She immediately gave us wonderful recommendations which we all adored. The table ordered praline bacon to share (do yourself a favor and get this), one ordered the praline bacon waffle, another ordered the bananas foster waffle, and I got the seasonal vegetable hash. We were all in HEAVEN with what we ordered. From the first bite to the last it we were all absolutely stunned by how delicious and well made everything was. I savored every bite as did my compatriots. One gal ordered a couple things to go for her family (huevos rancheros for the hubby and cinnamon rolls for her kiddos) and our waitress Davi recommended they bring out the cinnamon rolls unfired so that she could pop them in the oven when she got home after a short drive. It was such good attention to detail that felt like such a friendly offer. Absolute superstars, the lot of you. I know they get busy on weekends but we had no problem making a reservation and being seated promptly indoors. Their indoor space can get quite loud. They do have a covered side patio as well. We ordered some of their classic dishes: chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, banana foster French toast. Everything was absolutely delicious. I did feel some sticker shock at the prices ($17-24 ish) but the portions are quite large. They do have a kids menu as well as a full bar. Customer service was excellent, with a seemingly genuinely friendly server. Though they were busy, it was easy to get assistance as needed. The decor is wonderfully charming. Overall, Screen Door might not be an every-weekend kind of thing, but for an out-of-town visitor, a special occasion, or craving you just can't shake - it's absolutely worth the stop.

I ordered the Duck Stack and Oeufs en Mayonnaise, and both were incredible. The Duck Stack in particular was one of those dishes you keep thinking about after the meal is over. Wow, what a nice place! If you just want to chill, play some games and drink some coffee, then this is the place to be. The selection of games is impressive and the staff deserve a standing ovation for service. So polite, friendly and patient! I initially questioned the idea of paying a cover to play board games, but when you have people explain to you how to play the game and the atmosphere they create, its well worth every penny they charge. They do have a food menu, but we didn't really give it a try. Maybe next time. Highly recommend, for a good time with friends! read more

Stopped in for lunch a few weeks ago and had a pressed bagel sandwich and cup or homemade soup that only my grandma could have made better.
