This place has THE BEST salads in town. I'm so annoyed at the people on here saying the salad was chopped up too small. Smdh, that's literally THE WHOLE POINT. Every bite is the same. I love coming here! I am hooked on the Concord grape salad dressing (so unique) and the build your own options. The menu of salad bar and pizza makes me feel like I'm getting a well balanced meal of something healthy and something tasty all with super fresh ingredients made right in front of my eyes. My fave menu item here is the bbq chicken pizza (wood oven) and build your own salad with lots of goodies topped with Concord grape dressing. The portion to pricing ratio is very fair imo as you can choose diff sizes for each. The menu is full yet not overwhelming making it easy to choose. The top portion of strawberry fields salad was really good but alas, the (quite costly) salad was soaking wet, which ruined both taste & texture. The bacon sunk to the bottom & was limp from drowning in water...the dressing was so diluted by water that I couldn't enjoy much flavor. after continuous pressure to try this place from a friend, i finally caved...and im glad i did! as soon as you walk in, it's a welcoming atmosphere and i noticed it was very clean. the salad was amazing; a small was around $10 with tax and the perfect size -- even had a little bit of left overs for later! I did the create your own options and the options seem limitless..the 2 employees helping were very welcoming and amazing! This place still gets a 5/5 from me. I ordered a small create your own and a small chicken pesto pizza. Both are delicious. The service is quick and efficient. The employees are friendly and kind. (The last two photos are what I ordered today.) I'm getting over being sick and am not that hungry so I'll definitely have enough food for three meals. I only get a half hour for lunch and if you order online you can skip EVERYONE in line, go y the register, and cash out!!! Or just pick up your food, if you already paid online with a credit card. I usually get a small create your own salad because you can choose whatever ingredients you want, instead of being limited to what's in their other salads. I chose a large create your own salad today. I didn't add a protein (chicken, egg pieces etc.) option so there wasn't an additional fee. There's a spot on the bottom of the online ordering section where you can give the employees specific instructions. What to get: CYO large salad w/kale What else: CYO pizza w/red sauce & fresh mozz This is the greatest salad chain in the whole world and this location is pretty friendly and gets really busy and provides healthy salads and pretty yum pizzas of the create your own variety to the whole of the southtowns and Orchard Park Community. However, I prefer both of the other locations. The Transit E. Amherst original is the standard-bearer and they make pretty big salads and are pretty friendly. The Sheridan Drive is the gold star location where they make salads twice as big, and everybody there is my best friend. Then the Orchard Park location is still playing catch-up. Both times I've come here my salad was half the size of Sheridan or smaller. Which is kind of an issue to me to be honest. Because there are not many salads that fill me up and the other two locations can both get it done. Having said that I still have to give them five stars because just the fact that you can pick as many toppings as you want, they're always fresh, always delicious and just the very concept and the price point - as hipsters would say - it's five star all the way. But if they can catch up to the awesomeness of the other two stores that would be even better. Skip the bland proteins. But then if you live in Orchard Park (much as with E Amherst), any hint of spice will probably be a bad mix with the 57 prescription pills you're on, I know how it is, and I'm deeply sorry that Pumpkin Spice Lattes are soon to be gone for another 9 months. Pizza size is very generous too. It's a million miles away from typical WNY greasy pizza but it can be a nice little addition to a delicious salad. Don't get me wrong. Real Buffalo pizza wins. But on the sliding scale from Franco's/Good Guys/Imperial/Bella at the high end, to Papa John's and licking the seat of a toilet (OK, nah, toilets aren't THAT bad), Pie O Mine is actually closer to Franco's than the Peyton Manning end. Ordered a make your own pizza from their seamlessly easy to use website today. I ordered at 3:00 so that it would be ready at 5:00, walked in a couple minutes early and it hadn't even gone in the oven yet. I had forgotten how hot a wood fire oven really is, they put it in and three minutes later it was perfectly cooked, handed to me precisely at 5:00 p.m. as ordered. I love the create your own concept. My latest salad creation was field greens, strawberry, craisin, pineapple, chicken, quinoa, feta and sunflower seeds. I was able to get two dressing choices on the side so I chose strawberry and raspberry vinaigrette. I ended up liking the raspberry better. Next time I think I'll try the concord! I visited the Amherst location a few years ago to get a salad and was quite disappointed by the staff's lack of knowledge about their dressing ingredients. I had to wait about 20 minutes for someone to find a manager and then for that manager to make a meager attempt to find out which dressings had dairy in them. In the end, the manager wasn't even 100% certain. Because of that, I really hesitated to visit the Orchard Park location. It wasn't until some vegan friends of mine mentioned the pizza- and how many different ways it could be made vegan- that I decided to give them another shot. I'm so glad I did! The pizza was delicious. Staff were happy to find a manager to answer my questions about dairy in the dough and sauces. And they even had vegan cheese for a small upcharge! I went with a traditional crust, the small 10" size and chose the garlic oil for my "sauce". Since there are unlimited veggies, I piled them on! Broccoli, spinach, artichokes, black olives, basil- it was the best pizza I've had since I gave up meat and dairy! The edges of the crust were crispy and chewy and the center was soft and bread-like. I will definitely be adding this place to my regular rotation! Thank you to the kind staff and management for offering dairy-free options and being able to answer questions. read more

Pie-O-Mine offers custom wraps, salads, and pizzas. I opted for a variation on the greek wrap. You're able to pick as many vegetables as you want (re: substantial and healthy goals) This was a plus for me. They take all of your wrap/salad fixins and put it on a large board to chop up. I get the appeal of this, but for myself, it's not that necessary. The wrap was a size comparable to a burrito. Their distancing/cleanliness was top notch. Everything was cleaned between each guest. Tables were marked off. The whole restaurant was very much up to Covid codes. All the workers were plenty helpful too. I'd come back to try the pizza soon! read more

I love that you can create your own salad adding in as many mix-ins as you would like. Only meat, avocado, and extra cheese are an upcharge. All the veggies and fruit were very fresh. The blade that they chop up the greens with is the best part. This way I don't feel like I'm spending forever cutting up my salad. I do recommend that you ask them to chop up the greens before adding in the mix-ins; otherwise you end up with small pieces of veggies/fruit that aren't as satisfying. They will also mix in your salad dressing so that it is evenly dispersed. The large salad is very big and definitely shareable. The service is OK. I was tempted to take off a star because the person making the salad was in a grumpy mood and seemed annoyed when putting together my salad. We tried it here a few weeks ago just for a change in pace and to try something new. We placed an order through their website for pickup, it was a pretty easy process! Our food was ready pretty quickly. I ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap and asked for no celery, because celery is just one of *those* foods for me. I can't stand it, I hate the taste. Took a bite of the wrap and quickly discovered that they put celery in the wrap :( had there not been celery, I would've enjoyed it, but I really couldn't eat much more of it. My boyfriend was pretty underwhelmed by his wrap, too. He didn't dislike it, but he didn't really like it either. What I'll say is that the pizzas looked and smelled amazing, and I wish we would've ordered one of those, or even a salad. Overall, a pretty bummer experience for me. This is a "make your own" pizza and salad place. I've never been here before and considering my son works here, a visit was overdue. I went here with my daughter for a quick bite one night. The employee who greeted us was very friendly (not my son ) and asked us what we would like. My daughter ordered a cheese pizza and I opted for the make your own salad. They had a variety of fresh options for pizzas and salads. Since my daughter had ordered a cheese pizza hers was pretty simple. I was able to choose from a variety of fresh veggie options for my salad and then some protein and topping options. My son did end up chopping my salad and topping it off with a very delicious strawberry vinaigrette that they make in house. Surprisingly, very good! Today was a snow day. My daughter was told not to come in to work and local schools were cancelled due to anticipated weather conditions. Grand kids were home as well. Did everything online and all was correct at pick up. The grand kids devoured their "c&p". I thought the Margherita was great. It could have used a bit more basil. My daughter was on the fence with her "vodka" choice, I thought that it was tasty. The salad was dense and flavorful. My past experience with "wood fired" has been Jay's. There is no competition. These pizzas, although not quite the same, were good. Expensive, yes. I believe that you get what you pay for. Sidebar....I'm hiding a few slices for tomorrow. No one needs to know. You can pretty much go all out with whatever you desire. I never had their pizza, so I cannot comment on that. I've had various created salads and never had a problem til'my last time. The last salad I had, had 5 hairs in it. Yes, 5! I'm bald, legit bald, so these long hairs were definitely not mine. I noticed one about 1/3 way through the salad. Cool thing about the salads, once you pick out all your toppings, they chop everything up together and mix it with your choice of dressing - it makes eating salad easy and fun. They also have a point program where you can earn money off future orders. As a matter of fact, just this Monday they gave reward members a free cheese and 1 topping pizza coupon, no purchase necessary. The staff is always friendly and helpful, last time I was here, I (being naturally clumsy) spilled my fountain drink and a young man hurried over to help me clean it up and put me at ease by telling me it happens all the time. I usually love this place but lately their wraps have not been up to par. I usually order a Chicken Caesar Wrap. All including the chicken, cheese, croutons and the Caesar dressing. Well the last 2 times I have ordered this wrap their has been no dressing in the wrap and once I didn't even receive any dressing at all. Also, the second time that i ordered this wrap the croutons were only at the bottom of the wrap not through out. It is very sad to see this as I enjoy there food. But come on a wrap should have the dressing on the inside of the wrap at all times unless asked not to be included. Or maybe when ordering online they should have an option that states to have the dressing in the wrap or outside of the wrap. All online ordering shows is what you would like in the wrap. Came here for dinner with my girlfriend and her parents. It was the first time any of us had been there. There are four monitors on the wall with options for pizza or salads. You can customize whatever toppings you would like, which is always a plus. We ordered two small pizzas, and the flavor was less than satisfactory. The cheese had barely melted on the pizza before it was pulled from the oven. I've had better frozen pizzas before in my life.
