    Zucchini fries to go
    Star M.

This is right next to my gym and nail salon, so every time I go to either, I stop here. The zucchini fries are my favorite go to snack when I'm in the area. Everything there is freshly made lightly seasoned and perfect for someone who wants flavor but wants to eat it healthy. The staff is super friendly, and their sauces, especially the house ranch is so good. Prices and portions are good. Just wish they added a little more salt to their tempura batter. That and maybe got softer seating.

1st time here. Cute little gem. Delicious hot food. The service was nice. Clean place. I was a come back to try the fish and chips next.

I can't believe I didn't know this place which has been there for 15 years according to the friendly employee. This place is another restaurant that would last and sustain with long term loyal clients, unlike the pop up greedy businesses that jack up the price using an excuse for rising costs when the actual profit margin become unreasonable. Will definitely go back again if I'm in the area

Tried this place for the first time. To go place that had no frills but pretty quick. Pretty busy when I went on Friday during lent. Got a 3 piece fish n chips crispy. Tartar sauce is a fresh tarter mayo. I also got a fish sandwich one of the patrons said they like the lemon pepper tilapia. Will try something else and come back.

I found the place via Yelp, and it's about 2 miles from our warehouse. They have a good variety of choices. There is the fish & and chips side of the menu, and there is a Hawaiian style menu. I ordered a 2 piece fish & chips and side of cole slaw. I believe they make their own tartar sauce, too. The fish was nice and crispy but got soggy because I doused it with malt vinegar...lol The fries were a little cold, but that could've been due to drive back and not eating there. I liked the cole slaw too, very crunchy and tasty. I plan to try the Hawaiian style menu on the next visit.

I ordered togo from this place. The fish n chips is really great! The fried fish is not too oily, flaky, mild and clean. I ordered the Dinner Kettle with 10 pieces of fish with fries and cole slaw. The portion is generous, and I was stuffed after 3 pieces of fried fish. This will be my go-to fish n chips place.

Fried zucchini chips. About 6 per order

Fried Zucchini chips! Located in the same strip mall as the LA fitness and other eateries, this is a small to go location with only a few indoor seats. Menu is split between fried seafood and Hawaiian style mixed plates. Parking is readily available since there are spots reserved for non gym patrons. I was craving fried zucchini. Haven't been here in awhile and it's changed from spears to chips. As mentioned in another post, the zucchini is slightly under seasoned- but if you're planning to dip in ranch- who needs the extra sodium. But I love how light and crispy the coating is on the zucchini. I ate them so fast that I'm not sure how they hold up when left out and cold. The coating is like a very light tempura that actually crunches when you bite into them. Different from some of the other fried zucchinis that are breaded. I personally prefer this costing over the breaded type. 9/10 I ordered the 1/2 chicken 1/2 short rib plate. chicken and short ribs are the standard Hawaiian plate type. It comes with a side of blanched veggies (broccoli, carrots, cabbage) that also is under seasoned. Which may be better for those who need to avoid salt. But what I love on this plate is the potato salad. I'm generally not a potato salad fan, but there's just had a great taste and slight sweetness to it. They only give a small scoop. I have ordered a separate side in the past in a larger container to enjoy at home. Plate lunch is 7/10. I give the potato salad a 10/10 but it's a bit pricey. Sorry was so hungry forgot to take a picture!

The Double deluxe I believe it's called? It's the fish, the 3 pieces of shrimp, fried zucchini and fries!

Love this place. Had a real hankering for some fish and chips and found Pier 1. I was NOT disappointed! Even after bringing it home, the fish tempura was moist and crispy and tender. With a splash malt vinegar and a bit of the tartar sauce --- This hit the spot on every level! Thank you! I'll be back!

Felt like some fish & chips tonight for dinner and saw some reviews on SGV Eats for here. I literally live 5 minutes away but have never tried it. Small place with maybe 3-4 tables, looks to be mainly to-go. I ordered the 3 piece fish & chips with a side of zucchini. I have to say that the fish, fries and zucchini were REALLY good. The batter was light and crispy and a nice seasoning to it. Not too greasy like some. The tarter sauce was excellent as well. Will definitely be back to try some of the other things.

I saw that you were closed on Tuesday, 1/28/2025 for the Chinese New Year. I called on Wednesday evening and there was no answer, so I assumed you were closed. Will you be open today, Thursday, 1/30/2025?

Are you still open for business?

Yes. I visit least every other week. Some of the best fish in the area. Great service yoo!

We had pretty good service and the staff answered questions about their food options. Plenty of seating inside if you'd like to dine in. We ordered two plates and the spring rolls. Fried rice: 4/5 The rice was pretty good but not like other places where there's egg & veggies. I feel like the lack of these ingredients made it a little plain. I think you could do either white rice or fried for a similar experience. Chow mein: 3/5 Pretty okay at the most. Isn't too overly greasy and not super long noodles. Not much to say about this item. Broccoli Beef: 3.5/5 Okay flavor, good amount of sauce. We appreciated that it wasn't too dry but the beef was chewy. Some pieces inedible. Orange Chicken: 4/5 Very tasty and the sauce had a good savory flavor. The right amount of crisp and not chewy. Would order again! Bbq Pork: 4/5 Very tasty but a little dry. I really liked that they included sauce on the side to add to your preference. Big pieces of meat though which made for a large portion. Would get again. Teriyaki chicken: 3/5 The chicken was ok.. had some tough pieces of skin so we had to remove. The chicken itself was nothing special, tasted like any other teriyaki chicken. Predictable and quick option if you want something local & fast. Spring rolls: 3/5 Good value and nice option for a quick lunch add on or side. While a little cold, it still had good texture & flavor. Would stop by for this again. Overall, it is a good spot if you're already in the area trying to find something quick. The portions are huge and will get you full, but it isn't the most flavorful takeout we've had. There are definitely other options in the area that can hit both flavor & quick pickup in one go. Unlikely to return unless I was in a rush for something fast.
