The process is definitely not as hard as everyone thinks it is, as long as you go to the right place. I wish this was my first stop as it would have saved me a lot of time and money!! I started my iron door shopping in a shop at Sun Valley. I got the run around from them telling me their doors were made in Brazil when I know they were made in China. They had single pane glass on a hollow door! At Pinkys things are different here! I went into the LA showroom that had A LOT of selection and was greeted by Dion. He walked me through the show room which had at least 100 HUGE iron doors displayed. I could have done it all online or on the phone but I just loved touching these things before buying them. Different feel when you actually see what will be the face to your house! They do not do installations but recommended me to an installer named Rocky who came out and installed my door in just a few hours! So I got a quality iron door with dual pane low E glass for under my budget! It was truly great dealing with them and I will be sure I will be using them on my next home along with referring them to everyone I know. read more

I like the door okay and the price was reasonable but the 2 things that I absolutely do NOT like are 1) the pre-drilled holes (doesn't come with handles) are so close together, you have zero options for a nice custom pull. You get this big beautiful iron door & are forced to buy knobs at the local hardware store as they are the only fit. 2nd thing is you are told not to clean it with water. It is an exterior door! It gets dirty, dusty and what about rain?! Supposedly the water dries out the paint/finish and you are only supposed to use a car wax to clean it. Very inconvenient. read more

The process was easy, they accommodated my constant changes and worked at times that suited me including the weekend (I have a toddler who needs quiet at her nap time). Quality Quality Quality. Google iron doors and you will find several in the LA area (the SF Valley). I drove to the other iron door dealers first and saw doors that did not match Pinky's quality. I was glad I made the drive to Pinky's because they had a huge selection of doors, very informative sales people (Ryan), and were priced competitively. When buying a door, look at the seal, internal window closures, and quality of iron work. Pinky's has a higher quality product than their competitor's doors and their customer service was AMAZING. I ordered a door from Pinky's when it got here I fell in love.. what a beautiful door, I had purchased door handles as well. My installer was very good, cleaned up Their mess. We had an issue with the door handles and had no way to lock my doors, I kinda panicked, Dion had his dad Victor bring me the parts that were missing (LA to Palm Springs) Vic drive all that way. This little old man thick accent showed up in his tennis shoes ready to fix what was wrong right, reminded of my dad. We talked as he worked and was done in no time at all. As far as the product goes, our 3 doors are top notch. The attention to detail and quality, you could not do better. The price in relation to what you get was fantastic. The sales experience at their office was what we had hoped for. So why not 5 stars?? $250 delivery charge for what we got was 2 star at best. They sent us a 115 lb nice young lady to deliver over 1200 lbs of steel doors in an old pick-up with no lift gate. The most help she gave was to hand me our order invoice. I had to call some neighbors to help me unload. They were not happy, not to mention they kept bring up how there backs hurt for the next week. If I knew what my $250 would get me, I would have rented a $30/day flat bed, picked a couple of my friends and driven the 51 miles to pick up the doors myself. This should be fully explained at the moment of ordering and in my case we were told what we were getting just before the doors arrived. read more

Pinky's Iron Doors wowed us from our initial contact to the delivery of the doors, customer service in between and the AMAZING craftsmanship of the doors. We purchased a new sprawled ranch and wanted to change the face of the home by building a portico and changing the front door. This project required a custom size door with a transom on top. Initially, the quote of shipping from CA to IL of $800 shocked us at first, until we heard the weight of this shipment was going to be just over 1,100 lbs! Given that perspective, along with the fact that the packing of the doors, included a well built crate, this cost was very reasonable. The total cost of the doors, transom, lock and shipping was $5,200, which was still a very good price when it comes to front doors purchases we've made in the past. The size was 72x96 plus the transom on top. The doors were delivered by the promised month. It's going to be very difficult to fairly describe these doors. They take your breath away.. truly! They've amazed our neighbors and every single person that stopped by commented on the beauty of these doors and stop to take in their beauty. The best part for us is the light that comes through the glass inside the house, yet complete privacy glass, along with maintenance free! No more stripping and painting! Selecting a new front door for our home was not as simple as I thought. We were initially considering wood doors but quickly realized the cost of high quality would doors was astronomical and could potentially result in warping. That lead to searching for iron doors and Pinky's stood out as offering a high quality door at an incredibly reasonable price. The service at Pinky's is also top notch. The sales representative answered all of my questions clearly and directly and provided detailed responses to my questions about installation. The doors we received fully matched the expectation that was set by Pinky's. The frame is heavy duty and was completely square and made for a very simply installation. The doors are incredibly solid and glide very smoothly on the brass washers that are recessed into the hinge cup. The doors seal well and have helped insulate our home (compared to the warped mahogany doors we removed). I have no doubt these doors will continue standing even through an apocalypse. The one hiccup we ran into is that the emtek hardware we selected was incredibly low quality and did not function correctly -- the knob would get stuck, deadbolt mechanism was crooked and would not engage with the dummy door, among other issues. But it is not Pinky's fault emtek makes low quality hardware. Upon notifying Pinky's of the issue with the Emtek locks, Pinky's immediately, literally within an hour, contacted their rep at Emtek and obtained return authorization for a full refund and prepaid shipping. I ordered Baldwin hardware (which is leagues ahead of Emtek in design and quality for the same price). Pinky's customer service with the entire process was incredible. I would not hesitate purchasing doors or other products from Pinky's again in the future. There is a good reason Pinky's has consistent five-star reviews. Keep up the awesome service and offering high quality products. read more

There's certain things that tie a house together, one is the entrance. You could have an insane house, but some boring lame door that people enter to get into it. My friend's house had this exact problem, so we ventured to Pinky's to solve it. This place has the most insane selection of amazing doors. You could easily spend a lot of time here looking at all the options and thinking about how great they would be at the front of your home. Ryan was super helpful and you could tell he really knew what he was talking about and is super into it, which is great, knowing someone just isn't slinging a product to get a paycheck is great.
