the construction business involved with large projects, this job must have been one of their smaller ones, but the attention to safety, quality and mindfulness impressed me enough to take the time to write this. Lonnie and his crew were fantastic from start to finish! We had a tree that buckled our driveway with the roots. After we had the tree removed Picasso Paving came out and replaced the lower half of our driveway. It was a seriously difficult job digging out the giant tree roots but they made quick work of it! They had all the cool equipment (backhoe, steam roller, dump truck, etc) and neighbors came out to watch the job. They were done in 3 hours and left the site cleaned up well! I appreciate that they were able to help us stick to a tight budget by only doing a portion of the driveway. The plan was to pave an accessory driveway alongside and behind our shop. An added bonus was to use the area behind the shop for a home basketball court. Picasso Paving arrived with an experienced team and all the necessary equipment to prep, expand, level, and grade our larger than 3000 sq ft site, in one day! We were impressed with the entire project and their ability to run the asphalt along our existing driveway and create a channel to divert water flow into an existing concrete channel drain. I had my driveway paved in November of 2023 and Lonnie's team was great! I showed them my plans and designs and they got right to work getting everything prepped and set up. I was building a custom designed driveway gate and they were able to listen to my project and walk through the phases to get where we needed to be. They created a French drain at the bottom of the driveway and worked their way up to the front of the road. Lonnie and his team did a great job on our new driveway. Slope (14% grade) of the new asphalt was smooth and blended well with the existing adjacent garage & outside parking space. They worked well with a rather meticulous City of Bellevue inspector assigned to the job, and even agreed to re-do the concrete curb at the bottom of the driveway after he objected to the results of the first attempt. These guys are awesome. Picasso recently paved an approximately 1000-foot-long driveway/access road for me. They were onsite early, tuned up the fine-grading that another contractor had completed, and were laying asphalt by 8:00 am. The crew were professional, explained everything, were good-humored, and truly seemed to enjoy their work. I was pleasantly surprised they completed my fairly large project by 1:30 pm. A month later including some heavy rains. The driveway is holding up even better than we had hoped. Where there is no tree cover, it's compacting nicely, soaking up all of the rain rather than having it run off and create gullies (we have a rather steep hill, and there is no run-off!) Where we have tree cover, the surface has some loose rock on top, but is still holding up extremely well. Very happy with the work so far! read more
