11/03/2024 My 2 meat combo plate Chow mein, orange chicken and Kalbi beef short ribs
    Kenneth L.

11/03/2024 I come by here once a month, sometimes I feel like having some chowmein and beef short ribs. (Kalbi) Short ribs cost a little extra but still you get a lot of tasty food. I got chowmein, orange chicken and beef short ribs for about $15

Was craving takeout so decided to stop by here to check it out. It is a small shop, your typical Asian take out to-go place. Although exterior-wise may look a bit worn down, don't underestimate this place. Upon ordering, they STACK the food, to the point of overfill, which got my jaw dropping. Such a good deal on the prices as well for that quantity of portion! I could not finish it at all, and ate it for 2 whole meals. Though the quantity was excellent. Regarding the quality of the food, it was just okay. As seen in the picture, the teriyaki was burnt, so I have to take points off for that. I felt as though the noodles and rice were a bit unflavored. Orange chicken was pretty good though. The staff there are sooo welcoming and friendly though, such sweet people!! Overall, I feel like its worth checking out, and the quantity is sooo worth the price.

Went to find a take out place nearby and came across Miki Chan's on Yelp. It's located in the same plaza as the Best Buy and Albertsons. The parking is easy, as it shares the extra large lot with other businesses. Miki's is near the corner of the plaza. It's a small place with the name above the front. The inside feels very familiar to other Chinese takeout spots with the food displayed in front. The menu has picture displays of the items as well as in list format. The staff that helped me was named Jenny and her energy alone was FANTASTIC. She was so welcoming and engaging...if anything else go to see her if you're in the mood for decent Chinese take out and an energy boost as she's full of life! But onto the food, typical Chinese takeout with broccoli beef, orange chicken, etc. I got a 2-plate combo with all fried rice (you can do half rice and have chow mein) with broccoli beef and orange chicken. The portions are GENEROUS and you'll definitely be full or stuffed with how much she packed in the container. I would say you could even split it between two people or split it into multiple meals. Overall I will definitely be going back, and just how elevated Jenny made my experience.

I came to the shopping center to get my nails done and wanted a quick snack before I left. I just got one egg roll but it was super good. The lady that works there was very friendly and energetic.

Well served, but was just Ok - BBQ pork, teriyaki chicken, Hawaiian noodles and chicken egg roll

So we saw a review done by "Grub with Greg", a guy we follow on Instagram. Usually, the foods he reviews look amazing - which was the case with Miki Chan's. Well, we were kinda disappointed from the moment we walked in. The place was kinda dingy looking, crates stacked at the entrance, and chairs lined up to keep you away from the glass case where the foods were. Some of the foods that were recommended by Grub with Greg didn't look very fresh - like they had been sitting for a little while. We ended up getting a two item meal with the Hawaiian noodles with pork, the BBQ pork and teriyaki chicken. I also got a side of orange chicken and a chicken eggroll -- our food came to 18 dollars and change. The noodles were just ok, the BBQ pork was disappointing since it really looked good, but it was so dry, the teriyaki chicken was tasty and not dry, and the orange chicken was just ok. The chicken egg roll was just ok - I didn't really notice chicken - it did had a strong ginger flavor though. We picked up our food around 7pm - possibly if you get there earlier, the food might be a little fresher. It seems that people like this place, so I guess we just caught them at an off time. The lady behind the counter was very nice! I really wanted this food to be amazing because she was so sweet! Kinda bummed it was such a disappointment!

Quick, friendly service, and generous portions. A few small areas to sit inside with outdoor seating available. Indoors can be hot since the ac is not on.

I'm not sure what the complaints with all the recent posts are...you get what you pay for and in this case Miki Chan's Chinese/Asian fast food is pretty darn cheap. I had my hesitance coming here but decided to give it a try while we were recycling cans. For a 2-entree plate LOADED with chow mein and fried rice and a chicken teriyaki bowl, the total was $18 flat. That's incredibly cheap. The food was decent too, what you expect Chinese fast food to taste like. They also have slushies for $3.60, which is also very reasonable considering Jamba Juice is selling a smaller size for $7-8. The lady servicing the food was so adorable and friendly, and told us that they've been in business for 40-45 years now. Not sure how they're able to do that with such low prices, but I'm glad they're still around! No dine in, only take out. Come try it when you're feeling too lazy to cook and too poor to splurge.

The tonkatsu was some of the best we've ever had--perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Kagura is known for its specialty tonkatsu, and it shows in every bite. The portions were generous and came with all the sides needed for a complete meal. We left completely satisfied and felt the quality was well worth the price. The service was excellent from start to finish--friendly, attentive, and efficient without making us feel rushed. Finding a restaurant that excels in both food and service can be rare, but Kagura delivered on both. If you're a tonkatsu fan, this is a place you shouldn't miss. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Los Angeles!

We were a party of two and were given a choice of a table for two or a more comfy booth. Since my guest was my mom, comfy booth. She had the Don (bento) with fried pork wet on top of rice, with eggy soy sauce. ..I sampled it ... It was great 5/5. I had the chicken was crispy 5/5 not gready...chicken was tender yet crunchy panko breaking... with curry.. the curry had a slight bitter note but it was fine, and thick, it was a bit goopy on the pour... and had a thin skinlike layer which was odd but it ate fine 4/5 There's a free appetizer...choice of fried oyster or fried crab cream like a large round rangoon...I can't eat seafood, bit mom enjoyed it. She gave it 5/5. We both loved the salad, the pickled carrots and two cubesof sweet potato., and the pickled Persian cucumbers. Small tiny discreet portions of each but elegantly and a great palette cleanser...the salad dressing was tart and light. 5/5 The utensils are pre-set on the table and so is the sweet tonkatsu sauce in a small carafe also preset....there's not much interaction with the bust wait staff, but it was easy to catch their eye to ask questions, get the check, or clear the dishes...I had hot cup of green tea. But no checking for more. But I'm sure icould have flagged down a waiter had I really wanted more. They deliver the food and fly off, so don't ne afraid to stop them to make your requests...they are nice about it. You can also get a pitcher of Sapporo if you drink beer and are a larger parry which I thought was nice considering Sappora usual comes by the bottle. Parking is plentiful in the back...and free. We enjoyed. Very much. Just know 1) no desserts on menu. 2) yes there's a kids menu and 3) every protein is deep fried.

We tried the strawberry Japanese soda, it tasted like strawberry Fanta but was super annoying to drink with the narrow bottle, and the unnecessary little ball it contained kept blocking when drinking. Now for the sushi quality: actually some of the worst my boyfriend and I have ever had. we're afraid we will wake up with food poisoning tomorrow. Most of the fish had this beer taste on it??? They do have a really wide selection of rolls. The other person in my group got the spider roll and truly enjoy it. However, it was disappointing that there wasn't much variety for non-fried food in the bento combinations. A good bento box should be a balanced meal, but pretty much my whole meal felt fried. Also, the place doesn't fully represent a traditional Japanese aesthetic, it feels alot more like a Korean twist on sushi. Overall, great for the wallet and good rolls, but just okay on the balance of the bento meal.
