I bought a 2020 Bolt EV Premier from Galen McKay at Bill Pierre Chevrolet. Galen made the buying experience smooth. I live in Hawaii and none of the dealers in Hawaii had the exact Bolt EV that I wanted in the color that I wanted. I researched Chevrolet dealers for Volts and Bolt EVs across the US. I looked at more than 20 different dealers in Hawaii and all the way to New York state. I was lucky to get Galen as my salesperson. He was upfront with all the pricing and incentives. He followed up with me on all the paperwork, wire transfer, and dropoff at the Seattle port. He wasn't pushy and was always ready to answer a question and get me what I needed (even on his day off) to get the car to Hawaii and get the car registered in Hawaii, which is complicated. He even did the delivery and car setup over the phone today and helped me set up the bluetooth connection. The whole buying experience was top-notch. I had made an appointment to view a very expensive car. When I arrived the car was filthy inside and out. There was garbage inside the car including a paper cup half filled with old coffee in the cup holder. When we test drove the car, they left the old coffee in the car. When it came time to make an offer, instead of negotiating, they offered me $15 off. Seriously, $15 off a $35,000 used car. I went to Harris Ford instead and dealt for hours with a pleasant salesman who had no problems negotiating a price. read more

We liked our Sales Consultant who kept in contact with me by email for a week. He was never pushy, was straightforward and understanding. We give him 5-star for being an eager but non-pushy, pleasant car sales person. We also liked the staff who took notes of our car which we wanted to trade in. Such a shame when Sales Consultants work so hard but someone else destroys the whole experience at the end. We drove from Tacoma to take a look at a pre-owned car. Our Sales Consultant was very nice and friendly. We asked if they could do an appraisal on our car while we were out for test drive and he agreed to get that done. The car we looked at turned out to have been in a collision of some sort - Confirmed on CARFAX. On one side of the car, the head light was missing a piece - not big, but it wasn't small enough to ignore it, either. The hood was shut uneven, the paint job done to cover the damage was very poorly done etc, and more. And we visited 6 car dealerships in 2 weeks and this is the only place that did not have a paint meter. We told the Sales Consultant straightforward we could not take the car. He told us we could at least get the appraisal on our car, so my husband followed him to the office while I waited outside. The person who was supposedly doing the appraisal, possibly the duty manager, told my husband "You are not buying a car from us, so you don't need that. You can do it on your own." - Pure rudeness. The second he found out we weren't buying the car, he became very passive aggressive. And that made the Sales Consultant look really bad since he was the one who offered to get the figure regardless. And nah, we didn't do it on our own, we actually walked into another dealership 30 minutes later and had it done right there, right then, they were "happy" to do it, and took them 5 minutes. We had already had our financial arrangement made and was ready to buy a car, but we didn't "NEED" one. We "WANTED" one. So, yes, we walked away from that particular car but you could have easily recommended something else of the same price range, or took notes of our preference for future sales. There was no need for rudeness. We weren't buying an iPhone, but a car. Apple store would take care of you better regardless of whether you are actually buying an iPhone 7, or are simply wanting to take a look at one. They won't tell you, "You are not buying this damaged pre-owned iPhone 7 from us today, so we won't tell you how much your iPhone 6 is worth." Again, the Sales Consultants were good but that one rude person at the end destroyed it all. read more

needed a new pickup because I am a general contractor and my old one (a 1995 Ford F-150) isn't as reliable as I need it to be, or capable for that matter. So I phoned around local Ford dealerships and ended up spending close to a hundred in gas going to all of them. Yeah, I don't have the BEST credit in the world, but I've certainly seen people with worse scores than me get new cars. I was pretty frustrated having spent all that time and getting nothing out of it. A couple days ago I heard that silly commercial jingle with the bouncing car and the "we'll finance everyone!" mantra that I could've heard from a dozen other dealerships and financiers. About to give up and accept the fact that I would eventually have to compromise, I gave Pierre Money Mart a call to see what they could offer. After talking with Pierre Money Mart for about half an hour on the phone, they told me I could come down and see what they could get me in. So I drove down to Pierre Money Mart (only a half hour from where I live) to see what they had. All I could say at that point is wow! They showed me a 2008 F-150 with only 14,700 on it, which I liked, and I was pretty surprised that they could actually get me in something like that. Long story short, they sent me back home but not because I was declined. They said they needed me to get earnings statements for my self-employed contracting business, phone bills, and a whole lot of other stuff but I suppose it's because they'll do everything they can to live up to their guarantees. All in all, I have to say I'm very surprised to have had such a hassle-free experience with Pierre Money Mart and Bill Pierre Ford, and they'll definitely see me again. read more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I want to start by saying I DO NOT regularly write reviews, but my experience was so bad that I went out of my comfort zone and created a Yelp account just to let everyone know how bad they are. The car that I was 100% interested in was the 2013 Chevy Malibu Eco. It had low miles at a great price. (Kudo's in that aspect). I did my research before I went, so I knew exactly what I wanted and exactly what was offered. (AKA- I'm an easy sell) So I go to the dealership and was approached by a salesman. I tell him what vehicle I wanted. He goes and gets the keys but couldn't find the vehicle. He goes back inside and gets keys to another vehicle so we can drive around and look for the initial vehicle that I wanted. He could'nt find THAT car so he goes back inside and grabs another set of keys to a different car. (A pain but he seemed nervous so I just laughed it off) We drive around their lots and finally find the Chevy Malibu. We get into the vehicle and get ready for the test drive when I noticed the Low Fuel light was on. The car shows that it was PAST "E" so I informed the salesman and he responds with "It's an Eco, we'll have no problems". I honestly thought he was joking, so I respond "Are you sure?" And he nods his head yes...so we start the test drive and maybe 3 to 4 minutes in we run out of gas in the middle of a busy street. I was livid at this point because he gets out of the vehicle and runs to a gas station leaving me in the vehicle. It took him about 10minutes to come back but at this point we caused a traffic jam and I was honked at about 10 to 15 times while waiting... (Fast Forward) We get back to the dealership where we were met by the sales manager. We do the whole negotiation thing and we ALMOST come to an agreement. I leave to think about the deal overnight. (Next day) I come back after the hawks game (GO HAWKS) and we come to an agreement. I go into finance to sign paperwork etc. the finance guy was a straight a-hole. He tried to rush me thru the paperwork. And when I asked about the APR (which was at a GREAT rate in my opinion at 2.6 percent), he got visibly annoyed when I asked about my own credit union that I would liked to go thru since they said they would match or beat the APR I was offered. He kept asking me "Why" as if I couldn't weigh my options on the credit union I preferred... And then he says "since you don't want to go with this credit union then there's no deal right?"... I respond, "I just want to talk to my credit union just to see if they'll match or beat it"... He then says "Alright, no deal" and proceeds to rip the paperwork I signed and puts on his jacket and says "well let's go home" and shakes my hand!!!!! I was sooooo confused. I was ready to buy but Captain McA-hole in finance cops an attitude and now deal is off! read more

Due to a glitch in some insurance paperwork for my totaled car, I needed to get some documents from the dealer I bought my car from. This is where I started having trouble. I have contacted Bill Pierre Chevrolet at least five times since May 14th asking for the copy of the check they paid to the lender and a copy of the service contract. The person I have tried to work with has given numerous excuses, promises, and timelines, but has not yet provided the documents I need, and when I spoke with the manager he just referred me back to the original employee. I am running out of time to submit the documents to the Gap inurance provider so they can re-assess the claim and hopefully pay the remainder of the outstanding balance of my loan. Overall, I have found the staff at Bill Pierre Chevrolet lacking in basic customer service, which may soon cost me over $1000. read more

As I walked out I told them that if you're willing to lose a customer over $100 and on a car you keep saying "it's gotta go anyways" and you won't budge then you're wasting my time. After we had left they text me saying that they will take the $100 off... I said please don't text me. Then shortly after they call me. The manager this time was the one to call and say im sorry it was a "miscommunication" uhhhhh no it's not! You want me to lower myself to come back. He said I'll give $200 off for all the "trouble". I explained to him that even if you offered me my original asking price I would never come back. They completely disrespected me. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! Pierre Chevrolet Lakecity, WA hit me with a car on the sidewalk when I rode by on my bike and refused to pay a dime. Their driver even lied to the cop and thought with my head injury I wouldn't overhear. The manager refused to give me their insurance name or policy number and none of them will return emails or phone calls. They broadsided me and I landed head first on Lakecity with no helmet. I'm lucky I'm healthy a hard head but still got head trauma, bruised sternum and many other scrapes and scratches. At another time of day another car would have run over my head where I landed. I jumped up before one could. My bike's front wheel was smashed in, handlebars knocked completely off and who knows what else since it's totaled anyways. Their manager actually said on the phone, " Well what do you want? Our car was damaged too..." before not giving me the insurance info. read more

Bill Pierre Chevrolet employs the most dishonest people I've ever encountered. My wife and I drove from Idaho to purchase a 2007 Honda Element we saw on Cars.com on April 22, 2013. I called the dealership to make sure it was still available and was quoted by the salesman, Abdallah, that the price was $13, 800. When we arrived at the Bill Pierre Chevrolet, the price jumped to $14,500 (the first of many lies and deceptions) and the vehicle was nowhere in sight. We were told that it was just received as a trade-in (another lie...Carfax says they received the vehicle almost 3 weeks before we came to look at it) and still needed to be looked over by their mechanic and detailed. Okay fine, so we zip over to the mechanics lot to give the car a visual inspection. The car is very dirty and crammed between 2 other cars and we aren't able to fully inspect the vehicle or even start it. Abdallah says if we like the vehicle, we can START the paperwork contingent on the test drive/full inspection by us. Soooo, being naïve and excited about our potential new car, we say okay, we'll do that. He tells us that the car will be available to us that evening, 10am the following morning at the latest, so we start the paperwork. We are handed off to a short bald man who is the "finance guy". I despise this man. He tacks on $3000 in warranties/fees to the purchase price. I told him repeatedly that I wanted no warranties added to the financing, which he fought me over. I finally get him to remove the warranties and notice that he's left on something called "Theftgard" which he tells me we need to have. I tell him to take that off too. He gets an attitude and a pouty face and finally removes all but $99 of this "protection". In doing this, he jacks up our interest rate to 10%. I tell him that my wife has an 800 credit score and could easily go to the bank and get a loan with a 3-4% APR. He gets cranky and tells me that because I removed the warranties, my interest rate is going to be sky high. Lies, lies, lies!!! We should have run away from this place at this point, but instead we stupidly signed the paperwork. The vehicle is not ready by that evening, or by 10am the following morning, or noon, or 3pm. We sit at the dealership the entire following day waiting for the car, continuously being lied to about what is happening or when the car will be available to us. Everyone is ignoring us and acting like we are invisible. It was pretty uncomfortable. Finally at 3:45ish, the car appears and we take it out for the test drive. It has not been detailed as promised. Instead, the exterior has been sprayed off and the interior hasn't been cleaned at all. There is dog hair still on the rear seats and the car smells like an entire can of deodorant spray has exploded inside. We discover that the interior is faaaaarrr from the Excellent condition price we agreed on in the purchase price. It has tears/rips in the seats and headliner and several plastic pieces are broken or damaged. The exterior paint condition is also in Fair condition. There are big chips and an area all around the gas door where the paint has been scraped off. The car is in barely better than Fair condition. The final straw is that when we are thoroughly looking over the car we discover that there is oil spraying from underneath the car. We drive back to the dealership and tell them "We want our down payment and our trade in and we are leaving". They spend the next uncomfortable 2+ hours trying to get us to take the LEMON. We are both so irate at the end that we feel like screaming at them. We are even told my Abdallah that "it's a done deal. The car is yours." One of the 5 people (none of whom tell us their job title) they send to try to make us take the pile of garbage car and even tells us that if we want to leave, our only option is to take "our new car". These people are the worst. I've never encountered so many slime balls in one place. Finally, without a word, they give us our money and our trade-in back and we leave the place. The best part is that once we arrive home, I check the Carfax thoroughly and find out that the car we almost bought, VIN # 5J6YH27737L000202, has been wrecked and was used as a fleet vehicle (think 4,000+ miles a month). The KBB value was only $12,500 for one in Excellent condition, which it clearly was not. My advice to anyone thinking of purchasing a used car from Bill Pierre Chevrolet is...STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE LIARS!!! They are extremely high pressure and will lie and deceive you to make the sale. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Unfortunately, that's not an option. read more

DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU'RE READY TO PURCHASE A VEHICLE THAT DAY. THEY HOLD YOU CAPTIVE UNTIL YOU DO. My husband and I went in yesterday, not intending to buy, but just to look. Once a salesman met us in the lot, they had their hooks in. First we looked, then we test drove. Next thing we knew, we were at the bargaining table with offers being pushed in out face and a hand-drawn "X_____________" signature line. The car salesman are very clever and phrase every sentence in a way that doesn't allow "no" as an answer. They pushed a few different offers in front of us. I told them I needed more time to think a few different times. DURING NEGOTIATION, I ALSO REALIZED THEY TOOK OUR CAR KEYS TO ASSESS OUR TRADE IN. SO WE COULDN'T LEAVE UNTIL THEY GAVE US OUR KEYS! It's actually a really clever move, now that I think about it. Funny. As I was relaying the final "no", however, they came back with an offer that we couldn't pass up. In the end, we left with a new car and are happy with the deal they offered. However, the way deal went down and the pressure they put on us to buy a car was unbelievably whack. We thought we would be in and out, but ended up spending 6 hours there. Did we fall to the pressure? Yes. But, we're happy with the car itself, and we're grown adults responsible for our own decisions, hence 2 stars instead of 1. read more

In October, I scheduled my 2003 Chevy Malibu for its ignition switch recall.  When I arrived on Friday, October 17th, I was told that I would be required to pay for the recall because I did not have the original keys to my car. I agreed because it was a small domination of money, but felt frustrated (maybe tricked) because I had explicitly asked the customer service representative on the phone about this. I had explicitly asked about all fees and charges associated with the repair. He assured me it was all "free." It took them three hours, but eventually they replaced my keys. Phil told me that he had difficulties turning-over my car, he couldn't get the keys to work. In the three hours he had my vehicle, he was never able to successfully start it; therefore he matched the keys from the parking lot.  I watched him bang around the ignition, and it was true, he really couldn't get it to turn-over.  I had never had this problem before. I thought it was weird that he was experiencing difficulties. On my first attempt, I was able to start my vehicle. I laughed and said: "oh, maybe she only drives for me." Fast forward a few weeks: My car suddenly began having problems starting. The battery would get electricity but no fuel would enter the system. When it would turn-over, it would randomly, and without notice, shut-off. Imagine driving 40 mph on Aurora, when suddenly the dashboard illuminates, the power steering turns-off, and the car dies. This is incredibly dangerous and scary -- especially on a busy thoroughfare. There are something like eight reported deaths as from this exact Chevy problem. I did some simple googling and learned that this is a systemic issue the recall was intended to fix.  My car had never had any problems starting, or staying on, until I had that "free" recall. I called Chevy. Cliff over at Chevy confirmed for me that they would take care of the issue at no expense of my own. He said, verbatim: "it sounds like something we must've done while we were fixing your recall. Bring it in, we'll take care of it." He confirmed numerous times that I would not I incur any cost for them to fix this problem.  When I arrived, however, I was told that I would be required to pay a $120 diagnosis fee. *If* Chevy determined that the issue was their fault, then I would not be required to pay the fee, but I still may be responsible for the cost of the replacement parts, or labor. This was 100-percent, the absolute opposite of what was communicated to me via the phone. I asked for the supervisor. Eventually, he came to the desk, but he did not make eye contact with me, nor did he speak to me. The supervisor immediately began speaking quietly to Cliff. Whatever was happening, I know this, it wasn't customer service. It smelled a lot like protecting the short-term, poorly-prioritized interests of the company. I politely expressed to the supervisor that I was told my car repairs would be covered under the recall, and I wanted him to confirm that this was going to be honored before I gave them permission to take my car. He was discernibly bothered to be speaking about this with me. He scoffed at me. He told me that I probably misunderstood what was told me, or "[I] probably only heard what [I] wanted to hear." I explained to him that I did not appreciate being lured into business, and they misrepresented their services to me. It was around this point that the the supervisor looked me in the eye and told me that I should: "take my car to another dealership for free repairs."  In no uncertain terms, I have been lied to by this dealership.  In no uncertain terms, the costs, fees, and expenses have changed both times I have arrived for my appointment.  In no uncertain terms, I have been been treated with disrespect -- my time has been disrespected, my intelligence has been mocked, and and my integrity has been questioned -- accusing me of mooching for free services.  In no uncertain terms, my car developed severe issues after receiving services from them -- and they want to be absolved from any liability or consequence.  I took my vehicle to two separate mechanics, both of whom I trust. Independently and without my prompting, both mechanics have said it is likely Chevy is responsible for the new issue. Both mechanics associate the intermittent turn-over issue with the new key, or whatever happened while the mechanic was attempting to get the key to work.  Both mechanics laughed at Chevy's failure to take responsibility for their negligence.  A fun little final detail: Chevy did perform a diagnosis on my car. They did not charge me the $120 fee. However, they did give me an estimate of repairs nearing $500 which included a new ignition switch. I took my car to my trusted mechanic. He replaced just the electrical portion of the ignition switch, a repair that cost me about $200 -- including his $88 diagnosis fee. read more

When the time came for me to have a proper vehicle to tow my horse trailer with, I headed over to this dealership deadset on getting a used Tahoe. After a test drive and a lot of conversation, I took home a 2017 Chevy Tahoe, but as it turned out after a couple of days the super soft suspension ended up being a real issue for me (the motion was actually making me feel seasick). I have never had this issue before, and was upset at the thought I would end up stuck with a vehicle that didn't work for me. But what a happy surprise! Bless their hearts, the good people at Bill Pierre Chevrolet listened to me, treated me with utmost respect, took the Tahoe back, gave me full value for the trade-in, and then found this terrific 2015 Ford Expedition for me...which I'm super happy with! They were really generous and kind about the whole swap thing, and did (and re-did) a lot of math and a mountain of paperwork for me to make it happen. They did not need to do any of this, and were certainly not legally obliged to. But they chose to. And I'm grateful. Special shout outs to my salesman Taylor Hahne (aka Red), who was not going to rest til I ended up happy, and Sales Manager Steve Sanayei who did all of the heavy lifting and crunched the numbers for the swap.
