I came to visit my Mom for two weeks from East Tennessee. This place was recommended by my Mom. She said they usually have very good pizza. I was not impressed. The bottom of most of the crust was very dark, I would call it burnt. We ordered it delivery. It was cold. We wanted half with onions and peppers and cheese on the other half. My Mom had to actually use a pair of scissors to cut through it because it was impossible with a knife. Very disappointed. Next time I'm ordering from Pudgie's. Dude seriously. We order $54 worth of pizza one completely wrong the second unexpected and the way it's handled is ridiculous. Ordered a pepper and onion got a pepperoni. Ordered a cheese..that was correct. Ordered a meatball and ricotta cheese pizza. How the hell do I know that when I order meatball and ricotta that u don't put red sauce?? I don't ask for red sauce with a cheese pizza but that's what I get. Meatball was ground and not sliced as per menu topping description. Ricotta is a CHEESE not a sauce. Had to literally fight to get money back as guy wanted to bring back a pizza the driver had in his car for half hour. Being rude about it is completely unacceptable. Yup u gave me my money back yup u took the pizza back that was not as described or ordered. But have a little customer service and don't treat customers like crap. Had an order last night delivered ! Wife got a calzone that had glass in it!!!! We also bought a cheese pie! Let owners know that we had glass in the calzone! Love the pizza and the atmosphere and the staff! It's real pizza, not that cardboard stuff from a chain restaurant and it's all handmade, seriously, you can watch them make the dough and all! Personal favorite: turkey sub, with everything on it and a side of hot sauce. It's to die for! read more

While their New York style pie is pretty good, for me the real stars of Picnic Pizza are their squares. Their sheet pizza is very good IMO and their Sicilian is also good if you like a thick, spongy crust. Their tomato sauce is nice and generous toppings. Their chicken wings are some of the best in the area. Very good subs as well. I love that they offer Pepsi products instead of Coca-Cola as most places do. read more

Went back to try again. Not impressed at all. The pizzas we got were way over priced for what it was. Walmart has better frozen pizza then this. Better off going elsewhere. It was so bad my wife was shocked when she was away for business that the pizza was not eaten and I tossed it. Wasnt good and no toppings really for adding toppings. Not sure how others like this pizza. Might want to take a trip to NYC and get a taste for real pizza before selling this stuff... yuck. read more

Picnic Pizza is my favorite in the area! We order delivery from the store in Miners plaza. It always comes hot and fresh, and in a timely manner. I love the flavor of the sauce and it's always cheesy. The Hawaiian is good, too! We like the thinner NY Style crust but if you like thicker pizza, the Sicilian is good. This is one of my favorite pizza places in my area and it's very upsetting when the manager of the business was very rude over the phone to weekly regular customers and tried to make it sound like I was lying when I said I ordered fries and was CHARGED for the fries but then told me I didn't order fries. Placed an order over the phone without getting a total. Assumed that the prices they had posted on Facebook and an OFFICIAL website were correct. Snack pack price posted was $19.99. When I went in to pay for the food, it came to $25+ tax. Was told that I couldn't get the food for the price that THEIR business posted. Employees were extremely rude and very unapologetic. Instead, they told me that they "don't update" their Facebook page and that the extremely official website was "not theirs." It is very clearly NOT a third party sight. I love the pizza here and the picnic special is one of my all time favorite subs. One thing that is really lacking is the sausage sandwich. If you are a true lover of great italian sausage sandwiches you will be severely disappointed. I've always enjoyed their subs and never had a problem with service. I went in to get a slice of pizza for my girlfriend and the guy at the counter is handling my money and my pizza without gloves. Pizza isn't too bad but the subs are amazing it's too bad they absolutely refuse to put pepperoni on a sub when you are will to pay extra. I had to ask to get pepperoni on the side and that was even a battle. So the amount of energy they are going to use to put pepperoni on the side in a bag they could have just just out it in the sub. Be VERY careful when ordering from this place! My husband ordered mozzarella sticks for me and a Turkey sub with fries to go, they shoved everything in a small bag. The marina sauce opened up and spilled all over the order and the fries container opened up and spilled all over. My husband drove BACK which is 30 minutes away and the manager would NOT remake this order OR give us our money back! So sad that a place like this would treat their customers so horribly. We went there atleast once a week, well, no longer! What a terrible way to treat a customer, they must be really money hungry to not make it right!
