My love and i went to Pignettis for the first time and we had a great time. For a Friday night with no reservations, the wait wasn't bad at all! The atmosphere was 100; loved the candle lit & wine glasses setup on the table. Lilly was our waitress and she was a tremendous help. Great smile & attitude the entire time, she went above and beyond. My hunni wasnt too excited it only had two tvs. Lol But all around great time. Last night my mom and I went to eat dinner here and we were blown away! We are from out of town and wanted to try something new that was from the area. We found Pignetti's on yelp & thought we'd give it a try! The hostess immediately sat us, was very kind, and the place is gorgeous! The lighting is stunning. Our server, I wish I remembered her name, was incredible! She said it was her first week but you wouldn't have been able to tell. She was fantastic. Very knowledge, very down to earth, and such good service! The drinks were spot on. We both got a lemon drop! Very tasty and the rim was coated in brown sugar! We started with bread, bone marrow butter (YUM!), and this fanatic olive oil with herbs. It was super good. Our dinner was amazing! Salad and pasta dishes with chicken. Such good flavors and well cooked. When leaving each person we walked past said bye. Additionally, someone even said, "we really appreciate you coming." Just very very sweet good people working at this restaurant. It was such a breath of fresh air! We very much enjoyed our evening at Pignetti's Waco. We tried the Beef Lasagna Rolls for ur appetizer--delicious! Then had the nightly special salad, a watermelon salad served with basil and balsamic reduction. I had the shrimp and chicken gnocchi and my husband had the Chicken Parmesan. All were very good and the servings generous. The only thing we wished was that we didn't know that there was a wine list until we had ordered wine by the glass. The wine list had wine selections more to our liking. The restaurant seemed pretty busy for a Thursday night and our waiter was attentive and friendly. read more

We reserved a table to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Waiter Trey was great! We even got a Happy Anniversary card signed by all the staff! We have dined here twice and both times the food and service were EXCELLENT. It is the perfect place for a date night or to celebrate a special occasion. It's not cheap so expect to spend a little especially if you get alcohol. But it's worth it. My hubby tried the pork chop w/mashed potatoes and lobster ravioli and loved both. We both enjoyed the calamari and their limoncello cake is WONDERFUL. We really have not gotten a bad dish here. I prefer the chicken parm over the chicken piccata but that's just my preference. Took my mom and daughter out for Mother's Day dinner. We were seated right away even though we were early for our reservation. Amazing ambiance and wonderful staff; our waitress Lauren was the best! The food and drinks were delicious too. They have a spritzer on the specials menu made with St. Germaine and prosecco that's amazing on a warm day. Don't get me wrong the food was great the waitress had a bad attitude because she was serving 6 older women even though she was putting on 20 percent tip on each check but we usually tip more because we eat out every month. What got us upset was the 3.00 charge for using a credit card for each of us that was not posted any where on the menu or their web site and the waitress could of told us before hand because we all had cash but it's just easier than waiting for change. read more

Waco's new ish upscale ish Italian. Great oaky industrial ambiance perfect for a celebration or date night. Food is tasty-- I really appreciated that the temperature of the dishes was hot! First the water was not filtered and had a bleach taste, The house wine Cabernet tasted like vinegar like it had been opened for awhile. We both ordered the chicken Marsala .. it had a terrible taste. It tasted like a beef bouillon cube and water with tasteless tough chicken. We ordered bread and it was hot , but stale. The risotto tasted like old rice and earthy. Our waiter was not overly personable. It was very disappointing for a birthday dinner. We were seated quickly and got our ticket promptly . We had to stop for ice cream to get the taste out of our mouth of the chicken Marsala. I will say the Temple location is exceptionally good . We keep trying Waco hoping it will get better. I've been with my husband and the service was good, but we went with a party of 10 for a birthday and the service was horrible. One person in our party literally got ignored the entire time by the server because she was at the end of the table. Her food never came out so we had to share with her and the server didn't even ask her for her dessert choice. The food has always been pretty good, although certainly not the best Italian food I've ever had. The portion size of the fettuccine Alfredo seemed a bit lacking, but on the opposite end of the spectrum, the chicken and spaghetti in the chicken Parmesan was a massive amount of food. There's no way I would've been able to finish it in one sitting. All of the food was tasty, the ambience was nice despite the restaurant being pretty busy, the only gripe I might have is that if you want bread and olive oil it is charged per individual? Had dinner last night at Pignetti's with another couple who had never been to the Waco location. When we arrived, they were impressed by the conversion of the old Phoenix building and how they incorporated aspects of the original design. We were seated quickly and our server was quick to check on us and take our drink orders. The drinks came quickly and were exactly as ordered. When we ordered, we had a couple of requests, one simple (sauce) and mine.. I'm on an elimination (most carbs) diet and ordered the ribeye steak. I asked the server if it would be possible to get 2 eggs over easy in place of the sides. She said she wasn't sure, but she'd check on it. A couple of minutes later, she returned and said it would be no problem and confirmed how I would like them cooked, The meal was great, and the other couple had desserts, which the enjoyed. I fully expected that when we got the bill, I'd be charged for the substitution, but there was no charge... This was a nice change as many places are not accommodating and just want to add charge and serve you all the sides you asked not to have anyway. Check them out! read more

We had a great experience dining here, we came in right before the closed the kitchen between lunch and dinner. We loved the vibe and use of the space. The particularly the fireplace decorated for the holidays. They even have a room for large gatherings. I got the Arugula Prosciutto Salad and Mushroom Risotto both were pretty good. My wife enjoyed the Wagyu Meatballs and Chicken Parmesan. Our waitress was great, she was very helpful and patient with us, and gave great suggestions. I went to Waco for a business event and my colleagues recommended we dine here. The food was pretty decent, I had the lasagna which was good, Our appetizers included the polenta fries & blue cheese chips which were delicious. The atmosphere was nice. Coco & Ambrosia were amazing, provided us with amazing & attentive service. The one thing that was a red flag & didn't make any sense was their rules on their 'happy hour' which turned out to be unhappy for us. Apparently if you sat a table to order and eat dinner you couldn't benefit from the so called happy hour. While the 2 dollar discount on their drinks wasn't a major savings, I thought their response and insistence to move us to the bar to get the happy hour prices was completely ridiculous! Our table was across from the fireplace very close to the bar???? And we had ordered already because no one told us the stringent rules of their happy hour. It left a sour taste in our mouths and certainly tainted the evening. Management Customer service can definitely be improved; we had 3 appetizers, entrees a couple of drinks. Restaurant is small and quaint. Our waiter wasn't the best to be honest. He seemed bothered the entire time. We tried the ribeye lasagna - good but not great, it was all meat and sauce and the bit of cheese it included was clumped up on top (had to use a knife to cut into it). The lemon pecorino shrimp pasta was flavorful but really rich (good for sharing and with another dish). Also tried the Mac and cheese, good but the cheese wasn't the best quality. We also ordered Italian bread and the waiter suggested an order for each person - it's one slice per order not a basket of bread which seems overpriced at $3.50 each. read more
