Today I came to pinnacle peak. The food was pretty good but the mushrooms were very over salted. Every thing else was good the steak was perfectly cooked. Our server was very nice she also, brought every thing we needed right away. Also, she came very often to check on us. The ambiance was great pinnacle peak also has at least 1000 ties on the roof that they always cut if you are wearing one. The restaurant was very clean. Last pinnacle peak played great music.

This is a pretty unique steak house. A lot of cool older stuff inside and outside the restaurant. A remake of old western living on the outside definitely makes it good. Their big thing is cutting off the ties of anyone who wears them there. I had the cowboy steak, beans and Mac n Cheese. The steak was great. Beans were great. Mac n Cheese was pretty bland and definitely not worth the 5 dollars they charge for a simple side dish. Prices were a little high, but normal considering all the stuff they have going on around there. Service was pretty good. I can see this as being a place to return too every once in a while.

The service was really great and I loved the theme! The whole menu was very decently priced. My cowgirl steak was a great size but I do wish it had a little more flavor. I personally didn't like the house beans but I've never been one to have beans with my steak so I could be biased. The peach cobbler was a great size with the combo!

The concept of this place was cool! It's located in an old cowboy town so plenty of shopping and browsing for before and after your meal. The restaurant itself was themed in old western country also and included its own saloon with swinging doors. They have a tradition where they cut your neck tie and hang it up which is cool! The staff were super friendly and the food was okay. There just wasn't a lot going on with flavors in the food. The steak was cooked well but was kind of bland and the salmon was a little on the charred side. Overall, cool place to visit and sit down for a nice dinner

The overall concept was really cool. We loved the neck tie story and watching people get their neck ties cut off. The theme and vibe was fun too, lived tying to the whole little town experience. The food was ok at best. The ribs were the best tasting and very meaty. The beans and Mac were kind of bland and the Mac tasted like it came out of a box. Our server was great. He was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu to offer suggestions. Unfortunately, I just wasn't very impressed with the food.

It's been a while since I came here but decided to stop by on Jan 28, 2026 at 6:30pm. Service is amazing , as soon as you walk into the restaurant they sit you down and have your drink order going. I ordered the cowgirl . Smaller t bone steak . The steak was okay . The fat was not really rendered down but it did have a good smoke flavor. This place serves a no frills steak so if you're used to peppercorn crust , steak with sauce or dry aged you will be disappointed. Keep that in mind. The steak does come with family style ranch beans and bread. Over all, it's an experience with the cowboy theme restaurant and shops near by .

As a Tucson chef, I don't hand out compliments lightly -- but Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse deserves its reputation. This place is pure Old West Tucson charm with a side of mesquite smoke. The minute you walk into Trail Dust Town, you can smell the wood fire and hear that grill popping. I ordered the Cowboy Steak -- a ribeye big enough to make a ranch hand blush -- and it came out beautifully charred, smoky, and rich. My only critique? Ordered medium rare, got medium well. Easy fix, but chefs, keep an eye on those thermometers. When done right, it's one of the best steaks in town. Service was warm, fun, and totally on-brand for the cowboy vibe -- friendly staff in boots and hats, no ties allowed (literally). Sides like the baked potato and cowboy beans hit the comfort zone perfectly, and dessert from the Chocolate Depot next door sealed the deal. If you're visiting Tucson or live here and want to taste real Arizona flavor, this is a must-try. Family-friendly, date-night-worthy, and still one of the most consistent steakhouses in the Southwest. -- Chef William Zabaleta (@TucsonCook) Trail Dust Town - Tucson, AZ Full review: https://tucsonazcook.blogspot.com/?m=1

I've enjoyed 40 years of great dining here. Steaks always perfect, staff always helpful and cheerful. The only change sad to see my first visit the cowboy 20 ounce bone was 8.99 now 37.99 but that's life. Indoor western styling, no ties or cut off. It's a tucson must for steak lovers.

Two stars for the burger everything else I just .... Ghhhrrrr.. Okay so just attitude and the way you word things is important and our server just didnt have it . The way he replied to things was just off. I felt like I was being rushed when dude didnt even have another table . The restaurant was empty , it was a Monday night. I had to ask for condiments multiple times. I mean got a baked potato and wasnt given any butter sour cream just a dry ass potato . The prices for the size is just wild. Im sorry but this place just wasnt it . I mean who does night closing duties in front of customers. For the price that it is here I would assume its some type of fine dinning . (Lol i got the burger but still )

    Beans, very good.

Food was very good, it's not a true steakhouse so it wasn't the best cut of beef I've ever had, but it was very good for what it was and it was seasoned well. It was cooked on a Mesquite grill and that made it even better. Our service was absolutely outstanding, our server was "Bat Masterson" yep, they all have old-time country western star names, from back in the day, actually back from 1950's. It's kind of a cool place, looks like a old country saloon, it's all rustic, but that's what you should expect when you're coming here. The only downside was they didn't have a good selection of whiskey or bourbon's. I would've given it a five rating but because we didn't get any of the whiskey/bourbon we would've liked to have had it just kinda sent me back a little bit. It's a cute little village area and kids absolutely would love it. The desserts were very good too, very big and we ordered two of them for three of us. We probably could've ordered one. .

HUGE porterhouse steak! Perfectly grilled...rare plus!

    Do they take reservations?

Thanks for asking! The restaurant accepts reservations for parties of 10 or more. Just give the restaurant a call after 2pm to get sorted out.

    Are there kids meals?

We did not look, so I am not sure. Their online menu does not show any. But there were children in there. Maybe they shared.

Love the wall of chianti bottles that lead to the bar and love that the staff dress up in casual Prohibition garb. Came here for girl's night and it was everyone's first time even at the restaurant but mine. I'd had dinner a couple times in the restaurant for my birthday and had the cheese wheel fettuccine alfredo. I asked if anyone was interested in trying it and so 3 of us split it which ended up being pretty perfect. It is hands down THE BEST fettuccine alfredo. We had many drinks come to our table, the first round being the homemade limoncello. Made with local Meyer lemons, it is deliciously potent. A must try. The bartender, Ryan or Brian, he made cocktails from the heart. A couple of gals ordered "dealer's choice" drinks and they were inspired by the drinker's stories. It was really a unique experience for them and I could almost see his mind working out the chemistry of the libations. Another must try, although I didn't because I had to drive myself home. I did have a coffee with Bailey's, Amaretto, and freshly-made whipped cream. Last must try if not on a coffee drink maybe on a dessert. One person in our party thought that the drinks were on the spendy side. Many of the ingredients were house made and all top shelf. I'm from Los Angeles so an $18 drink was a normal night at the klerb. Worth mentioning if that would be a deal breaker. Worth a go. I thought it was better than the speakeasy at the Sonoran House which was too bright and not intimate. You really like feel more like you're not where you're supposed to be at The Still. There is a curio cabinet with cigars that I think are for sale. The speakeasy opens up to the patio for all the smoke suckers. Great for a small groups or date night, maybe not the first date.

The first thing I need to own is that it's a shame I hadn't visited here before. We arrived at 5:30p and both the bar and patio areas were packed - standing room only, and no wonder. They have one of the better happy hours (daily! 3:00 - 6:30p) - able to accommodate both the slacker and the over-timer Lol. Basic drinks are all discounted such as house wines, well drinks, and beers. Their bottled wines and craft cocktails are all exempt though. Many of their appetizers are also discounted and some quite substantially. We grabbed a glass of the house cabernet ($6, normally $8) and the grilled shrimp wrapped in jalapeno bacon ($13, normally $20). NOTE: happy hour pricing is Only available if you order/consume at the bar or on the patio and that's clear in advance, and understandable. The dining areas were only half full at this early point (but filled up by 6:30) and the host kindly encouraged us to enjoy our starters at the bar as she would hold our table. We were then sat near the "back" of this long venue and frankly, aside from the lone windowed table at the very front, this would be my preferred seating - cozy, intimate, with only five other tables around us. For dinner drinks she got an Italian Nebbiolo Bricco Magno Red Blend ($13/glass, reliably terrific/mellow) and I got the Chupacabra ($15) Mezcal/prickly pear cocktail, strong and excellent as well. We got an additional appetizer: the roasted bone marrow ($19). I had never had marrow before but she raved about how good this can be if done properly (bonus, it is super healthy). Folks, a picture/worth a 1000... suffice to say this was simply outstanding! We both had long work weeks and were craving meat - just a damn good steak. Our waiter, without blinking recommended the 8oz bison filet mignon ($65) as his absolute menu fav, and then the day's special: 14oz ribeye ($50). We ordered each. All dinners come with two sides and we each got the day's special: roasted half artichoke and she got the loaded baked potato while I got the mashed potatoes. Food arrived about 15 minutes later at good temperature (warm/rested with a strong char) with each being accurately grilled (medium and medium-rare). Taste was outstanding. Neither one of us had bison filet before and marveled how it (subtly) added a "wild" edge to an always outstanding, lean-but-tender, cut of beef. The loaded baked was terrific, however, the mashed was the only disappointment... a plainer mash one could not make themselves - pure white and borderline dry, no milk, butter, egg, gravy(?), nothing to make it creamy or add any flavor dimension - a surprise frankly. The only other "critique" is that the dessert menu could add some kind of dark/chocolate concoction. All in all, though, we loved our experience and have decided to add this to our periodic special dinners rotation! Staff was outstanding - just the proper balance of attentive and quiet - and waters never went below half empty. Parking is free and plentiful, especially behind the restaurant (and yes, if you continue on around the back there is another long entrance/exit driveway that comes out the other side of Jimmy John's and Noodleholics.

I understand the head chef has a French influence, but frankly it overwhelms the food and takes away from the freshness. I had the snapper since they didn't have the halibut. Where they seemed to sit everyone coming into the restaurant. If the restaurant was packed I would understand but every other room was empty. Who wants to sit along the pathway to the bathroom? Service was so/so. Had to ask for drinks multiple times. But frankly the quality of the food was not worth the cost. Definitely will not be returning, until they revamp the menu to include less French style and more uniquely inspired fresh food. I mean if we wanted French we would have gone to Le Rendezvous or Wild Garlic which are top notch.
