I read quite a few comments the food quality has gone down hill I certainly agree. Everyone I order gyros it's all the leftover scraps . Gyros should be nice strips off the spit , you get crumbles here. The toast feels like it's a day or two old and not fresh . On the upside they have great waiters and waitresses . I was harassed by what I assume is a worker as I exited the parking lot to go grab my grandma, who was confused and parked in the wrong parking lot down the road from the restaurant. He pulled his car up about a foot away from me as I was crossing the crosswalk (already a rude move, you should be giving pedestrians space to safely cross the road) and yelled from his window that he was going to tow me. Safe to say we did not enter the establishment and went elsewhere, where we received kind service. Beware of this establishment. read more

Cheap yummy breakfast! They are always busy, but will almost always get you a seat right away. It's one of those older small family restaurants that you don't see much anymore. Everyone working there seems like family. Make sure to try the chicken dumpling soup! read more

This "was" a good place to eat but in the last couple of months it has gone down across the board except for the servers. The quality of food is what has changed the most. Example the last view visits i either ordered the roasted chicken or the broasted chicken. Which when it was served it was very dried and tasteless. Today I decided to try one last time but when I mentioned to the waitress she said she would ask. When she came back she said it was not cooked today. When I asked if it was cooked yesterday she didn't answer. So I ordered the huevos Ranchero and asked if they could make the steak medium rare. It came with left over hashbrowns from about 6 hours prior and were dried out and cold just like the steak. Which was dried and well done. This family restaurant has gone from bad to worse. The icing on the cake was watching the cook standing there picking his pimples and moving to deep inside of his nose. That was it for me. I went to pay the bill and the cashier asked me how was my meal. After telling him everything that I mentioned above he said all the checked is cooked to order. But didn't even try and defend the cook with his nose picking. If you ever think of going there, think again to avoid posting the same things mentioned here. read more

Was very disappointed with my Turkey Dinner. The stuffing was burnt and not very tasty underneath the burnt top. Manager asked me at the cashier how my dinner was and I told him about the stuffing and how disappointed I was and he said don't come back here anymore.....wow what a nasty response. Humungous menu! I could order something different every time I stop in and never try it all. But I always try the soup of the day! Very nice service and food comes out quickly. The place is usually pretty busy when we go, which speaks to its popularity. An inexpensive lunch spot or quick family dinner that won't break the bank. read more

After going to this restaurant for over 20 years, I am done! I ordered carryout twice in one month. Same order, same inept customer service. First order - Julienne Salad, extra garlic dressing on the side. When I opened the bag at home, there was no salad dressing at all. I called to let them know there was no salad dressing in my bag and received a FORCED apology. Not... I can bring some over, I will make an adjustment to your bill, I will give you a free dessert next time you come in. I sent an E Mail to the owner letting them know of my experience however, I did not receive a response. My next order was the exact same thing, how can they mess up a Julienne Salad, extra garlic dressing on the side a second time? Oh wait... they can and did. This time they claimed the person taking the order just came back and didn't know they didn't have garlic dressing anymore. First, it's on your menu and second, why hasn't you staff been updated on menu changes upon their return? Again.... no apology or compensation of any kind. Either they have given up or they just stopped caring about their customers. I have tried to support as many local businesses as possible during the pandemic but I'm sorry, this was the last time I will support Pine Street Cafe. read more

Nice and cozy local cafe. Food was very good with generous portions at a very reasonable price. Comfortable atmosphere, decor is a bit dated but not dirty in any way. We chose a booth and the seats were very comfortable, staff is friendly and very attentive but not intrusive. We're happy we found this little gem. Definitely recommend them and we will most certainly be back. read more

We love to come here, but tonight the service and food were off. The burger was dry and charred. The cubed steak pretty tasteless and overdone. Brooke our waitress was rude to us - slamming our plates down on the table and rolled her eyes at the request for a condiment. She never came back to ask us if we needed something else or wanted dessert. When a party of 8 came in an hour before closing Brooke mouthed profanities to the other waitress... they obviously inconvenienced her as she was putting away creamers and table condiments hoping to close and get out as soon as possible. We love the owner and the family being a local business and hope to return for another chance at a better experience as you hate to let one bad employee stop you from returning. read more

Oh my goodness. This place was phenomenal. Little mom and pop breakfast stop. I came with my family party of 17 and our server, Trina, was awesome. This will most definitely be our breakfast stop every time I'm in town. Kids had Mickey Mouse pancakes... I had build your own omelette. BEST OMELETTE IVE EVER HAD!!!! Also ordered my hash browns crispy and they were great! Ps. After requesting my food to be recooked, we were asked not to return to this place and we were charged for food we didn't eat or want. I asked for my food to be cooked lighter because it came out burnt. I used to love coming here for our Sunday breakfast while we did laundry down the road. read more

Was slightly disappointed they didn't offer a military discount, signs by cash register, front window and entrance door says they are a military family and support the military but they don't offer any military discounts. Horrible smell in the dining area and outdated decor. The poorly lit dining room was uncomfortable to sit in. The menu seemed too wildly varied for any one thing to be fresh or properly prepared. The server did seem friendly. I think that it would be a nice place for breakfast maybe? read more

Very good breakfast. My wife had the ham and eggs. A very nice piece of ham and the eggs were perfect. I had a gypsy skillet with over easy eggs and it was great! The menu has a very large selection for lunch and dinner also breakfast is served anytime. We will be back! read more

First time we stopped by it was nice. Good grilled cheese, soup and service. This time not so. Only 3 tables filled and I was seated right on top one of the occupied tables. The cooks had to tell server I was waiting to be seated. Asked to chance my table. Then I ordered turkey club. Felt like I got a bite of something I could not eat. Normally we love this place. However, after the last two times we will never come back. They were slow for a Monday night. Our waitress came and introduced herself letting us know she would be back to take our order. She came back about 5 minutes later asked for our order. We told her what drinks we would like with it. She left and after 20 minutes went by we still hand not seen her again. We didn't get drinks, we didn't get the soup we had ordered and our food was due to be up shortly at that point. It amazes me how awful service can be with practically no customers in the building! With 18 years of serving experience this is completely unacceptable. read more

After reading the other two reviews we stopped in for a Sunday breakfast. The coffee IS good. The waitresses were very friendly and kept the coffee coming. The food, was not so good considering at the time they were not busy. Our medium rare Ribeye steak and eggs over medium, came leathery well done, eggs cooked hard and the hash browns tasted like they were left over from Saturday. The toast was ok. When the waitress came back I told her that both of our steaks were way well done, she offered to get us new ones. We declined because we did not have time to wait. We did hear her tell the cook that the steaks were over done and took them off the bill. Next time in Burlington we will eat somewhere else. read more

Had the worst experience EVER in ANY restaurant! They served my 2 year old spoiled chocolate milk. This was only discovered after I took a sip of my child's milk and almost threw up (my child had already drank almost all of it). I asked the waitress to check the expiration date and received an apology. They didn't even offer to get him a new cup of milk. Although we were about to leave when I discovered the milk was spoiled. On top of that, my son couldn't even get an edible bun for his hot dog. They gave him a bun that was rock hard. I could hit it on the table and it was like hitting a rock onto the table! When I asked for a new bun, my waitress informed me that was NOT possible because the bun my son had was the last one. Uhhh... what? Then, when I went to pay for it, I informed the cashier who I believe is related to the owners, he apologized... didn't offer to take the kids meal off or anything. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I am still gagging from the spoiled milk as I'm writing this! read more

I have been getting steak sandwich here for a couple of years, it was always good but now not so much!! They charge over 3$ for cheese and mushroom added. Now the price went up and steak is smaller dose not even fit bun! I think it was for breakfast, last time I got a ribeye and this time not sure what kind had a big piece of gristle I couldn't chew! Haven't been going there much lately and won't be going again. VERY UNHAPPY! read more
