This is my new favorite Italian restaurant!!!!! We had lunch her for my husbands birthday. Started out with the spinach dip. It was served on rolls and was absolutely fantastic. I had the Ethan Marco pasta, again amazing but my husband got the eggplant and it was outstanding. It was a special and I highly recommend it. Picked up dinner to go tonight for the extended family. The food was very good and the sauces were unique and flavorful. Salads had super fresh. I have never experienced anything like this, I have a Colorado ID (obviously) and ordered an alcoholic beverage, I'm 22 AND I'm a bartender myself and they wouldn't serve me alcohol because it was an out of state ID but I have never had an issue. They took my ID for over 10 minutes examining it, which is embarrassing in itself. read more

Fantastic all the way across for food, service, and ambiance. The portions are sizable for the price. I highly suggest you call ahead for a reservation. The building is nice, as well as the interior. Clean and simple, yet modern in design. Destinee is a great server. The menu is organized and not overly complicated. The entrees were fresh, hot and delicious. The desert tray could have looked better, but the first bite of the salted caramel cheesecake had me forget about the presentation. My choice was locally made and some of the best caramel sauce my senses have experienced. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who enjoys Italian food. read more

The food is exceptional. Wait staff is very attentive-even though they are always hustling. We've eaten here several times, and have always left happy and impressed. Salads are ice cold, fresh, and crispy (just the way we like them). I have a fondness for the Italian nachos appetizer, and any special of the day (see pic of grilled salmon and shrimp). The hubs prefers the pepperoni bites appetizer and creme brûlée rigatoni entree. It's all so good! We've seen large parties having a blast, along with romantic parties of two. I consider this place a dressy-casual establishment in the evening, but casual at lunch. Outdoor seating is available. Once again, Piccolo has provided service and food entrees that exceed reasonable expectations! I joined a group of friends who have been dining together (at D'Arpino's before it closed, look for references to D'Arpino on Piccolo's menu) regularly for many years. We love the amazing gastronomic masterpieces that titillate the palate at reasonable prices. My friend Scot almost always orders the lasagna, which if you've ever tried it, you know is fantastic. Personally, I like to have an adventure in dining and therefore I will try new tasty inventions that are off the beaten path. This propensity led me to ask our outstanding waiter Clayton to get the Roasted Red Pepper Fettuccini with Scallops & Shrimp. This dish is fabulous because it is delicious but also, wait for it.... It is perfectly seasoned to arrive at that most rare entree: a seafood pasta dish that is also spicy! Before I close, I must tell about the incredibly scrumptious dessert known as Strawberry Cake (I got it free because the next day was my birthday ). The cake was so moist and delicious! I am always eager to try a new place. After reading the reviews here, I decided to order the Seafood Cannelloni. I also had the Caesar salad. The salad course made me laugh. There were a total of 2 croutons in the salad. I don't know why I found that humorous but I did. The bread sticks were disappointing. Pretty small and just not that good. The main dish reminded me of a frozen dish that had been microwaved. Just not that good. I wish I had saved my money and gone to Bambino's on Delmar. In town to visit family. Got take out on my sisters recommendation. So glad I did. First, staff could not have been nicer or more efficient. They were so welcoming from the minute I walked in the door. Second, I am vegetarian, so I loved that the menu had good options for me and the meat eaters in the family. Bonus, I got a free app for checking in on Yelp. The parmesan risotto balls were fabulous. We ate those up in a flash- crispy outside and creamy inside. We were in town to visit my daughter at MSU and made the drive to Nixa solely for the vegan menu. The "sausage" pizza was incredible! We also had the pasta in garlic sauce which was also delicious. Better Italian than you can get at a chain restaurant and the servers are always pleasant. Went here for my birthday and am gluten free so had a few options. They serve GF pastas. Wish they would consider making Balboa meatballs GF as I was looking forward to having them and luckily the server warned me about the bread crumbs. I was disappointed they had no GF dessert for my birthday but understand they are working on a vegan or vegetarian menu. read more

Our favorite restaurant in the area, hands down! Delicious food and appetizers! The online booking feature is so nice and easy to use. The staff is the happiest and friendliest crew I have ever met. Not sure what they put in the water, but they do it right for their staffing choices here. They are always so pleasant and accommodating. The manager comes around and checks on you. The pizza knots are the most delicious appetizer! The ONLY drawback is that sometimes they can be quite busy so be sure to book online or call them first.
