I LOVE-LOVE- Pinkbery! Ever since the froyo craze I've been a pinkberry customer. I've tried lots of different froyo shops but pinkberry is by far my favorite. The fruit selection is always top notch! Regardless of the season all their fruits toppings are ripe and ready for consumption. Plus I like the fact that someone designs my froyo creation. Remember when Pinkberry was the new kid on the block that everybody wanted to play with... long lines, chic minimalist décor, and word of mouth popularity that spread like a wild California brush fire... Times they are a changing. With the rise of viable competition in the form of Yogurtland and other comparable contenders, Pinkberry is scrambling to keep up with its competitors. They have started by filling that ever-present hole in the center of the cup that used to be empty and are also planning to launch a new chocolate flavor next week, but this is still not enough. Healthy competition is always good for the consumer, as it forces powerful yogurt chains to adapt to the wants and needs of its customers. Pinkberry has eliminated charging for extra toppings and now allows unlimited mix-ins at no extra cost. They have also introduced new toppings such as coconut macaroons, chocolate crispies, and have two flavors of granola. Free honey or matcha powder is also available upon request. All this extra effort is too little too late. Pinkberry still insists on charging an extra $1.00 for their seasonal pomegranate, passionfruit, and coconut flavors. Not a smart move, as their competitors charge a flat rate for any flavor of your choice and allows you to pay for the amount you want by implementing a DIY pay by the weight system. PB remains a consistent, refreshingly tasty, and somewhat healthy way to appease the post-meal dessert cravings. But at the end of the day, it is too expensive and is not doing enough to compete. I had to up it one star, because of my new favorite topping, the deluxe milk chocolate crunch. OMG. It's like crack to me, and I don't even really like chocolate all that much. But I do love crunchies and this is crunchalicious. I was wary of mixing sour with sweet chocolate, but it works great. So I get a small original for $2.50, add one scoop of the deluxe topping for 50 cents and voila, a delicious treat for $3! It's a deal for Pinkberry. And during happy hour, it's 50% off! Even better. Also, this PInkberry Torrance location has my favorite guy. I'll have to look more closely for his name next time, but he's on top of everything. He's always kind of red in the face probably because he's always so helpful with his team and with the customers. But he's super pleasant and super generous, and is always in a good mood, even when the line's out the door. Yay for good customer service! read more

This Pink Berry is just like every other Pink Berry, but the staff here are extra awesomely nice. I was here several times during my stay in Torrance and always was greeted and treated with a smile. Other than that, there's not much to say, it's over-priced FroYo, but the cool designs in the stores and the continuity of freshness and taste throughout the PB enterprise make it worth going to. ok so this is my first try at Pinkberry tonight, I was gonna go to Jamba Juice but I said i'd give this a try since people keep talking about it. So my decision was either the yogurt or the smoothie so i went with the original smoothie, it was ok i think that is the only thing i'll get next time i'll try the green tea smoothie. I sing the chorus in my head from the moment I walk into the store until I finish the last bite of my delicious frozen yogurt. "P-I-N, K-B-E, R-R-Y, PINKBERRY~!" I've been going to this location for as long as I can remember, and no other Pinkberry can beat this place's service. Always so nice and accommodating, even with my bazillion request for various toppings. Yogurtland is across the street but you just can't beat the original tart - it's just not the same. I love this Pinkberry. For some reason there yogurt tastes the best . And I am so happy they opened one in Torrance!!! Before if I wanted yogurt I would go to Frozen Monkey (closed down now) or get it when I went to visit my mom at her work in L.A...Now its near by. yay. The only thing I don't like is sometimes it super b-z...The line goes out the door and you have to wait like 5-10 mins!. Oooh and I love the new flavor Coconut! Yum. It's a little creamier with a hint of coconut. NOt bad. Next I have to try there passion fruit, and parfait. Also they have a green tea powder you can add on top of your yogurt. Mmmmm pinkberry. Love the original with blackberrys and raspberrys. The green tea flavor was okay, but sort of tasted clay like to me.--not that i know what clay tastes like... Have not tried the pomegranate, they offer a nice size sample. Would not suggest you get the white chocolate, or prolly the regular chocolate topping either, my dad got it and let me try it and it was a waste of a topping. sort of wax like and no flavor. I suggest looking at the toppings before you get in that line that will most likely be long, but not too bad if you get there at the right time. read more

Okay this was my first time at Pinkberry. So I was not familiar of how things worked. I just jumped in line and followed the lead of others in front of me LoL I went with a mini which literally was a mini for about $3.50 (pricey) I read the menu and went with mango or peach I think. I do like that you can add as many toppings but THEY add them not me ;( I am a bit picking on the way on what the toppings placed. Store was really clean and organized. The staff was nice and offered me a sample of any flavor. I guess it helps to keep the topping nice and neat if the customers are not the ones adding them to there yogurt. But overall it was good- I liked it. But I am so used to added my own things to my own cup. I got a little cup full verse what I normally get a good size cup for the same price and I did not even get to put in together the way I like. I would go back if I was in the plaza and really craving frozen yogurt but besides that I am not so sure even know it was good. It's just not mine style but you can try it out. Pinkberry used to be my enemy. Maybe just a year and a half ago, I went to Pinkberry for the first time. I found their yogurt sour (original flavour) but the texture was excellent. Though the price was pretty expensive and with limited choices and toppings, I said nah.. I thought this is just yogurt made frozen, why pay a premium price for this? After that experience, I became good friends with Yogurtland because we were both cheap. Fast forward to today, I went to this Pinkberry location because it's been a while since I last visited. Surprisingly, they now have a lot of selections. I ordered mango flavour and I asked the lady how much per topping and she said "as long they fit in your cup, they're free." I was like really? They don't charge anything for toppings! That was the wow factor for me. The texture is still the same which is very solid and smooth. I can say this is now the number 1 pound-for-pound best frozen yogurt. Good job Mr. Pinkberry. read more

Although Yogurtland will always have a part of my heart, I still go back to the place that started it all (or so i think...) for quite a few reasons. Firstly, the frozen yogurt flavors they offer are always "hit" and never "miss". They do their research well, and it shows everytime they come out with a single seasonal flavor or everytime they permanantly add a flavor to their slowly expanding menu. Secondly, they've evolved to remain in contention with the plethora of self-serve yogurt establishments, without sacrificing the quality or principle of their service . This include the addition of more flavors, and toppings that are limited only to the amount they can stack onto your yogurt for you. i kid you not, one time i went to pinkberry, after taking a seat and finishing up my froyo, the guy behind the counter took cups and a water pitcher around the store, asking each person whether they wanted a cup of water. Thirdly, they have finer toppings that you can't currently find elsewhere (e.g. yogurtland, any other place i've been to). my favorites include the dark chocolate crisps and the honey roasted sunflower seeds. they pulled a salty/sweet thing like chex mix did, and they succeeded with flying colors. This is in addition to their 2 "premium toppings", which cost 50 cents extra for each, which they claim is imported from france or italy or some other european country of culinary aptitude. These are three HUGE reasons why i still like to visit pinkberry when i come home, even though yogurtland is convenient and more than 50% cheaper and expanding at an unbelievable rate. so please, if you've been to yogurtland, and think pinkberry is just stuck up and expensive, i urge you to think again and try it sometime! read more

Fruit toppings will not have consistent tastes, but that's obvious because it really depends on the season. You don't have to serve yourself here. Just get in line, tell them what you want, pay, and enjoy your froyo! You will leave with a smile across your face :) One of the employees remembered me and that really made my night. read more

I've tried a TON of froyo places--so many that they all seem to be pretty much the same--you get what yogurt you want, you put on the toppings, you get it weighed, wohoo. But, Pinkberry is a little different: it's not self serve, nor is it by the ounce. Don't be alarmed if you think that sounds expensive (yes, it is, compared to the 30 cents per ounce at Yogurtland)! Somehow, having someone else make your froyo actually makes it taste better! They now offer unlimited toppings & the server at this particular location was super generous with the amount of each topping & I was also really pleased with the beautiful structure of the froyo swirl that he was able to make for each of our orders :) Although they don't have AS MANY yogurt flavors, I think it's the quality & not quantity that matters. I mean, how many people get cake batter, red velvet or cookies & cream flavored froyo anyway? Furthermore, they also have a few unique toppings not found at any other froyo store: yogurt chips, honey roasted sunflower seeds, waffle crisps. So if you've also been numbed by the overwhelming number of identical froyo places, I would highly recommend trying Pinkberry before you dismiss it as "just another froyo store" read more

I love me some Pinkberry. This location is nice, and has friendly staff. There is a nice fountain outside that creates a good ambience. It is a popular and crowded location. I like this location, but I think the El Segundo one is my number one favorite Pinkberry in the South Bay, since it has a nice fountain and seating area outside. read more

A decidedly different vibe than the Sawtelle Pinkberry I usually end up at (Torrance = teenagers, Sawtelle = college students and old people like myself), but the yogurt is up to the usual Pinkberry par. Also, parking is much easier here than on Sawtelle. Additionally, parking is free! YAY! The first time I went here, the mochi was not very good. They were too mushy and kind of soggy (?!), but when I returned last night, the mochi was much better. The fruit was good both times. Mmm, Pinkberry. I've heard too much about this place to not try it when I went down for the CAL vs. UCLA game... They had...Passionfruit...definitely a MUST TRY. I really like passion fruit, if you cant tell already BUT it was SIMPLY D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S :))))) It was tart but good. Some of the CONS: - To alleviate the wait from the door, there's cashiers who take your order...and you wait another good 5 minutes before they actually make your order (since nowadays most yogurt places are very do it yourselves) - The small froyo I got with toppings ONLY CAME WITH A CHOICE OF 2 TOPPINGS :[ which made me had to choose between all these fruits + mochi (definitely must have in froyo) - Price: Bit pricey especially since their portions + selection of toppings are limited to only 2 for the small size)...big disappointment Definitely good yogurt, but price and availability to me EHHHH...Not sure if I'll even get a chance to come back. read more
