The meal was okay but I feel that they can improve in a few ways. I ordered two appetizers just to get a sample of their offerings. I had the popcorn shrimp and the rib tips. The shrimp was small and bready. The breading was the generic kind you get when you get a popcorn shrimp frozen tv dinner. No sauce was provided for the shrimp at all. Some tartar would have been nice. They were dry and crunchy so having something to dip them in would have made all the difference. It doesn't seem like these shrimp were cleaned carefully at all. Some of the shrimp still had the tails on and there were also just some breaded fried tails in the container that were not attached to any shrimp. I hope these breaded tails didn't count towards the total of 20 shrimp that were supposed to be in the order but it was too late to start counting them at this point since I had already begun eating. The rib tips were better than the shrimp. The sauce did however taste store bought. There were also too many fatty pieces which I ended up spitting out. The meat itself was tender and the flavor was okay and that's where they earned the two stars in this review. No biscuit or cornbread was provided which most BBQ places throw in for free. No napkins, fork or anything else provided. In addition when I walked in the guy working the counter was on the phone taking an order. He did not acknowledge me at all and I was only there for a pick up. The other gentleman standing with him told me the guy on the phone would be with me in one moment but did nothing to help me himself. I don't feel that customers on the premises should have to wait for a call for a delivery. If anything they should have placed the caller on hold. In any case a guy from the kitchen poked his head out and asked if I was there for a pickup and came over to bring my food. If it weren't for him I'd probably still be standing there. I also want to mention EAT24 in this review since I used it to place my order. The act of placing the actual order went smoothly and I don't want this review to reflect poorly on them at all because they were nothing but helpful. I had initially scheduled my order for a later time and realized I was getting off from work much earlier so I used their online chat to have the time of my order changed. The support staff (Roman) was very polite and accommodating. I look forward to using EAT24 again this time hopefully at a better restaurant. read more

I bet when the owners of this place were coming up with a restaurant concept some smart ass said there'd be a great BBQ/chicken place in Lindenhurst when pigs fly....The rest was history. There was a similar place here and then what seemed like overnight Pigs on a Wing popped up. I'm glad they did because the menu is much better and the food found the flavor that the previous place had seemed to lose. I have never been inside but of the many times I've driven by it always seemed organized and clean. We usually get delivery and both the person who takes the order and the delivery person are very polite and helpful. Also fast, which is key in keeping the food tasty. As I mentioned the menu is bigger and My wife knows I have a difficult time deciding on a meal when there are multiple good options to choose from. So I'm not saying that she did it on purpose but we ordered what we had in the past but added some spare ribs. I didn't realize till after that the menu was bigger. HOW COULD YOU NOT LET ME ORDER THE CHICKEN AND WAFFLE SANDWICH???? ( I will have to back and report on all of the other goodies I try there. Now on to what we did have. The creamed spinach is excellent as is the now flavorful mac and cheese. I give two thumbs up for that. We also ordered a full rack or Brontosaurus spare ribs. Seriously these things are huge! They seemed to be grilled which I like and the BBQ sauce was good if not a little too plentiful for my liking. The chicken was as it always is, nice and crispy and juicy but was a tad salty which then made the sides seems bland which they weren't. Saltiness aside I am glad Pigs on a Wing have made their home here in Lindy. (Have I been here long enough to say Lindy? Is it even acceptable to say it at all?) This is a take out BBQ joint. They have a few stools in the front but I wouldn't dare eat inside. It was over 90 degrees with high humidity when I came and this place has no air conditioning. Just a flimsy fan blowing the hot air around. It was hotter inside the store than outside. I felt so bad for the the staff working in that awful condition. Ordered the fried chicken and ribs combo. Instead of slaw, I opted for baked beans. It also comes with a drink, fries and corn bread. I wish I just had the meats without the sides. Fries were soggy, baked beans weren't so good and the corn bread was more like a cake and too sweet. However, the meats were awesome. Fantastic, juicy, full of flavor fried chicken. Not greasy at all and spiced well. The ribs were equally great made just how I like. Grilled and drowned in a delicious barbecue sauce. I would come back just for the meats and skip the sides. I just wish they had brisket on the menu. Seeing how they did the chicken and ribs, they'd probably make a serious brisket. As much as I love this place, with everything going on..VERY DISAPPOINTED! We did no contact delivery and the driver was NOT wearing a mask or gloves as I saw him leaving the door like the woman told me over the phone when placing my order. If this is what their drivers are doing with this pandemic, It will be awhile before we order again..if ever. Lack or respect of and safety for this customers. I debated about calling but no point. It's really interesting how this restaurant popped up, considering Lindenhurst is filled with Pizzerias and Chinese spots, it's good to have some variety; but not saying there isn't already. The fried chicken here is fantastic. It is getting increasingly hard on long island south shore to get good fried chicken to go anywhere. I really liked the baby back ribs and sweet potato fries. I do suggest they serve the mac and cheese in some other type of container as the presentation looks bad in a clear container. The taste is really good though. The corn bread seems a bit off as I thought it needed some salt. It was also a bit soggy. The fries need to be put in a bag or something that can vent so they wont get soggy. I will be back for wings as I want to try out more things here. Update. Had the cream spinach and mistakenly ordered dark meat fried chicken as the phone guy must not have heard I wanted white meat. Nice little spot with no parking and minimal seating. The group of guys working in there were a friendly bunch, but they really should keep their personal chatter down to minimum when it comes to cursing and personal issues when customers are in the store. Very courteous, just talking a little bit inappropriately amongst themselves. I had a chicken and waffles sandwich with gravy and it was delicious. The chicken cutlet was fried up really nicely and the waffle was divine. The gravy was dark and salty, just how I like it. I also had a side order of mac n cheese which was tasty, but not earth shattering. The store looked clean and really well kept. Next time I come through I'll try a burger. I've wanted to stop by for a while and today got the chance. Neat and clean, white subway tile 4' up and deep red paint to the ceiling. The front waiting area had a few stools against the window. Ordered the 2 slider meal (1chicken & 1 pork), came with cole slaw and corn bread. Pork was excellent, moist and flavorful. They even toasted the bun which made it that much better. The pulled chicken was tasty also, but the pork was better. Plenty of meat overflowing these small buns. Cole slaw was very tasty, but the cornbread was very dense with little flavor. Chicken tender meal with macaroni salad and corn bro for my son. He is very picky, but loved them. They were tasty and moist and real chicken. Excellent! Mac salad was very good, it was not overrun with mayo, but quite tasty. Jalapeño poppers surprised me. I expected your standard frozen & fried, but they weren't. They were clearly made, breaded and fried there, and the sauce was tasty also. A nice heat left behind, I ate them all. While waiting for our food, the very friendly girl behind the counter gave us a sample of Mac & cheese. So creamy and cheesy, they had us at first bite. We added some to our order. I saw this a few years ago when my friend lived nearby. I'd made a mental note to try it, and promptly forgot. Fast forward a few years, and I suddenly remembered. I went after work on a workday, and the restaurant was mostly empty, save for a group of local high school kids. The building itself is built more for take out or delivery, but there are a few stool seats. The staff are friendly, and greeted me as though I had been going for years. They took my order, and I had a seat. The food came out in a timely manner and correctly. Unfortunately, the amount of flavor in this was lacking. I expect a red onion slaw to have way more bite than this did. The spicy mayo had a little zip, but was mostly creamy. The chicken was okay, and the onion rings were good, but neither was worth the price. A 20 oz soda, a fried chicken sandwich, and onion rings, and it ran me a little over $20. I discovered this place from my wife whose office had food from POTW catered to their office. My wife brought me home some fried chicken and bbq ribs. I fell in love immediately. I have been looking for a chicken place since Flavor Crisp closed. Pigs on the Wing did not disappoint me. I ordered for my family a rack of ribs and 4 pieces of very meaty fried chicken. I was going to take pictures of chicken but my teenage son garvoned the chicken before i could snap the pictures. My order included 2 large sides and 3 pieces of delicious cornbread. Everyone was stuffed and there wasn't a morsel remaining. I will never ever go to KFC or Boston Market again. The final star is they deliver. I am disabled and unable to fly there so if you live on the surrounding area your in luck. The driver had a mobile credit card machine. How Buck Rodgers is that . For my sides I got mac n cheese and the veggies. Ok. The spinach, bacon and cheese dip was awful. How can you mess up anything with bacon in it.
