Fantastic breakfast spot. I had the brioche breakfast sandwich, and it was absolutely excellent. The home-fried potatoes were perfect--crispy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Parking is a bit of challenge over here since parking gets filled up with all the businesses in the area they do have a parking garage walking to your destinations are not too bad. This place was bigger than I imagined I was thinking this was just a coffee place like most but this is more like a cafe with a good amount of seating and table service. This place is more like a cafe/restaurant vs a coffee shop. From the pictures and stuff food looks pretty good here it was pretty packed in here as well so it must be yummy. Decided to grab brunch on a Sunday morning. Clutch and Coffee was busy and my party of 2 was 14th in line when we arrived. Apparently, they are a hot brunch spot in the area. Our server was Susie and she was very attentive throughout our brunch experience. The restaurant itself is very nice. We appreciated the AC after waiting under the sun. There were booths, tables and countertop seating options. We opted for the counter which was nice as we saw the diner hustle and delicious Clutch food come out at rapid speeds. Now for the coffee and food. For our first Clutch experience, we order the country fried steak and Eldon Benedict. Food was good although the country fried steak was a little on the drier side. I have had Clutch & Coffee's food about four times now (I think) and have enjoyed everything I've tried here! I've had it twice as dine-in and twice as take out. I've had their blueberry lemon and strawberry pancakes. I believe the pancakes are the same, but just the compote & toppings are different. Don't quote me on that though. Pancakes are fluffy. The compote is delicious and homemade with real fruit, none of that fake fruit syrup! Each plate does come with three so it's a lot of food. My only wish is if I could order just one pancake each flavor so I can try more dishes at once! The fried chicken and waffles were great. The menu said fried chicken breast, which scared me a little since friend chicken breast can get dry. I was pleasantly surprised how juicy the chicken breast was! It had a nice seasoning. The dish came with a candied bacon and an amazing jalapeno jam. The crispy chicken relleno sandwich was very interesting and good! It was fried chicken breast and a Chile relleno between two brioche buns. The jalapeno jam, roasted corn, cheese and arugula tied everything together. My only gripe was that the chile relleno was relatively small that you were only able to have some in your bite in maybe a third of the sandwich. It also came with seasoned fries, but it was not crispy. The country sausage eggs Benedict is the best of both worlds of an eggs Benedict and sausage&gravy. It had a crispy biscuit with polish sausage and poached eggs, and drenched in sausage gravy. Yum! It came with breakfast potatoes that I wish were crispier. The biscuits and gravy are delish with the same sausage gravy as above. There is a patio that is dog friendly. I was on the hunt for a great breakfast spot and stumbled upon this place as a highly recommended spot on Yelp. I was easily convinced with the reviews so I decided an early morning breakfast and to my surprise I was able to walk right in and not have to wait to be seated. It took a moment before being assisted by Catherine. Catherine took our orders which consisted of the following; two hot coffee drinks; the White Lotus and Strawberry Matcha Latte and for our meals we decided to go with the country fried portobello & eggs and the Eldon classic. The drinks were shortly served. I noticed that that strawberry matcha was "iced" and that's when the server said something along the lines of the sugar......... and just walked away. I set the drink to the side and waited for the server to come back and asked to have a different drink. So I asked for the Gibraltar. The server did not appear pleased with me not wanting the ice drink I did not ask for so she took the drink from the table. Few minutes later our food was served, but we had no utensils to eat with so I waived down another woman walking by then utensils were brought to our table. As for the food, the Eldon classic great, however the country fried portobello was very underwhelming. The portobello almost felt more sour than the usual earthy and savory flavor. When we finished up with breakfast, we placed the plates on the side of table. The check was then brought over without even asking us if we needed or wanted anything else. Service overall was a 2 of 5 stars as the server did not provide a pleasant experience as she just didn't seem to be having an enjoyable morning. Food was 3 stars as I really enjoyed the Eldon classic and the two hot drinks we had were also pleasant. I would not have a cold drink made with an option of hot or cold if it doesn't go well hot, though. In conclusion, I would say if you've never tried this place out and want to experience it, go in before 9 am. I wonder if they would benefit from playing different sports games on each tv. Just an idea, as I noticed some tables watching sports on their phones. Food was good. The omelette and biscuits and gravy were fantastic. The eggnog latte is a seasonal item and it was also very good. Regarding the iced matcha, I think they would benefit if the matcha was ceremonial grade and not culinary grade, which is more for baking. There's a huge flavor difference if you consume matcha regularly. The jalapeno burger was good and it came with the biggest fried jalapeno i've ever seen and it was very spicy! If you're into spicy definitely consider ordering that. Side note: they have their own coffee beans for purchase. Not a lot of places have their own roaster, so i thought that was very cool. What a fun place. We put our name on the wait list and got seated about 30 minutes later. First time here. The neighborhood has lots of free street parking and it was easy to find a spot. The restaurant is fun with a motorcycle vibe. The counter seats had big springs to hold the seats up. They thought of everything, even a socket for your USB charger in the wall of every booth. The music is loud in a good way, there are multiple TV screens of videos of cars going off roading. Wow what an extensive menu. We came on a Sunday morning and there was breakfast and lunch items. The chicken and waffles were ordered by 2 members of our party and the dipping sauce was so good, they asked for more. The French toast with fruit was fluffy and had a dollop of whipped creme on top. Ive been here multiple times now as it is so close to my home. At first I was a little intimidated as it gets crowded in the morning, many people are regulars and they are PASSIONATE about their love. Tables are filled up almost IMMEDIATELY it is insane. The barista and the waitresses are diligent and will make sure you are well served but they most certainly will NOT have a smile on their faces about it. Every time I've been here I've seen the same group of waitresses and same barista and each time they look stressed and overwhelmed but hey, can I really complain? I've never had to wait long to be served, the food is incredible, and the coffee is to die for. So this gets no complaints from me, they get the job done and well. The food is amazing. If you love American breakfast foods PLEASE check this place out. The country benedict is insanely delicious with the sausage gravy having these chunky sausage pieces that melt in your mouth and add little bursts of salt. The biscuit they everything over is always somehow so flaky and crispy despite being smothered in sauce. The poached eggs are always perfect, bursting when I use my fork making my mouth water. My boyfriend has recently been getting the loaded potatoes and oh. my. god. When I say you will be shocked, you will be shocked. Get the eggs scrambled and it's a gooey melt in your mouth dish with perfect potatoes and sausage. The steak and eggs is also a wonderful classic I get when I want to switch up from how HEAVY the country Benedict is. Be aware as well, the portions here are hefty! I am someone who enjoys sweet coffee, you won't ever catch me with just black. The iced white mocha latte is a delightful sweet morning pick me up. Not too sweet, I can still taste the coffee but there is no acidity or sourness which is my worst coffee pet peeve. Extremely disappointed with both the food and the service. I specifically ordered a vegetarian dish and was shocked when it arrived with pork. Mistakes can happen in busy restaurants, but what was unacceptable was the server's attitude--no apology, she simply took the plate away. It got worse when I was billed for an item I never ordered. When I pointed it out, she rolled her eyes before fixing it. When I told her the service was disappointing, she rudely replied, "I'm not going to argue," and walked away.
