classic diner food but wasn't a huge fan of their pancakes too starchy& rubbery. The service was super & fast plus I love the ambiance there. I will try some other items next time.

It was fine... crab cakes were good but mainly filler, very little crab. The hash browns were fine but like mashed potatoes inside, a bit under cooked. I also wasn't made aware that there was a 3% credit card charge- I would have paid cash or used my debit card otherwise. Waitress was very nice but I'm not fond of staff bringing the check when I'm never asked how everything is or if I would like anything else... a missed opportunity to bring in more revenue for the business

This is a basic diner next to an auto repair shop. Parking is a bit difficult as the lot is small and street parking seems to be taken by the repair shop. They were rather busy when I went. Luckily, there was a seat at the counter or I'd have had to wait. The waitress took my drink order, though it was a bit before she got back to me and I hadn't been given a menu, nor a setup, so couldn't stir the sugar in my coffee. I had bacon and eggs with hashbrowns. Everything was cooked well and came out fairly quickly once my order was place. Forgot to take pictures of the food. Next time.

I have been going to breakfast here for close to 4 years. The staff here is just the best. The food is amazing and the pricing is reasonable. If you are in the area you should drop in for breakfast or lunch.

When you're looking for something quick and simple, Piner Cafe is the spot to go. With smiling faces from the staff to speedy service, we loved the food and decor on the walls. There were people who were getting to go orders and they were taken care of quickly as well. This was a great experience to start my morning with my wife before heading into work.

Service was great, ambiance was classic breakfast/ diner vibes, food was very meh for me unfortunately. Just did not hit the spot. I decided to check out Piner Cafe on a random Sunday before moving. Parking was easy as they have a lot in the back and street parking. When we entered we were told to pick a table. It was around 9am and they had plenty of seating available at this time. They instantly started us off with drinks, I just ordered a water and my partner got a coffee. I also ordered a vegetarian omelette and a single pancake. My partner got two scrambled eggs with bacon and English muffin. Food came out pretty quick. My single pancake was huge, definitely a big fluffy treat there. However, I wasn't impressed with my omelette. The menu didn't exactly explain what was in the vegetarian omelette. Perhaps it was my bad for not asking, but I wasn't expecting broccoli, cauliflower, and mushrooms laid on the side. Wasn't my favorite combination in an omelette, and no cheese. :( Not a good first impression, but perhaps I'll come back to try something else since it's so close to my new house.

Finally, made it to Piner Cafe! This place is usually busy but we were able to get a table on arrival. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. Had the chorizo omelette that was served with country potatoes and toast. Inside is clean and has sort of a hometown vibe. Service was fast and friendly. Price seemed on point and left quite full. They do charge a 3% fee for credit card use so bring cash if you prefer to save a minimal fee.

This is a greasy spoon style diner and we loved it so much we went two days in a row. The restaurant itself is old building that is definitely in need of a remodel but that had no impact of the yummy food and exceptional service. This place is a solid 5 stars and I can't wait to go back.

I love this place for breakfast! It's one of my regular spots. Food is always great - consistent. Love their coffee! They are always busy! Have yet to try anything on their lunch menu. The chicken fried steak with extra crispy potatoes is my favorite!

Can't have breakfast without a mimosa to wash it down!

The morning after attending a wine tasting event and enjoying a bottle of wine later that evening, my wife and I needed a hearty breakfast to soak up the alcohol. After doing a quick "around me" Yelp search, I found the Piner Cafe. The cafe had stellar reviews and the food looked delicious, so we were excited for what was to come. Upon arrival we were greeted by a small line at the front entrance. A friendly employee encouraged us to add our names to the wait list and informed us that the wait was 25 minutes. Roughly 15 minutes later we were being summoned by an employee (unfortunately I did not get her name) who seated us. She quickly provided us with water and menus. I ordered the eggs Benedict and a mimosa. Less than 20 minutes later our food arrived at the table looking as delicious as they did on Yelp. Our food not only looked the part, but tasted the part as well. It was so good that I made sure that I took time to savor each bite. Our server did a great job of attending to us without hovering. I have to mention the unique and much appreciated style of how they serve a mimosa. Instead of mixing the orange juice and sparkling wine for you, they give you a flute with a small portion of orange juice (perfect for folks like myself that prefer a higher percentage of sparkling wine vs. orange juice). We both enjoyed our meals and will definitely make a return visit whenever we're in the area. If you're looking for a good customer service experience and scrumptious food, I highly recommend Piner Cafe.

Great local diner with down home simple but flavorful breakfast options. The indoor seating area is small but cozy. Not a lot of room for large parties. I enjoyed the traditional diner feel. The food service was very quick and the wait staff was super friendly. A very down home place. I had the chorizo scramble, nice portion of eggs and chorizo to go along with the a perfectly cooked hash brown and toast! My wife had the stuffed French Toast with fruit. I had a taste, they were amazing!

With all of the options around it is sometimes hard to pick a place to go on a Saturday morning. Jeffrey's is a charming, family friendly establishment that is attached to a small inn off Highway 12. Other inside is pretty small, but they do have some outdoor tables. The interior has some lovely art on the walls as well as positive phrases making you feel like you're home. The service is also great here, and I feel like I've seen the same folks working here for many years. My wife and I ordered two different Hashes to share. The Brussel Sprouts and Bacon Hash is fantastic, which has this blue cheese aioli that gives the dish so much flavor. The Brussel sprouts seem like they're steamed and then tossed in the hash with sautéed diced onions, bell peppers and bacon. The aioli is on the side, but just adding a little bit to each bite gives it so much extra. We also ordered the special of the day which was a Smoked Chicken and Butternut Squash Hash. It has some of the same elements of sautéed onions and bell peppers, but this was served with a cilantro aioli. This dish, while not as amazing at the other Hash, was still really good. My daughter ordered the Buttermilk pancakes (added blueberries to them) with sausage and eggs. She certainly enjoyed them!

Food: Needs work. Ordered the Eggs Benedict. The poached eggs were on point. Absolutely perfect. The champagne hollandaise was a fun twist but couldn't save the meal. The English muffin might have been hard track. It was paper thin and I had to saw through it. Ham had no flavor at all. I don't think it was ham. Maybe thin sliced and unseasoned pork but not ham. Worst part was the county potatoes. They came out slightly above room temperature and hard. They're parboiled then flash fried. Not a bad way to get crisp but I can only assume they do this ahead of the rush and then they sit in a container to be served. My wife ordered her's extra crispy and they come out much better. Coffee smelled and tasted like an ashtray. Overall, I wanted to like this place and the service itself is amazing, but the back of the house needs some work.

We ordered multiple dishes on the menu and the worst was by far the bone marrow which we were very excited to try, should've known what to expect when they served it with ranch seasoned saltines, bone marrow is already so fatty and rich it doesn't need much for it to shine, adding andouille and onion jam was doing way too much. The saving grace of the night was the edamame appetizer (which was still a tad over cooked), sticky rice, which was not sticky by the way (jasmine rice) and the steak that was cooked to a perfect medium rare. We were surprised by the lemon / tangy flavor in the artichoke dip but really enjoyed it! We LOVED the mussels--this was a generous serving, and this was a great combination with the broth and sausage. The tagliatelle was clearly homemade and fresh, and the sauce was flavorful but light; the only thing I would change is the amount of peas / pea flavor. The chicken skin was perfectly crispy! Lastly, the bread pudding was literally baked fresh to the point where we almost couldn't order it. The staff told us it would be a bit of a wait, but when it took a little longer than expected, they continued to check in on us and whether we still wanted to wait. It was definitely worth it! My hope was that the place had returned to the portions and quality of when they first opened, which were proportionate to the cost. Unfortunately, it has declined even further since the octopus incident. We ordered the baby pancake and the burger. The portions were spectacularly small for the pricepoint, and everything tasted underwhelming. The baby pancake was more of an over done, miniscule crepe, and the medium rare burger we ordered was well done, dry, and tiny. There is a process of waiting outside and ordering, which is confusing, unwelcoming, and downright strange. There is a reason that no other restaurants do this. Please knock it off. Their refillable coffee is excellent, i forget the brand but a gourmet French roast tasting option. Usually i get because it is so good.
