This is a hidden gem! My girlfriend and I agree that this is the best, most authentic Italian food we've had. The atmosphere is great, the service was excellent, and the food was truly amazing. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

The food here is no joke, absolutely delicious!! Scallops were the biggest I've ever seen IRL & cooked perfectly. Vanilla crème brûlée was spot-on - rich, savory, almost pudding like. My favorite! Can't got wrong with the spumoni - classic. Bruschetta was savory, crisp, & fresh Service was incredibly attentive with old-school hospitality that you don't see much anymore. That said, the atmosphere could use some love: Seating: The booths (uneven/lumpy) & decor is a bit dated. It was very hot, humid, and stagnant when we walked in, and the smell was a mix of old Parmesan & fish. Could use an upgrade to ventilation system. A little off-putting, but not enough to overshadow how good the food and service were!

I'm pretty sure we found our new favorite Italian restaraunt, and I'm shocked we had never been there before. We were all very impressed with the food and service at Pietro's Famiglia! The ambiance is that of a vintage Italian restaraunt, located on the second floor of the same building the Blind Onion Pizza and Pub is located (834 Victorian Ave #400, Sparks, NV 89431). As you enter the building, you will see a stair case across the hall directly in front of you; walk up the stairs and you will find Pietro's. There you will most likely find the owner behind the host station, somewhere in the dining room or in the kitchen assisting where he can and keeping an eye on the restaraunt. He seems very hands on and is great about ensuring his guests have everything they need for an enjoyable dining experience. The servers were on it and from how the dishes tasted, so were the kitchen staff. Our dishes included: Linguini Futti di Mare della Famiglia- A variety of seafood (clams, mussels, calamari, shrimp, scallops) sautéed with white, red or cream sauce. It was delicious and very minimal in terms of sodium with the white sauce. Very tasty since they add a small amount of pepper flakes (not Spicey at all). Add lemon and it is chefs kiss. Pollo Marsala della Famiglia- Skinless breast of chicken sautéed with garlic, mushrooms and Marsala wine. Not salty at all, and my dad was extremely pleased with his dish; love authentic Italian, and this was fantastic. For our girls, we ordered the spaghetti and marinara with a side order of meatballs to share. The meatballs were large, homemade and not dry at all. We did not order any apps this time around, but did receive lots of homemade bread and ordered a side of their Italian sausage- With bell pepper, onions & marinara sauce. So good!!! Every dish came with either a soup or salad. There are 4 different types of salad to choose from, and we ordered Italian garden salad with a house Italian dressing. Great experience and we will be coming back frequently.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Reno that can be a little hidden to most as it is in Victorian square hidden away on the second floor. The service is always great and I like the atmosphere. This place has the best arribiatta sauce and spumoni in Reno bar none. I love ordering the penne alla arribiatta with Italian sausage, just perfection.

This Italian restaurant was so good! Our server was super friendly! The food was so good, everything I got there I enjoyed! The scallops I had were cooked perfectly and were delicious! Their creme brûlée was amazing as well! If you like Italian this places is so good and you definitely need to try it!

I've dined here a couple times and I've always really enjoyed it. The weather was super cold and we rolled the food dice on Italian and immediately thought of Pietro's. We wanted authentic Italian and not your average chain restaurant. I called to place a to go order and it was ready in about 20 minutes. The staff was so nice on the phone and when greeting me at the door. They also allowed me to use a $10 off coupon they have advertised online as long as you print it. The restaurant is upstairs from the pizza joint directly off of Victorian. Parking is minimal, but there is a small lot in the back. The aesthetic is a bit dated, but gives it an old small town feel. They have a bar area, booths, tables and a small stage where a live singer plays, but I came in on a weekday, so I am sure that is reserved for the more bustling evenings. We ordered the shrimp alfredo and cheese ravioli with chicken. The food was still hot when I got home, but it was not exactly what I remembered. The shrimp were really small and the alfredo sauce was really light and thin. The cheese ravioli had the same alfredo sauce, but it was more thick and hearty. We also were expecting a chicken breast vs diced chicken. Overall it was good, but maybe dining in is a better option.

Very happy to recommend this restaurant Food excellent staff also make a reservation to make your stay even better

Checked this place out for the first time this weekend. I didn't even realize there was an Italian restaurant in old sparks until my fiancé mentioned Pietros as a dining option. Glad we decided to try them out. I got the manicotti pasta which comes with 3 different sauces on it- pesto, alfredo, and marinara. They like to put all three to represent the Italian flag. I thought that was pretty creative but also gave a great variety of flavor in each bite. Unfortunately the bread they offer when you first sit down was lacking for me. It wasn't anything special. I did wish they offered a garlic bread with the dish or some better variety of breads a softer or more flavorful one at the table to munch on. Maybe even with some oil and vinegar. I did pair my dinner with a glass of a Sangiovese they have which paired well with my dinner. We ended the night with a crème brûlée and it was delicious and they make it in house fresh every day. Our server was very good at helping with some recommendations from the menu when we asked for them. She was also very attentive. The atmosphere is very relaxing in here and the tables set up very nicely to give an elegant feel while dining. If you're looking for an Italian spot in the sparks area and don't want to travel into town in the Reno area you must check this restaurant out!

Today's appetizers, all of which were really good: Meatballs - Huge, more than enough to share! Even with 7 of us. We all got a bite. Calamari - Fried well, decent portions. I think I ate most of this dish. Love me some calamari! Toasted Focaccia Bruschetta - Hit for our group. I enjoyed it also, but the calamari was still my favorite. Complimentary Bread - So good!! Always a favorite. We always have to get seconds. If you want 3rds, it comes with a $4 upcharge, but that is still worth it in my book. House Salads - Nothing special, but also not bad. Fresh, decent quantity, and with dressing on the side. Two Cesar Salads - Our guests enjoyed this. $5 upcharge each. Cups of Minestrone Soups - Good. Cup of Egg Drop Soup - One of our guests wanted to try this; $5 upcharge. Linguine & Clams - Both in white and red sauce. My choice was the red sauce. I kept forgetting that this comes with BABY clams as I prefer larger clams, and actually if it was still in the shell, that would be an extra plus. NOTE to self, do not keep getting this... Eggplant Parmigiana - Home run, both ladies that got this loved it! Huge slices of eggplant. Baked and fried well. Eggplant Parmigiana with Grilled Chicken - WOW, generous portions. I think my wife took ¾ of her dish home... She got another two meals out of it. Sauteed Calamari Steak - This looked good, I might get it next time. Our newest addition to our group. She also took half her entree home. Grilled Prawn Picatta - Not a large quantity, but because all of us (except one) are light eaters, our guest still took half home. Another good entree. I will also add this to my list for next time. Special Chicken Pomodoro - Decent portions, my buddy devoured this. He is a good eater. One of the few in our group, lol. Dessert, Tiramisu - This was really good. We should have ordered a second one... And to wash it all down, I got a glass of Italian white wine which I really did not enjoy... Atmosphere - Double storefront. We seemed to always end up sitting in the second room but not today! I liked that they had a bar in each room. Table, booth, or bar seating. Two unisex restrooms. Plenty of parking. See pictures for business hours. Open 6 days a week; closed Mondays. Service - Good. We had a leisurely 2 hour dinner and never felt rushed. We were catching up with our good friends and new friends. Price - $323 + generous tips. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1990 as Davos; we have been customers for a very long time. Glad we are back and introducing our friends to your restaurant. Mid 1990 - Coco Pazzo, then renamed to Panevino. 2000 - Zozo's.
