We went with modern metal roofing with baked on paint; so durable, even though we live in an area with frequent strong storms, and still looks as beautiful as the day it was installed, 15 years later now. Piedmont roofing did a standing seam metal roof replacing a roof on my garage. They did it in one day including some underlying repair work to the supporting wooden frame.
