Today was the first time I had stellar customer service Dessert Pies are always great and i tried a couple of their savory pot pies today (bake at home) and they were delicious. Favorite Pies so far are the Caramel Apple, Blueberry and Banana Coconut Cream. Their crust is flaky and usually baked properly, but it does not have a lot of flavor. I have gotten a couple of different pies before and been very happy. However, last night I decided to try a single size pot pie and got the green chili hich comes frozen and you have to bake it yourself. I had no company and decided to get a single slice of pie from their refrigerator case. I chose a prepackaged slice of Lemon blueberry, not paying a lot of attention to the condition of the pie. I came home and followed the directions of the lady from the store and the directions that were on the frozen pie (both the same). I preheated my oven to 400° and then baked the pie for one hour. The top of the pie look brown And I took it out to eat it and transferred it to a bowl. The pie itself was terrible. The contents were soup (Like water) with some hard cubes of pork that were very tough. The entire bottom dough of the pie was not baked... It was a GOOEY doughy mess. I thought I would at least eat the pie. The first bite I took tasted like the fruit part had mold in it. When I took it out of the packaging the top of the pie was cracked and a corner was broken off the piece. I took some photos of both and put them down the disposal. Gosh knows how long that pie was in the refrigerator case and I don't know how old the pot pie was but they were both terrible and I won't ever go back there again. That was $15 down the drain. Best cherry crumb pie ever. We tasted one at a Scottsdale farmers market and have been looking for the company ever since. We searched the web during another visit and voila, there they were. Same pie, same crack effect (being obsessed with eating the whole thing). It's very expensive around $30, but addictive things usually are not cheap. Folks in the store (pie pickup location) provide great service and it's clear from the ambiance of the place that they are very proud they only do pies. read more

We often get our pie slices from an amazing place in Arcadia and since I was working in N Scottsdale yesterday, I decided to try a new place to surprise my other half with pies. I got 6 slices and they offered $3 off. I was thankful. My total after tax was about $27. I got: 1. 1 caramel apple slice -sadly was just mushy sugar goo inside a weak pie crust (1 star) 2. 2 triple berry slices - also disappointing as it was just sugary goo with tiny berry seeds and a weak crust. I was hoping for more berry burst and less seedy goo. (1 star) 3. 1 apple slice- I ate this one out of the fridge which made it less gooey, but it was nothing to write home about (2 star) 4. 2 key lime slices- its not granny's key lime, but out of all the pie slices, it was the best. Tart. Pleasant texture. I prefer a graham cracker crust, but the traditional crust was fine. It let the filling shine through. (4 star) I won't be returning, But, I hope this feedback is received with an intent to Improve. read more

When a pie has the same type of dough as the other options is not a good sign, chicken pot pie is a soup I'm sure their recipes are copied from a Can of Campbells because this si not authentic pie. It's such a shame Arizona has no art. read more

We got the harvest pumpkin, chocolate cream and Georgia peach with French crumb. The harvest pumpkin had way too much allspice or nutmeg or both. The Georgia peach was also over-seasoned, probably with the same spices. It was so strong that the beautiful peach flavor was lost. The crumb topping was outstanding, however. And the chocolate cream was a pretty dull pudding-like pie. Overall, I was disappointed that I spent so much on these pies and no one loved any of them. read more

I picked up 3 pies for thanksgiving from the chandler location: pecan/pumpkin/cherry. Spent $72 so I was hoping the pies would knock our socks off. The pecan was good- cherry ok and pumpkin was awful. The pumpkin hardly had any flavor. It was a little embarrassing since we went to a friends for lunch and we were in charge of the dessert. We ordered mini pies - one Green Chili pork and one Italian beef. Although flavorable - I had to take it out of the pie shell to eat. The pie crust overwhelmed the pie. There was minimal filling but alot of crust. We also purchased a slice of pecan pie and apple. Both could have been better and really didn't have that upscale homemade taste that I think the establishment is going for. I would actually have given 2 stars because of the awful parking lot and getting in and out of the place, but that's not the fault of Piefection. I would probably tell folks to give it a try, but I don't think I'll be a repeat customer. read more

The service was friendly. The store was Inviting. I got two slices to give this place a try. The German Chocolate was a disappointment. I taste tested the crust alone and found it to be without flavor. It was a bit too strong on the coconut in the chocolate filling. I also tried the cherry crumble. The crumble top is really delicious but the bottom crust was not as wonderful and the cherry was a little too tart for my taste. I gave four stars because compared to some of the other pies I have tried at other pie places, it was worthy of 4 stars. I might return to try a fresher slice as I bought these two as BOGO bargain priced slices. Perhaps they were a bit stale so on sale. read more

I recently visited Piefection near my Aldi in Queen Creek. The staff was very friendly and informative. They have whole pies and slices for sale, even buy 1 slice and get another free. Lemon pie with meringue reminded my wife of her grandmother's pie. It ranks first with me, second is banana cream followed by Cherry crumb. I plan to return and try more desert offerings. read more
