We had the delight of trying the first night of Brew and Ole's new menu this week. Everything was delish! The new menu kept two dishes from the old menu (cheese curds and Vos Farms cheeseburger). All else is new - we were sad to see the Brussel sprouts gone :( We had the burrata app, strawberry salad, soup, and cheeseburger. The arugula sponge was fascinating! A lovely place to spend some time! We had a reservation for Friday night and our table was ready right away. Our friendly waiter took wonderful care of us. Drinks were expertly made. I had the sea-bass and my friends had the salmon and the burger. We all enjoyed our meals. TVs were preset without being distracting. Had all the local sports on. Prices were a little higher than I expected in a small town, but the quality and quantity were solid. I expect Brew & Ole's to continue to do very well! read more

During December, the place is decorated with greenery, string lights, and a low lighting creating a cozy atmosphere. It's located in the main part of town so you will need to find street parking. We ordered the house burger that came with chips and onion dip. The food was a good portion but the flavor left me desiring more. We both found the chips to be too salty, and the burger could have a little more flavor. read more

I really wanted to love this place and in fact had during my first two visits. My first two visits were phenomenal. The service was great. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was fantastic. My last two visits were horrible. It was in fact my last visit after trying to give this place another shot that put me over the edge. The entire table of five's food came out cold, including soup. Parts of people's meal included, stale clearly old bread, and the portion size for the price was poor. Had the food been amazing I would not have cared about the portion size, but unfortunately, the food was not good and the portion size not good. I would love this place to be consistent and I hope them the best of luck in the future but unfortunately, I will not be back unless I start seeing consistent performance. read more

First... food is good and service is excellent. But....food is very expensive compared to portions. Steak sandwich has a very thin piece of steak. Salmon can't be more than 4 oz. Halibut tacos appetizer at $19 only include two small tacos with a small piece of fish in each. This is a new menu for them and everything tastes pretty good just be prepared. We spent over $100 for one app, two meals and two N/A beers and left still hungry. The restaurant looks great and is clean and inviting. read more

Being in the heart of downtown, there is limited street parking. The style is warm industrial and the low lighting created a warm and cozy feel. Christmas decorations were well-appointed and added just the right touch. I felt the menu was somewhat limited in its offerings. I had the fish tacos that came with homemade chips and onion dip. Chips and dip were wonderful, but the fish tacos could have had more flavor. The lounge is small, but a great addition to the gastropub to sit and chill. I started seeing reviews for this place and thought I'd go check it out. This place was very easy to find, gps took us right there. There was plenty of 2 hour street parking and there is two public lots within a short walking distance. We were seated at a booth right away and ordered some drinks. When the waiter came back, he told us about the specials of the day. In addition to the ribeye sandwich that they have on the regular menu, they also has a ny strip sandwich. Sandwiches come with house chips, fries, sweet potato fries or truffle fries. All in all, it was a very good lunch. Sorry I didnt get any pics of the food. OK, it's a Friday night, and I understand it's very busy, but I've been waiting for at least 20 minutes. I ordered a wing appetizer, and a Cobb salad, and it still has not arrived. Usually, you have really good service here. The bartenders are fine. I think that they are understaffed, and overworked.. I will give them the benefit of the doubt, and say they are doing the best they can. I still think I'm going to take one star away. Please don't make me regret my review. read more

Utter disappointment and overpriced. Menu said 4 chicken tenders, only received 3 and was told that was an error on the menu. Never got the 4th. Would never have ordered that if I knew I'd be shorted one for $16. Seasons fries were plain and not seasoned too. Weak and lackluster tap list with poor variety and nothing special. My husband ordered the Signature Burger, and I went with the fish tacos. Both dishes were perfection. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right, while the tacos were fresh, vibrant, and unforgettable. To top it off, Renee one of the chef, personally came out to check on us. We do love the vibe of this restaurant and while there has been some service/food issues we've given it some time and returned. Experience with food and service has been better. Unfortunately they have a guy singing on some weekends and it's so loud. If you're seated right by him good luck hearing anything. What a great night out celebrating my daughter's birthday with the family at Brew & Ole's. A cool vibe in the quaint downtown of Burlington, WI that I would highly recommend! An extensive cocktail list and we settled on the Spicy Margarita and Dirty Martini, both perfectly crafted! Our table started out with truffle fries and the pretzel bites + bratwurst, both big hits! For dinner I had the special... shrimp skewers with vegetables + quinoa (yum) while my hubby enjoyed the loaded grilled cheese! We were very happy with our choices! We were very pleasantly surprised - outstanding mixed drink, food, and dessert quality in a casual but comfortable gastropub environment with good service in a small town Main Street setting! Ok, so let me explain why one star. First off the service was fine. And the atmosphere is nice. But the food is poor. We ordered 2 rib eye steak sandwiches. We thought it would be just that a piece of steak instead it was chunks and strips of over grilled chewy , with gristle meat on a soggy bun. I would not recommend this sandwich. Certainly not worth the price. read more

New place in Burlington, beautiful interior with very tasteful lighting, wood etc. Staff very friendly and fun. Cocktail menu really interesting so we'd like to come back and try some more. Happy hour drink specials nice. Food: I had ribeye sandwich which was very good, didn't upgrade to fries but homemade chips and dip was a nice change. Hubby had Mac and cheese- a very generous portion with good flavor. They could use a sign on the building (on hwy 36 side). We're looking forward to going back soon. The atmosphere is amazing! The food options are so much better than the last 2 places prior. Staff was great! Food was delicious but my chicken was raw, so look before you eat. Once I told them about it, it took 20 minutes for me to get my Cobb salad with chicken back and they only took off the $3 dollars for the chicken not even my whole salad. read more
