This is the place to get food with some passion behind it, and a smile! The place inside is clean and modern looking. There aren't too many places to sit down, but I've just gotten takeout so far. The grass fed burger and fried chicken are winners, as well as the mac and cheese, french fries, and potato salad. The rib tip sandwich wasn't quite as good, but that's just because the others were phenomenal. But the best part about this place is the smile on everyone's faces and the friendly greetings from all of the staff. The people here are really friendly, but I wasn't impressed by their breakfast. My eggs were over cooked, and my biscuit was cold and tasted like it came from a grocery store freezer aisle. Their lunch sandwich prices seemed very high. I'm going to give them another shot though. read more

Oh my deliciousness! We just finished eating at Pinky's Eatery for the first time and the food is drool-worthy! Definitely worth a review. I ordered ribs with a side of Mac and cheese and candied yams. My husband had the smothered pork chops and the mix of spices and gravy were out of this world! The meal came with a square of cornbread that was flaky buttery cornbread goodness. The ribs I had a sweet and smoky sauce that is out of this world! This place has been open since last August, but yesterday is the first time I've been there. I never leave Yelp reviews, but I had to for Pinky's because it is so good! We had then fried fish (catfish) entree, the smoked BBQ ribs entree, and candied yams, Mac and cheese, and collards and cabbage for sides. I've had fried catfish all over the south, and this is the best I've ever had. Seriously, the flavor was amazing and the fish was moist and flaky. The ribs were also very good, and better than anything you'll get around here. The collards have some kind of vinegar base, which is really good, and the candied yams (candied ginger maybe) were seriously addictive. The Mac and cheese was fine but not transcendent like the other options. Check it out everyone! read more

My wife suggested we try this restaurant last Saturday. I am normally leery about letting her choose where I eat, as she's a McDonalds kinda gal. For the first time ever, we both agreed...WOW! I had the Pecan Smoked Ribs, collards and sweet potato casserole, and she had a crabcake sandwich and potato salad. The greens were superb! The best I've ever had. The sweet potato casserole was excellent, and reminded me of Thanksgiving at my mom's house, and the ribs were so good that I refused to wash my hands until the smoke smell was gone. My wife was equally impressed with her crabcake and potato salad, and this is a very picky woman. We found our new favorite restaurant, and I can guarantee that Pinky employees will become accustomed to seeing our faces. read more

New to the Dunkirk area and searched for food places. Decided to try this spot because of the reviews. I was not disappointed. I had the fried chicken and the roasted chicken. I must be the only one that thinks the food was salty with no flavor . This place is also expensive for a 'fast food' type place- I spent over 70 dollars feeding 4 people. It took a long time to get my food, which was ok- that meant it was freshly made. Three stars for that And the fact that the people and service were super friendly. This place is a hidden gem! I've been meaning to try them out and finally ordered delivery from them thru GrubHub (i do not recommend using Grubhub due to their long long wait times) More importantly, the food was INCREDIBLE!! Hands down the best ribs I have ever had. Portions are huge and entrees usually come with two sides - all at a great price. I regret not coming here sooner. I heard a lot of awesome things about this local eatery called Pinky's so I had to stop in and see what the fuss was all about. When you first walk through the door you are greeted like an old lost friend. That kind of customer service is something money can't buy because trust me, I frequent top-end restaurants in DC and Arlington that could care less if I live or die! :) We tried several meals because there were a lot of options but the best things were the green beans, Southern Style Mac n cheese, corn bread, chicken, candied yams and potato salad. Essentially the side items were awesome. I liked the crab cakes because they were all crab and no filler but my family was not a fan. In fairness, it could be because the food was lukewarm by the time I got it home but we dug in because we were starving! There is room to eat there but this is more of a carryout joint. The rest of the entrees were just so-so, however. Nothing to really write home about, however the portions were good. The only negative is if I was going to be picky....the fries were soggy which I think was because they were packaged with the rest of the hot food and just got mushy. My air fryer at home took care of that and they had just the right hint of seasoning to give them distinction. You do need to be prepared to wait as the food is prepared on the spot which is a plus, so just call your order in ahead if you don't want to wait or are hungry. My advice is definitely to give it a try if you like to try different things. We will go back and get the chicken and sides again and I may try some of their pork options. The only thing I could give as advice would be for them to offer sides as separate items and not just as part of the meals. Which they may do but was not noted on the menu. Support your local small businesses, the prices are very competitive and it's not often that you feel like you got a home cooked meal when you buy something out. This was like going back in time to my grandmother's kitchen in St. Mary's in the 70's so for that memory alone, I will be back. read more

Got hungry while driving so found Pinky's on Yelp. The food was delicious and the staff nice, and friendly. We had the brisket and rib tip sandwiches. The sauce was soooo yummy, sweet and not too spicy but with a tiny kick. The rolls toasted just right--and the crispy bread plus the sauce equaled a total win! read more

Great old southern cooking, with a great staff who are always pleasant and ready to serve! The fried fish is great, sweet potatoe souffle awesome, and the greens melt in your mouth great! Came here on the way back from a hike with a couple friends. I had high expectations because the online reviews were all so good! The food quality for sure met what we'd expected: catfish was deliciously fried and the steak and cheese sandwich was also very filling. The food was amazing but we waited inside the store for almost an hour and a half with no explanation or update... until we approached the cashier and asked, to which we got a "5 more minutes" which turned into another 20. At first we thought it might just be because we didn't call in ahead of time, but even the people that ordered in-store were getting their food before us. They apologized when we finally got our order and gave us a slice of cake, but the bun for the catfish sandwich had also already gotten soggy and the fish cold, and I think everyone's mood was already ruined by that point. Might return if I'm ever in the area but wouldn't recommend if you are just hungry and need a bite to eat. read more
