Glass of Merlot. Loved the wine glass.

A great Friday night fish fry! We drove from Aurora, IL to meet 1956 high school friends at Ye Old Hotel. Impressed with a typical neighborhood sports bar. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Crazy busy, but still interact with a smile. The food arrived quickly, hot and delicious. Impressed with the price of wine and mixed drinks. In Illinois we almost pay that much for soft drinks!

    Brandy old fashion

Not much on the outside but once inside it's a nicer decor, friendly staff taking orders, fresh delicious "all you can eat fish" quick service and great drinks specials ( I recommend the "old fashion" ) overall a great dining experience...would go back again, and would recommend to everyone

It's your standard steak house vibes in terms of ambiance - classic decor with a lot of leather. They have lovely floor to ceiling windows overlooking the golf course and we were lucky enough to be seated right next to them so we had a view. There was a mix of dress wear, some people coming right from a round of golf and others more dressed up, it's definitely 'higher end' feel. Our waitress was lovely, very informative and patient when it came to food & wine selection (a really great wine menu!). We ordered Oyster Rockefeller, the steak special and the scallop meal. The Rockefellers were delicious, it's always one of my favorite things to order! The scallops were cooked nicely, but the dish overall was lacking some flavor. Thankfully it had the pancetta in in it which helped elevate the meal. The steak was cooked to perfection, very tender and flavorful. The convenience of the experience is what truly made the night for us, paired with the good wine & good food we would certainly eat here again when we stay on property.

One of the…read morereasons I'm giving it just 4 stars is that when I ordered my wagyu cowboy steak, they were out of it after I ordered it. However, the quick pivot to suggest a great accommodation without an extra charge was very commendable. I also enjoyed trying this place, but my steak was very bland and didn't quite live up to the chef's hype in my opinion. The chef, however, did wow my wife and kids. We've been to many top-notch restaurants, and it's hard to wow them, and that's another reason as to why I felt I should give this place 4 stars.

They're the one night a year you splurge a little, dress up, and expect the restaurant to hold up its end of the bargain. Hunt Club Steakhouse couldn't hold up its end of anything. My wife and I arrived to celebrate twelve years of marriage. We left counting the minutes until we could get out the door. From the jump, the evening felt like an afterthought. We were tucked into a small side room -- four tables, terrible acoustics, voices ricocheting off every wall. When I asked to be moved to the main dining room, the answer was no. Those tables, we were told, were reserved for larger parties. Except the main room was full of couples. Just not us. Then came the waiting. Drinks: ten minutes. Rolls and butter -- rolls and butter -- took over twenty. Our entrées took over an hour. Our waitress apologized a few times early on, which was appreciated -- but somewhere around the 45-minute mark, she stopped coming by altogether. Out of sight, out of accountability. Meanwhile, tables seated well after us received their full entrées and were eating through their meals before ours ever arrived. Not a quick turnaround -- significantly faster service, start to finish. When I finally voiced my frustration, a staff member stopped me mid-sentence, promised they'd let us enjoy the meal first and then address my concerns. What actually happened? The check arrived instead. Then every person in sight -- waitress, host, anyone -- vanished. We paid and walked out without a single acknowledgment. As for the food: the steaks were underwhelming -- poor cuts, little flavor, nothing that justified the price or the wait. The mac and cheese was decent, perfectly fine, forgettable. We added lobster only to find a small handful of pieces scattered across a plate meant for two or three people -- a genuinely insulting portion. The one bright spot? The Brussels sprouts. Genuinely delicious. Truly. I wish I could say the same about anything else. Hunt Club Steakhouse had one job on our anniversary: don't ruin it. Poor food, chaotic pacing, vanishing staff, and zero follow-through on their own promise to make it right. This is not a restaurant that respects its guests -- especially not on a night that actually matters.

It took over 30 minutes just to get drinks, and after sitting there for more than an hour and a half with no food, we finally asked to leave. Suddenly, and conveniently, our food came out the moment we said we were done waiting. It was cold, rushed, and clearly sitting somewhere for who knows how long. No apology. No explanation. No acknowledgment of the delays at any point. Being busy is not an excuse for ignoring guests. Valentine's Day is not a surprise on the calendar, yet this place was completely unprepared. If you can't handle a holiday crowd, don't take the reservations. Wasted time, wasted money, and a ruined evening. Do not recommend.

Meal delivered by door dash but no utensils were provided and the styrofoam packaging is not designed to be eaten on.potato was hard as a rock and tasted like it had been microwaved after being cooked earlier. The plastic fork I scrounged up actually broke. Very bland and no flavor to be found. Steank sandwich was also bland but very tough to eat too. I was very let down as I had been looking forward to a real good dinner after repeatedly eating hospital food for the last three months Please pay attention to delivery orders! Cut the sandwich in half so it's easier to handle and above all do not forget to provide utensils. And if youre going to keep your food so bland include salt and pepper at the least

We went to the bar after checking in to have a cocktail. We were rather rudely greeted by a punk rock looking bartender. He prepared our drinks and stood with his back to us even though there were only 3 other customers at the bar. I tried to chat him up and got another rude two word response. Not a good start. Dakota, our server, did a fine job greeting us and taking our orders. I started with a very tasty spinach with hot bacon dressing salad. I lived in Milwaukee as a kid and it reminded me of the great dinners at Maders. Excellent salad! Our hosts had a dinner salad and the squash soup. All tasty. My wife ordered the Chix Jonathon and I the Chix Marsala with extra Mushrooms. The Chix Jonathon was terrific. My marsala was a disappointment in that instead of a thicker gravy type sauce it was a broth. It was watery and not real flavorful. The side vegetables were terrific. Our hosts each had ribeyes and they loved them saying the best steaks in weeks. We finished with carrot cake and key lime pie. I have lived in Florida for 30yrs and the Keys for a large part of it. I think I know key lime pie. This was the real deal! Excellent! I thought the carrot cake was dry and not the greatest. Just ok. Tiffany , the owner, came by and thanked us as our dinner ended. Nice touch!
