This one was hard to review. I wanted to give 3 and a half stars. We were in this strip of…read morebusinesses for an afternoon show at CM theater. Starving when we got out, the pizza smelled great from outside the doors, so in we went. Five tables inside a small old school looking pizza place. Four of them occupied on a Saturday around 5:30pm. Went to the counter, 2 girls behind the counter, one gentleman making pizza. No one acknowledged my presence when looking in the case full of decent looking pizza. I asked if I could please have 2 regular slices, a pepperoni slice and a grandma slice. I didn't see any fountain drinks so I picked a can of soda out of the case. The young girl put the pizza in the oven and another girl brought all of the pizza to the table on a tray. We got our own plastic utensils and there was salt, pepper, garlic powder, cheese and napkins on each table. The regular cheese pizza was great! Cheese to sauce ratio was perfect. Crispy on the bottom, soft and chewy on the inside. Hot and a tad bit greasy. The size of the slices were different though. One was big and one was small. The pepperoni slice was weird. You would think it was a regular cheese slice with pepperoni on top. But it wasn't anything like the other cheese slices. It was thicker with a lot more cheese and a lot less sauce. The pepperoni was the best part. I don't know what was going on with this slice. There was a plastic squeeze bottle of honey on the counter, but I didn't use it. It just said "honey". (Not Hot) Lastly, the grandma slice was super fresh. Corner slice with a flavorful sauce. A hint of garlic without obvious chunks and the cheese to sauce ratio was on point. However, it was cold! Not luke warm, cold! I don't know why or how it came to the table this way. We didn't have time to wait again for it to be warmed up. It's a shame, it would have been so much better if it was hot. Oh and the can of soda was warm. Cold can, war soda. Whaaat!? We weren't asked to pay before sitting down. I guess it was the honor system until we finished eating? Regardless, we cleaned the table and went to the counter to pay. I was the first person on the line and the same girl who took my order played with the register for about 2 minutes after I told her I'd like to pay. She scrolled and scrolled and then said "would you mind waiting a few minutes?" and proceeded to help the next customer with a pick up order. I was pushed off to the side but didn't leave her sight because we had to go. She looked at me again and asked "what did you order again?" I get it. It was 15 minutes ago and we didn't pay right away, but you could have said 5 minutes ago that you didn't recall what we had instead of pushing me to the side to help someone else. It just didn't sit right with me. So after I told her what we ordered, she asked me a second time as she fumbled with the register! I told her again and I asked her for a receipt. She told me a "cash total". Hmmm, I thought we weren't doing that any longer in NY without signage. I had the cash and handed it to her. She gave me the change but no receipt. I had to ask for that again as well. So again, this was a tough one to review. It was our first time. The food was hit or miss. There was no customer service (with the exception of the girl who brought the tray of food over to the table). No thank you for coming or have a nice day. Would we go back? Yes, if in that strip of stores. Otherwise, we would keep driving down the road until we hit The Pizzeria in Bayport. No food pics as we were in a rush.

The young woman behind the counter was not friendly at all and it felt like she was annoyed that we were there. I also don't understand how an eating establishment does not have a bathroom for customers to use.... Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience.

I'm from Europe and being used to authentic Italian pizza I'm always skeptical when it comes to getting pizza expecting American pizza which I do not like at all. My colleagues were not too crazy about it and I ended up taking the leftovers home bc I was the only one who did. But I for one loved the pizza, primarily the crust. It was crispy, thin, charred on the bottom to the point it was black on some areas. Granted it might've been burnt on their side (we ordered a half and half pizza). My half was the Hawaiian (I know, pineapple right? But it can work when done right) The toppings were a tiny bit bland and they substituted the prosciutto for bacon so totally different experience and slightly disappointing. Also the pineapple chunks were nice and small but could've been spread out a little better as there were a few clusters and the rest was bare. All in all I liked the pizza more than any other pizza I've had in the past bc it was the closest to authentic Italian one had. It could've been better had it been prepared with the original toppings (prosciutto) and the tomatoes been seasoned. I can't speak for price, service or ambiance because our supervisor ordered dinner for us but the driver definitely needs to improve his people skills.

If you're like me, but live in Suffolk County, Metro on Main is on my personal Top 3 Picks! Their GF crust is made from cauliflower and is imported from Italy-how can you beat that?! I ordered one with pepperoni and basil leaves, and it was phenomenal! The price was also very reasonable and under $20, including a Hals Seltzer. I'm very impressed, so impressed that I crave this pizza! Too bad Uber Eats can't deliver it to me here in Brooklyn. XD: When I'm out in the 631 area, I'll be back! Next time, I'll be grabbing a whole grandma pie to share with family. I had a quick chat with Danny, who was super welcoming and friendly--great energy. What makes this place really unique is the setup: the front is a full-service sit-down restaurant, and in the back, there's a dedicated pizza counter where you can grab a slice to stay or take out. It's a smart and convenient concept. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area or passing through!

All I have to say is wow! My boyfriend and I ordered off UberEats and learned that even though they are on the platform, they do their own deliveries. Our delivery driver (3/28/25 at around 8pm) was great. If the owner/manager is reading this review, please let your driver know! He got a little lost in our development. He called and I guided him. He wasn't frustrated (or didn't appear to be!) and was kind. He also thanked me for tipping. He handled our food with care. He gets 5 stars alone! Now on to the food. It was so delicious generous portions. Could easily make 2-3 meals out of it. My boyfriend ordered Pasta Purses which came in a red pepper cream sauce. Of course I tried a bite and it was very good. I really liked the sauce! It was unique and something I've never had before. I ordered chicken alla vodka which came with my choice of pasta. It was delicious as well. Vodka sauce was very good! It came with 4 pieces of chicken! My boyfriend and I agreed that next time we would definitely dine-in! 10+/5 stars!

The weird thing is that they have an area with specialty pizzas setup behind where the staff are standing so you can't even see the pizza you are buying up-close. So, we took the risk. The slices were served hot, but it ends there. The chicken francese slice was so terrible. It was like a glob of chicken substances with heavy cream sauce under a cheese of some sort, which tasted nothing like real francese sauce. It was like eating flavorless creamy boiled chicken and cheese. A couple bites, and I threw the rest in the trash with what I wanted to be a slam dunk. Times like these I choose to forget. The other slice was nothing worth mentioning. Edible maybe, but nothing special. Such a disappointment. I just don't see how this place even stays in business because the competition out there is real. Thumbs Down, go somewhere else.
