First timer nose piercing here, survived and now thriving! Erik did my piercing and he was very professional--down to the whole white coat attire, and so swift with his technique. I only felt a quick pinch and boom! It's been about a week since I received my beautiful piercing and there have been no complications. The aftercare was easy to comprehend with written and a condensed verbal explanation of what I had to do once I got home. They send you home with a little brown bag of sea salt soak and instructions, which is very nice. I appreciate the written instructions because I honestly was so happy from my piercing that I didn't even remember anything Erik told me...well, except don't touch your piercing with your hands because they're super dirty. The booking online was easy to navigate through their website. Erik seems to do all of the weekend piercings--at least for now, so that's who I ended up with. The two ladies who were working the front were both very kind, warm, and welcoming. I felt so supported and welcome throughout my entire experience. PLEASE wear your mask, and all of the professionals working here do a good job of telling you where to walk, when to take your mask off, all to keep a safe process to maintain high safety precautions. Parking is the only thing that's a bit of a sucker, but I was lucky to grab one of the few front parking spots since they share it with a restaurant and a tattoo shop--but there's parking in the back. The whole process took about 20 minutes, which was wonderful too. There weren't too many options for a tiny bezel jewel for my piercing, but I do like the color options. I chose a warm gold color, which I'm looking forward to switching out once the healing process is complete. I was surprised that nose piercings take 6-8mos to heal! Also, the jewelry itself costs $50...and that was the bezel jewel with titanium. It's perfect because I'm nickel-sensitive, so I was glad they had titanium. 10/10 experience and would highly recommend getting pierced here. The only other time I've gotten pierced was for my ears back in the day when everyone in middle and high school would go to the Claire's at the local mall...this was truly a far better and classier experience. read more

I've now had three pieces of broken jewelry. Lost the entire piercing and the hole closed up for one of the three (caught the other two AND found the broken jewelry for two). What makes the pain of having this happen is being chastised by one of the front of house employees, especially when what I said before that was "I need to take this piercing off, it hurts so much." She said it rudely enough that the person who was ACTUALLY helping me apologized. When I thanked the person helping me for noticing, she said "I know exactly when you were talking about." Then proceeded to tell the other person. They then had a conversation about me in the front of the store and I could hear from the benches! This is what I deserve, says the person who was rude to me, because they provide excellent customer service and their manager said so. They said they'd pull the camera to prove it! Being that I've been there several times, have numerous piercings from there and have spent much of my money on their jewelry, AND I'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANYONE ELSE, please pull the camera footage. Please ask your manager to pull the camera from 3:36 pm, where you can see she gestures to me and talks to the person working the register. Please check when she has a conversation with the person helping me next the register around 4:10pm and gestures to the sign (more than once) while she justifies why she was rude to me. And then watch how *I* am the one who addresses the situation. Not your person with the "excellent" customer service skills. No one even told me how to get my broken jewelry back. read more

If I could give more stars, I would! The entire experience was excellent this evening. We wanted to get an additional ear piercing, and this place was recommended. We made appointments 4 weeks in advance online, super easy and convenient. The parking lot is tiny and is shared by a few businesses so come a few minutes ahead. I parked down the street and walked over. I stood outside and until they opened the door. They took my temp, checked ID, and had me fill out a waiver. Everyone wore masks, the place was spotless, and the employees were super friendly and helpful. They have a great assortment of earrings- with lots of color stone stud options. I opted for a solid gold lightning bolt, and was ready to meet my piercer. Annie is the real gem here! She was so kind and personable, my piercing jitters quickly went away. Not only was she hilarious- she is also a miracle worker/magician. I have 3 piercings that are perfectly spaced on my other ear. However, this ear had two piercings that were waaay farther apart. I told her I realized that my third one would be uneven due to the difference in my first two on this ear. She reassured me that she could make it even on this ear and symmetric so both ears would match. I laughed and figured no way! Guess what? She was right?!?! She somehow managed to work her magic and make my third hole look perfectly spaced out and matched my other ear. Not sure how she was able to do it, but I was so happy she did! Recently had services provided by Pierced Out, my conchs to be exact. Annie was the piercer. First off everyone that I interacted with was very nice and accommodating as well as knowledgeable. The price was very reasonable for the high quality of service provided. Here is where for me Pierced Out should get 10 stars. I had some swelling on one of my piercings and went back. They provided a few solutions and excellent information. I came back the next day and the day after that and the day after that. I began to feel like a nuisance coming back so much and asking questions and asking for help with the piercings but every time they have been more than helpful and so warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this place and I don't think you can go wrong with whoever piercers you. One thing I would suggest is to do your homework about where you're getting pierced on your body. I have read some of the negative reviews and it seems that people are upset with the way their body reacts to the piercings. That's not the piercers fault and shouldn't be taken out on them. Come in with a good attitude and I know for sure you'll be treated well. read more

I don't even know where to start. I never write bad reviews but this place is terrible and I honestly feel the urge to warn people against coming here. I got my nostril pierced here a few years back by Annie and it never healed... I eventually returned after a ton of effort to heal the piercing because I wanted to swap my stud for a hoop. I developed an irritation bump that would NOT go away. I ended up going to a different studio for jewelry and they informed me that Pierced Out chose the WRONG gauge for my hoop, effectively making it so that it'd never heal. They were either out of the correct size and opted not to tell me out of greed (prioritizing making a sale), or they used the wrong size due to incompetence or carelessness. Regardless, I made an incredibly stupid decision a while later when I decided I wanted my other nostril pierced. I returned to Pierced Out because they accept walk-ins and it's close to home. It was already a bad sign when I walked in and the girl who was getting pierced before me literally fainted. Annie blamed it on the poor girl, of course... I have been to several piercing studios and I have NEVER seen that happen before. Once it was my turn, I'm telling her I want my other nostril pierced and that the one that's already pierced has never healed. She tells me that it's because it was pierced at the WRONG ANGLE (by HER) and that she'll re-pierce it for me... I actually let her re-pierce it (so stupid of me, but I was impatient and just wanted it done). Long story short, I had to remove it and I've had a very visible scar there ever since. ALSO the jewelry they helped me pick out for my double nostril piercings was WAY too big and looked ridiculous. I spent hundreds of dollars just to have jewelry that looked awful and *had to be removed* because she's a terrible piercer that lacks skill and technique. like, oh my god???? Annie isn't a kind person and she's literally not good at what she does. I feel so passionately about this because there are other studios in the Bay Area that are a MILLION times better with artists who are more skilled, professional, and knowledgable. I wish I knew all of this before I ever stepped foot inside this place. read more

$125 for a Monroe that's my first complaint. I called asked if they can re-pierce my Munro that fell out eight weeks prior. The lady who answered the phone stated that they take walk-ins up until five. Yes, it was 4:45 However I was parked right outside when I called. When I got in the front people were very rude. The lady told me that I needed to pay $30 for a consult fee then when I said I would pay the $30 she made a comment to the other receptionist that I was rich I immediately had to correct her and tell her I'm not rich I just got paid and I wanna get my Monroe re done. The lady that pierced me was absolutely amazing and nice. However, I felt like I was being taken advantage of and if they didn't want to do the piercing because it was too late, they should've said no. I would've gladly came in the next day. Pierced Out and Erik are the gold standard of piercing. If you have the option, I would not go anywhere else! Pierced Out has always been my go-to, but I recently moved out of the area, so I made the mistake of letting someone else pierce my daith. See the "before" photo on the left. I was immediately concerned it was too shallow, but the studio told me it was fine. Still, I was uneasy. I emailed Erik -- who *invented* the daith -- with a video of the placement. He confirmed that it was incorrect, so I took it out. Today, I had my daith redone by Erik, who took the time to explain the placement and custom-bent a D-ring to fit my anatomy. I fell in love as soon as I saw it in the mirror, and I am so glad I got it repierced despite the additional cost. Thank you, Erik, for your amazing services as always! (On this visit, one of the front desk girls -- I don't know her name, but she had dark curly hair -- was a little rude. Nice place and nice people, they take walk-ins and I got an industrial ear piercing. As for cost, the general cost is around $110, and extra depending on if you want different jewelry. My only regret was upgrading the jewelry piece, went from $110 to $190 for the small orange gems at the end of the piercing. This is my own fault as I shouldn't have gotten the gems since they can't be seen unless someone is inches away from your ear read more

My daughter(16) has saved her money to get a piercing in her ear. It's been a week and a half and It got really infected late last night. We had to remove the earring because of the pain and swelling. She called Pierced Out this morning to let them know what happened and if they could look at it or let it heal a bit and get it redone. They said, sorry there is nothing we can do. You will have to pay full price to get it redone and it's probably already closed in the few hours it's been out. My daughter was so upset. i was able to be taken in last minute today due to a lil emergency on my fresh piercing i had gotten in portland 2 weeks beforehand. just one hour after my flight back today, i had heard a "crunch" near my forward helix. i instantly thought the backing fell out and immediately needed to find a spot to take a look at it and see if it was salvageable. lo and belold, this shop was able to take me in so soon! i called beforehand to make sure they had the jewelry i needed and what the estimated cost would be to install. $35 including the backing i was gonna get. very transparent. erik was the piercer that helped me and he was super informative on what had happened to me: due to the change of pressure / elevation, my ear had become swollen and the backing had pulled in towards in my ear (- yikes). luckily erik was able to take it out with no issue and replaced it with a longer bar so my ear can heal with the trauma it had gone thru in such short notice. ear wasnt infected, i was glad to hear the piercer in portland did no wrong! keep in mind that there is an installment fee with every piece of jewelry you get here. parking is nonexistent here. there's probably 3-4 parking spots in front (theres a tattoo shop and a food shop neighboring the piercing shop) read more
