Come on... this place used to be good... but i am sorry, I will pass on buying from them again. Baked empanadas were all burned up at the bottom and cold, yuca rellena was super cold, tequeno was not well cooked and cold, and the cheese inside the tequeno was a hard stick, croquetas were cold but kind of ok... I was starving and even starving nothing taste good. And they have been raising the prices OMG! I wouldn't mind to pay higher prices for good quality food! But this is not the case! Gave this place a try since it was nearby and although their pastries (pastelitos) were delicious, their customer service was horrible. The girl was attending at least 3 customers including myself at once, causing a mess up in our order. This was in the afternoon, not morning (which is their busiest) so there was no excuse. There was no need to attend all 3 clients at once when we were the only ones in line. There was a man who walked in, seemed to be a regular, and as I was placing my order, she turns her attention towards him mid-sentence! They were very friendly towards each other, which I imagine is why she was rude enough to stop attending me to cater to his attention. I usually love Pinecrest Bakery but this one is just terrible. They water down the orange juice! I got home and you can clearly see where the juice and water separate. I shook the juice thinking it was normal and it was disgusting. No other bakery in Miami that I've been to does that. Does the cost of losing customers really outweigh the few cents they save by adding water? It's just gross to me. Makes me wonder what else are they skimping people out on. What a ripoff read more

I don't have much to compare this too as the Hispanic bakery foods are new to me. I enjoyed the guava and the coconut pastries. I ordered the house fish croquette which was deep fried fresh. I liked that the outside was hot and crispy and the inside was so gooey. It was like fish took over a mozzarella stick. My friend had two empanadas and really liked the ham and cheese combination but she asked for them heated up more and they said no? We were baffled by this one. Incredibly disappointed with their service. I ordered a package for 50-60 people, patelitos and a cake, a week in advance. When I went to pick up the order the night before the party they told me there was a problem with order, they mistakenly made a cake for 25, not 50 ppl. Seriously. She said it like it was nothing. They did offer me to take an additional cake from the display but none really looked appetizing to me at the time nor were they appropriate for a kid's birthday. I had an appointment at 2pm right down the street and had heard about this place (should've read reviews first) so at 1:15 I ordered a sandwich.....not a plate, a sandwich. At 1:40 I asked to cancel the order. The woman insisted it wouldn't take much longer, when I asked for an estimate she said "un poquito", which is of course, not an estimate. I eventually asked for it to go and had only a bite before having to toss is because the chicken was nearly raw. I am a long time Pinecrest bakery customer since the first one opened up I followed and believed in this awesome little bakery. However, I have visited this location by my house and it's definitely not the same experience from the customer service down to the food. It doesn't taste the same I ordered two sandwiches. To open and find huge block of cold cheese (on a HOT sandwich) and an exaggerated amount of mayo. The ladies working seemed nice but to get there attention to fix the order was nearly impossible because they were so busy talking to each other about non work related topics. I asked for a fried item to my cashier, another cashier came and said say no we aren't frying that right now...did I just hear that? I rather have heard it not be available than someone telling me they can't make an item available because they don't feel like cooking it. I am in the business so if it was busy I would understand. As a paying customer I don't need to listen to the gossip of the cashiers and then be told I can't have another item or my food can't be fixed cause they clearly don't see what the discrepancy between my actual order and what I received. I will be letting my customers and friends know about my poor experience. Pinecrest Bakery check into this location. You'd be dissatisfied and upset to spend your hard earned money on a bad experience. Have a great day but if anyone reads this drive to the one on bird and 67 or the locations on us 1 your food won't touch your hand if it's not perfect. They do their best to ignore customers, and when i spoke in English to them they responded in Spanish (Im American living in America, learn the language people). I understand this is a cuban restaurant but if someone starts off a conversation in English, then that should hint you enough that that is the language to go with.
