This is one of our new faves to pick up a pizza when we don't feel like cooking. We tried it for the first time last night. I ordered online (large cheese with pepperoni, olives, mushrooms and bell pepper, along with a small Pinball salad, corn, cheesy fries and potato salad) and my husband picked it up. I couldn't believe how fast our food was ready. I ordered at 7:18, and he showed up a little early at 7:30. The person working at the counter apologized and told him he would "have to wait 3 minutes." All that food in less than 15-20 minutes?? The staff was very, very nice. The pizza was delicious! The salads and corn came in generous portions too, and I highly recommend the cheesy fries. We really enjoyed everything, and it was so reasonably priced. I ordered too much, and the whole dinner, ply tax and tip was around $50. They also offer wings, ribs, pastas, desserts, and other dinner items like fried shrimp. I wish I could give this zero or negative stars. Pizza took over 2.5 hours to arrive. First, their webpage showed the driver right around the corner. 20 min later, we called - were told that this was a glitch, pizza was currently 10 min away. 20 minutes later, called to cancel (past hour no 2 at this point) told that it was on the way. Finally arrived more than 2.5 hours later. Wings were not cooked all the way through. And then the pizza...so apparently the new owner INSISTS that they are using the same ingredients, recipes, process, etc...this is nonsense. The only resemblance to the pizza under the old ownership was that it was round. It ended there. Smaller pizza, absolutely different - and inferior - crust, sauce tasted different and the presentation was off - there was a 3" strip across one side with zero cheese. These new owners have taken what was once an excellent and affordable dinner and driven it right into the toilet. I should have gone to Costco for a better and less expensive pizza. I used to really like this place, and now I will never, ever be back. Update: First method of deflection: "We can't find a record of you." A different member of my household with a different phone number placed the order. She's the one who called at least 3 times that evening and received 3 different excuses. "Additionally, if there were concerns about undercooked chicken, we would have expected to receive a call immediately so we could issue a refund or replacement right away. We have no record of a complaint matching this situation." Correct, because after 3 or 4 calls with different excuses, we were DONE with you. We had already wasted nearly 3 hours with you people. It's cute that you expect me to provide you with photos of your lousy food. There are multiple reviews out there with the same or remarkably similar situations as I described. Found this spot in Burbank and was really impressed with the food and friendly service. We tried a few different pizzas plus the chicken tenders, wings, and garlic bread, and everything was solid, especially the garlic bread. It's under new ownership and you can tell they've put work into upgrading the place. The pinball machines are fun and the retro vibe is a nice touch. 2022.04-20/WED_1900: We were invited to a friend's for dinner and drinks. They decided they wanted to order from their favorite place again in Burbank because they said they get a sweet deal and the food is always amazing. There were a couple of us so they ordered a bunch of food! We had Chicken Wings. They were in a sweet and sour-type, tangy sauce. The size of the wings were jumbo. That was my favorite about it especially since there's no breading on them! They were naked. They also ordered buttered Corn on the Cob. That came wreaked in foil and was so tender and fell off the cob. Our favorite is always the Butterflied Shrimp. Man, they were huge, butterflied and were light and crispy! They were meaty, too! They give you plenty of lemon and cocktail sauce for everyone. We also got chicken nuggets. They were great, too! If you buy a certain amount in food, they give you a complimentary small pepperoni pizza! You can't beat that with a stick. Check out their menu. When you're just hanging out with the crew, this is a great place for some good grub. All in all, this place is awesome for large gatherings. Had a feeling something was off... Sadly we have been pinball pizza customers for years!!! I mean since the 80's. About 2 weeks or so ago we placed an order and after an hour went by I thought wow it never takes this long so I phoned and was told they were really busy and it was going out in about 5 minutes. So I decided to track my order and it showed it being out for delivery but it was going to take 20 minutes to get to us when we are 3 blocks away!! So not only am I getting an extremely late pizzas but a cold ones as well... I phoned again and asked them to cancel my order , I wasn't paying 50 plus dollars for late cold pizzas..now I have been getting odd text messages from them, advertising specials and such which I don't appreciate .. and never got before... so come to find out NEW OWNERS!! It's unfortunate to order something then you paying a lot more these days for delivery and the service and then they get your order wrong. It's just not OK. It's not OK at all . Pinball's never been a top pizza place for flavor and food. It's kind of the third choice. After some research I found out it's been sold. Unfortunately the new owners are not releasing their names so that's suspicious already. I don't like that I like to know who I'm buying and who I'm spending my dollars with because if I don't Like the food or whatever I have a right to know who's producing it so since they're keeping that somewhat under wraps publicly I won't be back and the previous owners had reasonable prices and a really good special for families and it looks like these new owners have increased prices by I mean over 50% Pinball machines went out a long time ago very small population that even likes them so bringing pinball machines into the restaurant I don't know how long that fat is gonna go, but there should be a law when you take over a restaurant from a previous owner who's had it for over a decade you need to change the name because it isn't the same and you can't try and keep loyal customers by to me hiding behind a name that truly doesn't represent you Good try read more

Blink and you'll miss it... LA is such a mish mash of stores and buildings so it's pretty easy to miss a place like Pinball Pizza. It's not on the main, busy section of Magnolia Park. It's covered by trees and nestled between a nail salon and since it's Burbank...probably a gun store? Then you try the food and you realize what you've been missing all this time. On first glance, Pinball Pizza isn't much. It's just your run of the mill pizza place. You might even look at it and think it's kinda crappy given that we've gotten used to gourmet slices and exotic ingredients like lamb and kalamata olives. It does remind me of those terrible slices of pizza you'd get at the mall or an arcade when you were a kid, but on first bite you've proven right and wrong. Yeah, it's exactly like those slices of pizza you had as a kid or after a stress filled Costco trip...but so much better. First off, any great pizza will have a great crust. It's not soggy or floppy like say, a Costco pizza. There's also a nice chew and most importantly, crunch. It's a perfectly cooked pizza with a tasty crust, exactly what it should be. They have two options, regular and thick crust and the regular crust is pretty thick as it is. For me, a sign of a great pizza is I'm willing to eat the crust and well, the only thing left on my plate after the meal were chicken wing bones. As for the toppings, we got the works which is their version of a supreme. Nothing really special about it, but everything is good. The cheese blend however stands out...there's a creaminess to how it melts and there's a flavor and saltiness that isn't just mozzarella. It reminds me of something between a Little Caesar's and old school Pizza Hut. If I had one complaint, maybe there's too much cheese, but that might be a personal preference. If you love extra cheese...maybe it's enough. Like any good pizza place, Pinball has more things on the menu. They have a pretty vast menu, but simple pizza choices. They can make any kind of pizza you want but they have all the basics like supreme, meat lovers, and Hawaiian...but if pizza isn't your thing they also have pasta, fish and chips, ribs, and fried chicken. Actually, it's broasted. I haven't ordered it here, but it can be pretty good. Actually, before I ever ordered pizza from this place, I only got their wings. One of my pet peeves about ordering wings these days is a lot of places claim to have jumbo wings, but they're not really. One time I got a wing the size of a juice box and even better, they're cooked perfectly. Moist and tender on the inside and deep fried to a golden brown. They don't have buffalo sauce though...it's like a weird mixture of ketchup, bbq, and sweet chili. It's really good, but if that's not your thing then ask for them without sauce and do your own thing...or just have them on their own, they're still that good. Their other side orders are also on point...mozzarella sticks are good and so are the steak fries. Pretty sure if it comes from their fryer, it's worth getting, even if it may be bad for you. Like any good pizza place, they deliver and this is where things can get wonky, but thankfully service is great and relatively quick. I live about 2 miles away and have ordered through GrubHub all the times. They use their own driver and each time it's been a very nice, older Asian man. Each time the food was warm, spill free, came in the expected time (around 30-40 minutes), and handed off with a smile. More importantly, the fried foods arrived still crispy...that's a testament to good frying and packaging. I regret not trying this place sooner, but now it'll be in the weeknight dinner rotation. read more

I'll be honest, Pinball has a soft spot in my heart for their $4.99 large one topping pizza that saved the day in my broke twenties. Now, a large one topping pickup is still a bargain at a flat $11.00. They don't open until 4pm, so it's only a dinner option. They have plenty of family deals with salads, chicken & sandwiches so ask for their deals when ordering. This place is family owned and still have the same faces for the past 30 years. Save your money and do not try. There is a reason why a large pizza is 7.99 you're better off going to little caesars. This is bowling alley pizza. The crust was still raw when we got it and had to put it in the oven for 15 minutes. Everything just does not taste fresh. It's a good price but you get what you pay for. They do get two stars for their wings, they are fries wings and come with a Thai chili sauce that is really good.
