Cilantro flavored rice with lime covered with a few red onions was delicious. Black beans were fine. Will order flan again when we go back. Those that chose chicken or beef had the same experience. This was the best Ceviche I have ever eaten. You can order at the front counter and your food will be delivered to you. Everyone was friendly...and the food was GREAT! It looks like it was converted from a BP Convenience store and is part of the gas station building. Simple surroundings, but nice and clean. Fantastic Peruvian restaurant. We ordered the half chicken with yuca and the lomo saltado. To drink we ordered the passionfruit juice and the strawberry smoothie. The chicken, yuca, and lomo saltado were fantastic. The portion sizes were huge as well. I thought the drinks were good but would try other flavors next time (whereas with food I literally would reorder the lomo saltado!!) We came here for lunch today and I will be back soon! read more

Small business eats are the way to go when ordering out!! My family knew we had to try this place, it's Peruvian food and a short drive away. Physically the place is cute and cozy, odd placing as it's right next to a gas station but no gross gassy smell it just smells delicious in there. Picked up 6 different dishes all to go and every one was absolutely delicious. I am pretty positive this place is family owned and run for the most part, staff was kind when we were in there only thing to note is that if you are only English speaking there might be a slight language barrier. We had a delicious lunch at Pikkito. It's located in the same building as the BP gas station on Parmenter. The restaurant is comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The place had a nice vibe tucked next to a gas station. Parking is limited. When you walk in you order right away. When we went- a bunch of table were already reserved which was confusing as it looked like the seating was first come first serve. We ordered lomo saltada which is one of the most popular Peruvian dish and Creole. I expected more out of the Lomo Saltada. The steak wasn't cooked to perfection and the green sauce wasn't the best I have had. On the other hand, the creole pleasantly surprised us. The pork was juicy and tender and cooked to perfection. The cilantro rice was extremely flavorful. The service was ok. The table next to us kept getting his order wrong and he had to wait for a long time for that to be corrected. We got our meal and after that didn't hear back from the server. If you like Peruvian food- I would give this place a try. I think I went with a lot of expectation. read more

Delicious food! Good service even if it's an order-at-counter kind of place. Hope they stick around as the spot has seen high turnover (it is next to the BP gas station). Lomo Saltado was on point and beef was tender. They ran out of regular rice and gave us cilantro rice instead so we didn't have to wait (after asking if that was alright first of course) for a new pot of rice to be made. Good to be able to problem solve! Fries were really good too! My friend had the quarter chicken was juicy, not dry and not too salty. Ceviche is a big portion and authentic I'm told by my South American friend. Desserts are really good too! I had been hearing a lot of good things about this place so I decided to check it out for myself. I'm so glad that I did. The food was excellent and very flavorful! I had the Tropical Pikkito which as a quarter chicken that had crispy skin and juicy meat. It came in a bowl with cilantro rice and black beans and fried sweet plantains. I have to say that they were the best fried plantains I have ever had. My son had the creole bowl which was similar to my bowl but had pork. He really liked it too! The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. We split a large piece of a tres leches cake which was also very good! This was a great call and I'm going to start by recommending this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal. The staff was friendly and although it was our first visit, we were greeted by Esmarelda like friends, and she walked us through the menu. The food was prepared beautifully, the portions were large, and the flavors were outstanding. I had the lomo saltado, my family had the tropical and the caribenao. I have never written a yelp review but this place was amazing. The fish ceviche was the best we've had in Madison and the chicken was delicious. Even the rice was perfectly cooked. Excellent! Stopped by since I happened to be in Middleton and saw it was a well-liked new restaurant. I ordered the chicken sandwich, which was very nicely flavored. I also had a side of sweet plantains, which were just the right amount of sweet with a nice tang to them. The food is served on metal trays and the restaurant as a whole has a great lunch counter vibe. The food came pretty quickly and the service was great. We don't come out here super often, but Pikkito is reason to come more! Highly recommended!!! read more
