This place is Amazing ! It's hours are not the best 11-2:30 I wish they were open more! They have a great mothers day special!

These guys do a fantastic job. We read the reviews and wanted a variety of salads for lunch, after camping up on the Stanislaus for three days. They have a fast system of ordering at counter and then you find a great outdoor table and they bring food out to you. Caesar salad, chinese chicken salad, walnut and cranberry salad with chicken - all top notch. The sides were wonderful too. Super friendly and easygoing place. Will return! read more

The location and setting is very charming, but I have been here a few times and have never been impressed with the food. On top of that, the owner and staff are incredibly rude. They act like they are doing you a favor by serving you, not like you are a PAYING customer. Im not sure they realize that they are running a business that depends on customer satisfaction. They even have a sign when you come in with a picture of the staff basically saying that they are not Burger King and you can't have it your way. It's a shame because the place is very cute but the food is mediocre and overpriced and the service leaves much to be desired. I mistakenly took guests there today and was incredible embarrassed by the entire experience. After the way we were treated today, I will not go back. read more

This is the only place to eat while in San Andreas.. Everything on the menu is wonderful and you really can't go wrong. My top 3 faves are the Broccoli Chicken Salad, Chars BLT w/ avocado and Rocky's Club Sandwich. Grab an iced tea or refreshing lemonade to go along with it and it might just make your day. :) read more

What a great hidden gem. I went here for lunch and was presently surprised with the experience. The menu had a great selection, the cranberry turkey sandwich is the bomb! Fresh sammies obviously made from fresh ingredients. It's a bit pricey though, and on busy days they have messed up a few of my orders. Nonetheless, pretty good service and yummy Sammies and salads. read more

One of the must have's in Calaveras County, if you're passing through. Their sandwiches, hell, everything, is good fresh and never from the freezer. The owner takes pride in the product she produces and she has the lunchtime buzz to prove it, so if you're coming around lunchtime, be prepared for a bit of a wait. great find it was recommended by a nearby hotel.. I'm so glad I stopped. what a find in an old house.. you have a choice to sit inside,covered patio, or outside. what more can you ask for. oh yes good food well it has it all. I had the Big bravo on french roll,with their red potato salad..oh my what to say except BRAVO for it..so fresh and you really get your monies worth.. too full to have desert so took a slice if homemade lemon drop cheesecake it was wonderful.. so make the stop you wont be disappointed.. Drove by this deli many times and always said we should go there. Finally yesterday the time was right. Ordered the soup of the day (clam chowder) and Char's BLT for my wife and I to split. The soup was hot and tasty, and the sandwich was excellent: lots of bacon, tomatoes and lettuce on crusty wheat bread. We went in at 11:00 a.m. and it was just starting to get busy; when we left a few minutes before noon, it was very crowded and the line at the counter was growing. I eat here 2 to 3 times a week. The food is always great. I never have had anything that wasn't good. I like to try there daily specials. They must have a soup master . They have the best soups I have had in my life. If you like really good fresh food The Pickel Patch is a must. read more

I drive through this area a few times a month and have always wanted to stop and eat here but haven't had the time to stop. I had time today and I am so happy I did!!!! The staff was great, the lovely person (Tiler) who gave me my to-go sandwich (which I think she made but I'm not 100%_) made/delivered the best sandwich soup combo I've ever had!!! Went there yesterday for lunch with a group of people as my boss paid. Had a bowl of cheese chowder soup and it made me sick. Was off work the next day too still recovering. It also affected one of my co-workers. Cold sandwiches, stale bread, food is mediocre at best will never return!! read more

While the Pickle Patch isn't a terrible choice for lunch, I walked away feeling very lackluster about the whole experience. I got the BLT which had good bacon although the sandwich wasn't good at staying together, this ended in me eating it with a fork and knife. I also got an "iced coffee" which I put in parenthesis because it tasted like it was watered down Folgers with half a cup of milk in it. The location is nice for being off the highway, very peaceful and green patio area. My friend with me didn't enjoy her sandwich either, did we not order the right items? We went here for lunch. This place is great. It has indoor and outdoor seating. A very beautiful and peaceful green patio area.The staff is very friendly and polite. We both had the Hollywood Tri-Tip. It was amazing the bread was nice and soft and the meat was tender and just right. The menu is very fairly priced for what you get. This is a horrible place. They had my daughter come to work for one day. Just arrived from Sweden to make are home here. The mean girls that worked there bullied her made comment don't you read English. Wow we speak English read it learn in second grade in our country. Because we are not racist and ignorant people. These mean girls did not want a smart pretty interesting girl to out shine them. The owner is rude and unprofessional. These are labor board issues. The bully's and racist that work there will be reported as well as the owner . Sad if these people represented America. It doesn't matter if the food is good the people that work there are unforgettable hopefully we will forget this experience and have better examples of American people read more

Great place for sandwiches and salads! It's bit far out of the way for us but we were having a day out in the country. This is a review for the owner Gretel and her catering staff. We used them for our wedding in Murphys in September 2016. The food was amazing, the staff super professional and friendly and were there for the entire wedding, including set up and clean up. They have several options for catering: full service (what we did), there for dinner only, or food drop off. We started with family style bread and salad at the tables and buffet for the rest. We also had passed and tabled appetizers right after the ceremony. I really didn't know what I wanted menu-wise and Gretel's suggestions were fantastic - I barely had to do a thing. Best of all, the prices were SUPER reasonable for a wedding, way less than some of the other caterers in our area. If you're planning an event I would 100% recommend Gretel and Pickle Patch! (They also have great sandwiches). read more
