Heard so much hype about this place..... Well as they say "Don't believe the hype ".... Simple decor nothing fancy... According to my wife they make a decent expresso martini, but that is where it ends. My wife had the pork chop with hot peppers , mushrooms and onions, they put so much on the chop I guess to hide the Dryness of the chop from the customer. There wasn't even any "juice" to even help.... it was just bad. I had the veal parmigiana, and I thought you couldn't mess that up , but I was wrong..you can! Such a shame... I've been to this restaurant both while it was located in Port Chester and now in Harrison on Halstead Avenue. I highly recommend it. Your are made welcome being greeted by an owner when you walk in and the staff is very professional. On popular evenings the place is packed. When busy or moderate the operation continues to move smoothly. All the entrees I have eaten their as well as my guests have been on the money. I always have either Zuppa di pesce or chicken scarpariello. Both always are chooked perfectly and never over spiced. Last time I had a canolli for desert because they ran out of tiramisu. They make an awesome tiramisu. On your way out you are asked by the owner how your meal was and your dining experience. This is a must try if you enjoy Italian food read more

First time at their new location, and I was happy that Piero's hasn't lost their fast ball. If anything, the food was even more consistent. The space is nice (though still a bit cramped), but the wait staff was attentive and friendly, and the food remains outstanding. The mussels make my eyes roll back in my head in pleasure, as does the rigatoni a la vodka. I had the chicken special (in brown sauce, sausage, and cherry peppers), which was incredibly flavorful, and my friend's veal saltibocca was delicious. I love this place!! read more

The old place was much nicer even if smaller. They crammed too many tables in the waiters can't even get by. Forget talking to anyone at the table, you have to yell. The sound level in this place is ear splitting. However the food is solid, just like the old place. Just good ole Italian!. Nothing fancy. Good quality. The specials are all we order. Fruiti de mare was excellent. Tons of mussels, clams, calimari. Just put up something to kill the noise!!! read more

As I sit to write a review for Piero's right after my baby shower I'm receiving texts from my many guests complimenting me about the food and what a great place it was. Peter and André couldn't have done a better job. They even gave me an extra hour to open my gifts. You guys have exceeded my expectation in so many ways. Haven't been here in a few years but so glad we returned as the food is still delicious and prepared in such a way you can say "that was a great dish." I can honestly say Piero's is one of the best Italian restaurants around. Wait staff is friendly and most have been with the restaurant for many years. Old location much better, took 30 minutes to put in order, took 50 minutes for entrees (simple pasta), took 25 minutes to get the check. No one ever asked us if we wanted dessert or coffee--it was fine I would have fallen asleep in my dessert! All the tables around me were having the same experience, what's going on?? Went back a month later, really no better and food has gone downhill. Also, management appears to be less accommodating, almost to the point of rude! Since, we couldn't be accommodated with a table we tried to do take-out and they said they weren't taking take-out orders. A few days later we were finally able to pu a take out order. When we got the order home the order was all messed up and entrees missing. Can't say we didn't try, too bad we have been disappointed on many occasions. read more

Granted, this new location just opened and there are a few kinks that the ownership is busy ironing out. The food is EXCELLENT! I had the salmon Marachiara and it was the most amazing combination of delicious salmon with a delicious seafood sauce. Both complemented each other, in a virtually perfect balance. House Red wine is very good, the wait staff is a little pressed but Pete the owner is right there lending a hand and willing to help. It says a lot about the long and solid following that Pieros has earned over the years, that they can open in a totally different town after 26 years in Port Chester and basically be packed right from day one. Here's to many years of serving excellent food in this new, and in my opinion superior, location! read more

I've always heard great things about Pierros so I decided to pay a visit. Overall experience was decent but I was somewhat underwhelmed. Hot antipasto platter was small but tasty. Bread was nice but would have been better warm. My meat ravioli in marinara sauce wad ok. Marinara sauce was very good. Homemade tiaramisu was one of the best I've ever had. Fantastic restaurant. I have been eating here for over a decade, and the food has been consistently amazing. The service is friendly and entertaining (They'll remember you and treat you like a regular after meeting you once). Their menu is comprehensive, and well formulated. Everything is cooked to perfection. Our favorite dishes are the Chicken Ptarmigan, Chicken a la Piero, and the Shrimp Scampi. Most entrees come with a side of vegetable or pasta, which is cooked to al dente perfection. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. It is exquisite. read more

Drove up from Bridgeport,CT for lunch on Friday with my father.It was our first time at the Harrison location after eating at the Portchester location for years.Piero,s is better than ever.My father had salmon livornese with olives,capers light tomato sauce.Gigantic portion.Came with a side of broccoli with garlic and oil.He said it was delicious.I had linguine with red clam sauce.Big portion,fresh clams.Mouth watering.Finished off great lunch with a couple of espresso,s with Sambuca.Andre was terrific.Best Italian food in Westchester. read more

The original Piero's location was a classic "hole in the wall" -- but renowned among connoisseurs from two states. The new location in Harrison is now the best of all worlds -- same great food and knowledgeable/attentive staff, plus a warmer and more spacious room.
