AMAZING. I came for a hem on my new jeans. They did it for half the price that the store (Levi's) was offering. I wanted the original hem, and that's what I got. I think it took about a week. The process was really simple. When I came in the first time, they weren't busy so I went to the fitting room and got measured right away. I have been having pants hemmed at numerous tailor shops, but no one ever noticed that my one side was a half inch longer than the other side. I came in with 3 pairs of pants that I thought needed to be hemmed. When I tried on 1 of the pairs, it had already been hemmed by another tailor. She noticed that one side was longer than the other side. She had me take off my shoes, and she said that the tailor should have measured both sides. She stated that from now on, I should ask the tailor to measure both sides because my one side is a half inch longer than the other. She corrected the one pair that was done by another tailor. I'll be going back to see how the pants fit after she completes the alterations. read more

Ping is excellent at what she does and very patient and kind as well. I brought in my bridesmaids dress and some pants that need hemming. Her shop is in a plaza with other businesses and there is always plenty of parking. The dress was a little complicated but she helped me figure out a way to tie the back where we wouldn't need to alter the top part to fit. She has a small room you can use to try your clothes on. She very carefully pinned the bottom of the dress to my desired length. The pants I had already pre-measured myself at home so I didn't need to try them on for her. Total came out to $45 for hemming both the bridesmaids dress and the pants. I was pleasantly surprised, as the other bridesmaids got their dresses tailored for almost double the price. She takes cash either when you drop off or pick up. Both pieces were done in a week, as she will be closed mid-March thru mid-April to visit her family. I called ahead to confirm. When I came in to pick them up, I tried on both the dress and pants. She did an excellent job, no loose seams, couldn't even tell that they were hemmed. Finding a great place for alterations is like panning for gold. Luckily for you, Ping's Alteration is beyond amazing, and I can't imagine going anywhere else now that I've found her! I scurried in on a Friday, two weeks before my best friend's wedding, to get my bridesmaid dress hemmed. Ping had 2 customers ahead of me, so I sat on a comfy little bench to wait. Ping is extraordinarily precise and dedicated to making sure each customer is happy (I got to observe her helping another customer with blazer sleeves she wanted adjusted and a shirt for an overseas trip). When it was my turn, Ping had me try on my bridesmaid dress with the heels I'd be wearing to ensure she got the hem right. We were doing an ankle length, and she pinned the dress three times to adjust it to the perfect length for me. I was worried two weeks wasn't enough time, but Ping assured me they could have it ready in one week! I returned the following Friday to pick up the dress (cash only), and perfect doesn't begin to cover the job they did. The hem was flawless and the fabric was cut so beautifully--it looked like that was how the dress was meant to be all along. I'm 5'2", so she had about 8" of excess fabric to deal with lol. I couldn't be more appreciative for Ping's patience and kindness! This was the best experience ever, and that's with some self-conscious COVID weight gain. I had a dress that I ordered online and never had a chance to wear because the first time I put it on, the zipper caught and wouldn't budge! I brought it to Pings after reading a lot of Yelp reviews. The moment I handed the dress to Ping, I knew this lady knew what she was doing. She had a lot of questions about how the zipper got stuck and what I had tried doing to get it unstuck. As I stood there, she expressed a lot of curiosity about the mechanics of the zipper's lack of functionality and told me that she wanted to determine if the zipper actually did work but simply got sewn on incorrectly or if she needed to replace it entirely. After a few minutes she determined the zipper was of poor quality and didn't function at all so she would need to replace it. She told me to come back in a week. When I got the dress back, she had replaced it with a much nicer zipper and I can now wear the dress! Her work was much better than a different tailor I took a pair of pants to and it cost me $5 less! I'm definitely coming back to Pings for all my future tailoring needs! read more
