Ambiance is pretty. I really enjoyed more so their hot dishes! Very flavorful. Miso soup, mushroom medley was really good! Dragon roll also very good! We also got half dozen oysters which I forgot to take a pic of, also loved. I thought the sashimi was just okay. More in line when I go to an AYCE place than à la carte honestly. I would probably order separately than getting one of the boxes. There is nice additions like small pieces of yummy fruit that come with but I'm not sure if that's what is increasing the price point. For the pricing, I would've expected quality closer to Hachi or Omakase Kyara. We spent about $175 for 2 people for everything. Service was great!

Had heard so much about this place I had to come in and try it Had a reservation but place was pretty empty when we got there. We were greeted immediately and told to pick a table. We chose one close to the sushi bar so we could watch the chef work. We reviewed the menu and picked a few items. My wife went more Al a carte while I chose the premium sashimi platter I started with miso soup, and the presentation is really cool, comes in a little egg bowl. My wife got several pieces of sashimi, including the golden eye special, wagyu and yellowtail. We split the king crab roll. The premium sashimi platter is 6 different fish, 3 pieces each. It was all very good and included some fatty tuna. The crab roll was amazing, may be one of the best things I've ever eaten. So soft and delicious The uni toast was to die for. Just incredible Wife loved all her sashimi, everything is prepared perfectly and looks like art. For dessert I got the viral strawberry shortcake and the mochi dessert. Ice cream on an Oreo covered in a mochi blanket! Both were delicious Have a limited bar menu, wife got the wagyu old fashioned and I got a saki Only negative was service at the end. Was great until dessert. I asked about a drink recommendation and was told they don't have coffee. Asked for a drink that would go with dessert and was told she didn't know cause she doesn't drink. Was just a really weird experience. Overall a great experience

Yelp Review 2026 #172: Our favorite sushi restaurant in Chinatown never re-opened. So, we've been on a quest to find a replacement. We were in the Southwest area and in the mood for sushi so, we went to Doanburi. Uni Toast: 2 pieces, housemade brioche, crème fraiche, chives. So creamy without tasting briny. 5/5 Salmon Crispy Rice: 6 pc, sweet soy glazed, spicy aioli, garlic chips. You can get other crispy rice variations: avocado or tuna. The rice seemed sticky. 3/5 Jewelry Box: Chef's choice of sushi so, what kinds of sushi you get is always a surprise. For mine, I got nigiri: ama ebi, salmon, otoro, scallop, yellowtail; tuna roll; castella cake; wakamomo. The common issue was the rice - it was falling apart. 3/5 Japanese Wagyu Nigiri: It's not the most tender wagyu I've had, honestly. I didn't get the fatty mouthfeel and flavor. 3/5 Surf and Turf Roll: Lobster tempura, asparagus, wagyu on top, and chimichurri aioli. It has a nice smoky flavor. The lobster was a nice touch. 5/5 Nigiri: Salmon Belly, Otoro, Hamachi. The fish they have are imported from Japan. The quality is pretty good. But again, the rice was falling apart. 3.5/5 Matcha Mochi Ice Cream: Homemade mochi ice cream. The mochi is freshly made and so, it's soft and nicely chewy and serves as a blanket for the matcha ice cream that's drizzled with soy sauce caramel as it sits on red bean paste and a cookie. This was the highlight of the meal and I'm glad I didn't skip dessert. The best mochi ice cream I've had so far. 5/5 It's a neighborhood sushi spot but with Strip pricing mainly because of where they get their fish from. Everything is made in house: soy sauce, mochi, etc. Service was friendly and very attentive. The interior is open and relaxed.

The setting and atmosphere at Doanbui are absolutely gorgeous--the ambience is definitely 5 stars. The staff was also attentive and welcoming, which had me looking forward to an amazing meal. Unfortunately, the food was just okay and nothing particularly stood out to me, especially considering the price. I also feel the menu could offer more variety. If you're dining with friends or family where some people may not eat fish or have seafood allergies, there aren't as many options as I would expect from a restaurant this popular. I always want to see local restaurants do well and support our local businesses, but I think this place could use some improvement in the food, add a few more protein for those with allergies and overall value. The beautiful atmosphere and attentive staff are definitely a great foundation.

Thanks Natalie for the great service for dinner. Everything was deliciously seasoned and prepared. Enjoyed the high quality ingredients. Highly recommend everything we tried tonight.

I have little words for such a gem. The food was art. Flavors were straightforward but quality. Slightly pricey, but worth every penny. The photos speak for themselves. Favorite restaurant of the year so far.

This spot blew me away. The food, the vibe, the service....chef's kiss. Sure, it's a little pricey, but trust me, you'll forget all about that once the plates start landing on your table. Now let's talk about the Brussels sprouts. OH. MY. GOD.... Mouthgasm!. I have never been so excited about vegetables in my life. We ordered two rounds and I was this close to ordering a third. Whatever they put in those things is basically culinary crack. Everything was fresh, beautifully plated, and genuinely delicious. Our server was on point the entire night, and there wasn't a single dish we didn't love. Overall, an incredible experience. I'll be back the next time I'm in Vegas without hesitation. Drooling just thinking about those Brussels sprouts

Such fresh fish and fantastic execution on the food! The treasure box was amazing. All the cuts felt like they just came out of the ocean. The raw shrimp, toro, bits of pickled daikon, small flowers, iruka, tamago pieces, perfectly prepared sushi rice all coming together in delicious spoonfuls. We inhaled that lickety split. The scallop roll was so balanced from the butteriness of the avocado to the ratio of rice on the roll and the yummy scallops. The seabass butter lettuce cups were a great starter. You can feel all the textures and delicious seabass. I would love to come back to try more appetizers and rolls, while getting another treasure box. The wait for food was longer than we typically expect during non peak meal hours but the food was well worth the wait. For reference, we arrived at 3:45 pm on a Friday and our treasure box didn't arrive until 25 minutes after we ordered. We did the get the appetizer before that. We also finished inhaling the treasure box before our roll came. It's a fancy feel in the restaurant so I can understand relaxed dining pace. Service was great. I love hearing recommendations and our server was very attentive and courteous. I highly recommend you dine here, it's pricey and well worth the time and travel in my opinion.

We stopped here for a quick bite of sushi on the way home from the airport, and what a great find! This place was definitely happening on a Friday night. The service was fantastic, and the quality of the fish, along with the beautiful presentation, was equally impressive. They're definitely doing it right here. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented. One of the better sushi experiences we've had in a while. We'll absolutely be back!

Oreo cookies n creme ice cream with caramel and toffee bits under a mochi blanket
    Julia C.

As first timers, my husband and I walked into this fancy upscale restaurant without reservations and were able to be seated at a table instead of the bar. Sai thoroughly explained the menu to us. We ordered gyoza, sea bass lettuce wraps, cucumber salad, crispy rice salmon, rainbow and golden dragon rolls. Everything tasted immaculate. The house made mochi ice cream desserts in matcha and cookies n creme was probably the best dessert I've ever had.

Foie gras with oysters Oyster Foie
    Ashley M.

Very unique decadent chirashi that did look like a jewel box. Good quality fish. Appetizers included foie gras oysters and uni toast which were delicate and full of flavor. Was there still during soft opening phase so curious what cocktails or drinks they have. Attentive service although a tad slow.

Treasury Box Sushi (limited to 10 orders daily)
    Neilson L.

So....uh..... this is the best sushi I've ever had. Normally I'd write a longer review but simply but this sushi is really, really amazing. Every piece of sushi I had put in my mouth tasted like it was carefully prepared, particularly the quality of the ingredients. Each piece of fish tasted like it just came out the sea, every bite of rice had the perfect resistance and amount of vinegar. If you normally go to places like Sapporo sushi or ayce sushi you end up thinking paying anything more than $30-40 a person is enough and sushi doesn't get much better than that. You would think $80 is kind of steep if you're used to regular sushi spots in vegas, but if you want a delicious experience that can make you breathless for a second, come to Doanburi. Well it does. Come order the treasure box and let your tongue thank you later. I'm going to be back very soon to try more of the menu and think about the prices later.

My family made a reservation because they wanted to celebrate my birthday, so I was really looking forward to it. When it is your birthday, even a small detail feels a little more important. You want the night to feel special, smooth, and happy from the beginning. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there seemed to be a small issue with the reservation, and the table we were given was much smaller than expected. Since we were there as a family for a birthday dinner, it felt uncomfortable at first. I have to be honest -- my mood was not great in the beginning. It was one of those moments where you think, "Oh no, is this how the night is going to start?" But then the food started coming out, and Hachi completely turned the night around. The first thing that changed my mood was the beer. The draft beer was served in an unbelievably icy-cold mug. It was not just cold -- it looked and felt like it had come straight out of a freezer. The foam was smooth, the beer was crisp, and the first sip was so refreshing that I almost forgot I had been upset a few minutes earlier. That beer alone deserves applause. Sometimes a perfect cold beer can fix a whole mood, and this one absolutely did. The biggest highlight of the night was the tuna toro. It was incredible. The texture was so soft and delicate that it almost felt like cotton candy melting in my mouth. Rich, buttery, fresh, and so smooth. It was the kind of bite that makes everyone at the table stop talking for a second. We loved it so much that we ordered it three times. Ordering the same dish three times says everything. It was not a maybe. It was not a "let's think about it." It was a clear yes every time. The skewers were also very good. The grilled meats had a nice smoky flavor, and they were seasoned well without being too salty. They paired perfectly with the icy beer. But the shrimp skewer was especially memorable. The shrimp had that perfect bouncy, juicy texture. It was grilled nicely, still tender, and full of natural sweetness. Some grilled shrimp can become dry or forgettable, but this one had personality. Small skewer, big impact. We also enjoyed several other izakaya-style dishes. The grilled shishito peppers with bonito flakes were simple but delicious, and they helped balance out the richer dishes. The grilled squid had a great smoky flavor and a chewy texture that went so well with beer. These are exactly the kinds of dishes that make izakaya dining so fun -- one bite, one sip, one more bite, and suddenly the table is full of happy people. The sashimi platter was fresh and beautifully served over ice. There was a nice variety, including tuna, salmon, white fish, scallop, and ikura. Everything looked clean and fresh, and the presentation made it feel even more enjoyable. But honestly, the toro was the star. I will probably remember that toro for a long time. My daughter ordered tonkatsu, and that was also a huge hit. Sometimes at restaurants like this, kids' dishes can feel like an afterthought, but this tonkatsu was really good. It was crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. Seeing my daughter enjoy her food made my birthday dinner even better. As a mom, when your child eats well and is happy, the whole meal suddenly feels more peaceful. That is just the truth. Overall, Hachi started with a little frustration because of the reservation issue and the small table, but the food and drinks completely saved the night. The icy-cold beer, the amazing tuna toro, the juicy shrimp skewer, and the tonkatsu were all memorable. The food was strong enough to make us forget the rough beginning, and by the end of the meal, we were all happy. Las Vegas has so many flashy restaurants, but Hachi has that casual, comfortable izakaya charm. It is the kind of place where you order many small dishes, share with the table, drink something cold, and let the night slowly become fun. I would definitely come back next time I am in Las Vegas. Next time, I already know what I am ordering first: an icy-cold beer and tuna toro. And honestly, I may order the toro twice from the beginning, because one order is definitely not enough.
