How in the world can I have moved here 11 years ago from California and not have known this place exists. I'm not sure I could tell the difference in a blind taste test between their burgers and In-n-Out. They are closer match then CaliBurger and CaliBurger prides itself on being a knock off. Half the price of Cali Burger, too. I Love Their food! To me, they are better than Dick's Drive-in. That says a lot, since Dick's is one the Best Burger joints in the world! PICK-QUICK Drive-in has a great menu choices. You can get order a single, double and or triple Patties. Their hamburgers are delicious. You get the works in your burger. Choice of GRILLED ONION or not. You can even ask for extra additional toppings like BACON! Their FRIES! Do not get me started! Their FRRNCH FRIES are the BEST! They taste like Dick's, but BETTER! I love them so much, I order 2 of them! They give you a nice portion amount. I had the double cheeseburger with grilled onions! Yummy! I was sad, I forgot to order BACON! I really wanted to like this more but it is lacking overall. This place is drive in only and it is not fair to grade it's lack of dining room because it is established in the name as a drive in however I would love to see a box like In N Out instead of greasy bag so it is easier to eat out of if I wanted to eat in my car. The burger is super thin so I would advise a double for sure! It is very comparable to Dick's except more expensive. The fries are also very comparable to Dicks as well with the limp hand cut fries except more fresh. The medium coke is about 12 oz so get a large. I do like the QP sauce they have which is really close to the In N Out spread. I will try again for sure but, overall it is missing on my bang for the buck scale by about .25 cents. read more

I'm not too sure how Pick-Quick wound up on my "to try" list... but it has since been removed. I was in downtown Seattle one weekend and a burger sounded really good... this was on a Sunday. Unfortunately the burger joints closest to me were not open on Sundays but Pick-Quick was. So I drove down here into the Industrial District to give it a try. For one thing my experience wasn't quick at all. There was one car in front of me and it took forever to get their order completed. When I ordered I wanted a single cheeseburger, fries and a water. Well they got the burger and fries right but they didn't put a water on my order. For the fries and burger it was just over five dollars... and you certainly get what you pay for. The burger has just some mustard and ketchup on it... maybe some pickles... there was indeed cheese on it so that was another part of the order they got right. The fries were incredibly soggy and not fluffy at all. Pick-Quick's burgers and fries are definitely on the lo-fi end with quality being the ultimate sacrifice. read more

The only nicety was the choice of grilled vs. raw onions to compliment the american cheese, but there were so few onions it didn't really matter. Better than McDonald's but worse than Zippys. Pretty fresh ingredients. They asked if I wanted my onions grilled or uncooked which was a nice little touch. Got a double cheeseburger and fries through the drive through and it took about 10-15 minutes. And I was the only person there. The guy wasn't very friendly either. He seemed annoyed when I ordered. They have great milkshakes though. Real berries in the blackberry shake. They also have more flavors than other places, like Almond Rocca. read more

We were looking for a local place to stop for a quick bite rather than one of the many chain fast food places along 4th. As a drive through only place, we scoped our the line and after only seeing one car ahead of us, decided to pull in and give it a try. The menu is pretty simple, straightforward and sourced from local ingredients. Burgers, hot dogs, fries, and shakes. What is great about Pick-Quick is that (as opposed to Dick's) you can customize your burger or dog with cheese, chili, bacon, or modify condiments. We got a fairly simple order, 2 cheeseburger, 1 fry, and a cold brew coffee shake. We were disappointed that it took approximately 10 minutes to receive our order and although we hoped the delay was due to freshly preparing our food, we were offered no explanation when we got to the cashier window. The burgers themselves were good, a little on the small side so if you're really hungry you might want to consider a double or ordering two. The fries were very good, not too soft or crispy and had just the right amount of salt. Lastly, the cold brew milkshake was thick and had a great coffee flavor. Everytime i come here the wait is too long. 3 cars ahead of me and it still takes 45 minutes or more. Pulled up to window and was not greeted for 5-10 minutes. Not exaggerating times either. I've already reviewed Pick-Quick, but since they changed the one thing on the menu that I went there for, I felt an update was called for. Although it's not listed on the menu, they do offer a chicken substitution for their beef patties, and their new/current chicken is SO good! It's now a piece of lightly breaded chicken breast instead of a ground chicken patty. This one blows away the BK chicken sandwich I used to get down the street. Yes, the wait time during the lunch rush still seems inordinately long (we call it "Pick-Quick-Cook-Slow" at the office), so I take a magazine with me, and I don't mind the wait when the chicken sandwich is that good. read more

I've been so excited about this burger place in an area without much originality, but after several visits it's consistency does NOT rival the chain burger places that are only blocks away and cost much less. I will say the veggies have always been fresh--love that! However, I have found the patties to be somewhere between AWSOME and very dry. Additionally, I love BACON ( original, I know) the first time I added it, there was lots on my burger--yum! Every time since, I get between some and very little. Fries--just avoid 'em. Usually cold. Fountain drinks have a weird mix going on, not sure what's going on there. So much potential. My visits have dwindled exponentially over last few months. Hey Snarky Responder--maybe the carelessness of how you read my review is the same problem you're having with consistency at your store. The Deluxe Cheeseburger is the way to go and don't forget the fries! With so many good fast food burger options in Seattle, I was curious to try Pick-Quick after hearing so many good things about it. Decided to try the walk up window this time, and the lady who helped us was so friendly. Didn't wait long at all before she came and took our order. Ordered a Deluxe Cheeseburger, fries, AND right now, they're making Pumpkin Spice Milkshakes! Pick-Quick burgers come with a made to order grass-fed beef burger patty topped with tons of fresh veggies (onions, crispy lettuce leaves, and tomatoes)...TIP: costs extra for grilled onions, which I will have to try next time. There's also an amazing sauce that tops the patty, which slightly reminded me of In-N-Out's amazing sauce. The patty was a little thinner than I expected, but the flavor of everything together was great! The milkshake was so thick and creamy, absolutely delicious. You can add various toppings to the milkshake too for a little extra $ (almond roca, fudge, caramel, etc). TIPS: There's a Drive Thru AND also a Walk Up window on the opposite side. If you're using the Drive Thru, there are Pick-Quick designated parking spots for you to park and eat your food while it's still fresh and warm. I thought I would try to give a bit more information to those that read this review. I have been to the 4th ave location about 6 times now, and each time the service is a bit different, and bear in mind, I really want this place to survive and to excel and make it. One of the things that keeps getting my attention is the fact that when the people are making the hamburger, they are really taking great care to make it perfect every time, the way they have been shown, its not their fault, they haven't had the pleasure of seeing how they do it at the original in fife. Its still taking way too long as far as the time it takes to get the order served. Its been taking between 6 to 10 minutes to get the order, and not always do they remember to put the ketchup in the bag with the fries, but here is the important thing, they are adding an inner paper "cuff " of paper around the burger and then placing it in the sack, that inner cuff of paper inst needed in my opinion, you have to fight a piece of paper that, so far every time has made the burger bun fall apart in my hands. The way the fries are served is also another negative element, the workers are putting them in the bag in such a manner that when you open the sack, the fries have left the container and are loose in the sack, which makes it a real chore to get them out of the sack if they are not in or on the paper tray they are using. I suggest a sack very much like dicks drive in, at least its a sack and not a tray that easily spills the fries. Today I was down in fife at the original and I paid close attention to how they do it down there. One of the key things that makes things go faster is simply this, they don't wast time by trying to fold a paper cuff around the burger, when its ready, they slide the burger into one single paper sack and that insures that the burger doesn't fall apart in your hands, and as expected, the burger I got today, ( a triple cheeseburger ) which you cant get at sodo or auburn, was perfect as it always had been for the past 20 years that I have been going to the one in fife. I know that sounds so petty and trivial, but its an important element as far as the experience you expect as a positive dining experience. The fries were good and hot and greasy as ever and they were placed in the sack properly so that they didn't spill out. I will further state, its more than obvious that there is a very different taste to the burgers in fife that what you get at the sodo or auburn locations, in my opinion its still the age of the grill in fife and the fact that the recipe in sodo and auburn inst the same as what you get in fife, that is just a fact, no getting around that. Bear in mind that people are working elbow to elbow at the one in fife, and there is a flow and rhythm that you don't see or feel at the one in auburn or sodo, a lot of what I attribute this to is simply this, at fife there is a older member of the burgee family running the grill and making sure that everybody is doing all of the prep work and functions the way its always been done, that is paramount to being consistent, and it shows. What I don't see at the sodo and auburn locations are at least an older dedicated worker that is the true lead person that really makes sure that things go the way that they should go, if they are going to truly try to be the same eating and dining experience as the original in fife, then in my opinion, managers at sodo and auburn should go with Mr. Centioli down to fife and have a good session of observation of the original, and taste the difference of the fife product compared to the product from auburn and sodo. I totally appreciate what ICON is trying to do, but its the little things and details that will truly make the auburn and sodo locations shine, if followed and adhered to, its just that simple. The reason I am still at 2 stars, I feel is reflected in what I have written here, that being said, that gives both locations a lot of room to grow and improve. I know its dam hard to get good help that will really give a dam about doing things right, that will always be an ongoing struggle, its just the nature of the game and food industry. I have been busy, but when time allows, I will do my best to call Mr.Centioli and set up an appointment to have a proper discussion and hopefully be objective in regards to helping his company duplicate the original from fife, its that important to me, and I am sure its very important to the public at large that wants to have the best burgers, just like the ones in fife at the original location. Saw the great looking branding and was excited for a decent option down in SODO. There were only four cars in front of us in the drive through but it took 20-25 minutes to get our food. We were hoping the food would make up for the wait. I realized why the wait was so long. Apparently they cook their burgers for 20 minutes each. Mine was inedible. Fries were soggy and under salted.
