We stopped by Clutch and Coffee in Torrance after one of my daughter's weekend classes and really enjoyed it. Service was great from the start, but one thing that immediately stood out was our waitress bringing over a few table games for my daughter to play with while we waited. I absolutely loved that! When you're eating out with a young kiddo, little things like that make such a difference. She was busy, we could actually sit and talk, and nobody had to pull out a phone! I honestly wish more restaurants thought to do this. It was simple, but showed how considerate they are of families coming in with kids. My husband ordered the Clutch Burger. He enjoyed it and finished just about EVERYthing! I went with the Southern Fried Chicken & Waffle, and there was A LOT going on with it in the best way. Fried chicken breast over a Belgian waffle with sweet pepper candied bacon and jalapeño jam. The jalapeño jam was what sold me because it gave it that sweet and savory combination with a little extra flavor. My daughter was perfectly happy with her pancake and sausage. Everything came out hot and tasted fresh. Another thing I have to mention because I appreciate it more than I probably should: their online menu has pictures of the food! THANK YOU. I'm a visual person, and sometimes reading a description just isn't enough. I want to see what the plate looks like before I commit, especially when I'm deciding between a few things. More restaurants need to do this, puh-lease! The restaurant itself was clean and well maintained, including the bathroom, and the whole experience just felt easy. Good service, good food, and they clearly understand that families with kids are part of their clientele. We'll definitely be back after another weekend class!
I am now a regular here. Their blueberry waffles are delicious and the omelets are solid. IAs usual, the food quality, portions and service is always consistent.
After experiencing racism at another restaurant in Newport Beach the day before, it was really heartening to be welcomed at this restaurant. My husband and I were greeted so nicely upon entering the door, and the guy at the front counter was all full of smiles. The waitress attending to us was Suzie and she was an angel as well. Very attentive, she kept checking on us even though she had the hands full. We ordered Shaksuka with a side of fries. The food came fast and I really liked the toast that came with the Shaksuka that we made another order for that toast. Overall, nice place to dine in. You can see the staffs are all happy working here. Even the busboy gave us a smile!
Craving eggs Benedict and based on Yelp made a detour. Staff were all friendly and helpful, shop was immaculately clean. Gentleman at counter let me know I could seat myself. Eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly, hollandaise right amount and temperature (often it's too much or slightly too cold and congealed). "Fruit" is often a crap-shoot but berries and pineapple and all fresh and delicious. I'm picky about cold brew, this was great. I will be making future detours through Clutch and Coffee.

Weekends tend to be packed at good brunch spots, and this ticked that box--it was packed, with a good wait. I joined the Yelp waitlist before I left the market, and once I arrived and the hostess appeared (which took a minute), she offered me immediate counter seating. Spoiler alert: I took it. It took the server a few minutes to get to me--though she did say hello and let me know she'd be by shortly. There's a prominent drink menu at the counter, but what wasn't so prominent was the food menu. I sat there for a few minutes waiting for someone to bring me a food menu before I realized that this tri-fold piece of paper hiding near the drink menu WAS the food menu. It's odd that the drink menu is large and laminated, and this looks like a to-go pamphlet. In any case, after some discussion with my server, I opted for the blueberry pancakes, which had been mentioned in other reviews. It took a little while for them to come--it was a busy service--but it wasn't so long as to be problematic. The pancake dish itself is a trio of large blueberry pancakes topped with blueberry compote and butter. My server mentioned that she found the compote enough--she didn't need syrup. For me, however, the pancakes would have been dry without at least a little syrup, so I asked for some (I'm a little surprised they didn't serve it with syrup). Once properly accessorized, they were tasty, though they fell apart pretty easily and were only moderately--but not exceptionally--fluffy. All in all, a good brunch option if you're in Torrance, and I'd have been curious to try some of the savory dishes--some of the other dishes floating around the counter looked tasty. I'd return if I were in the area.
This place is a gem. Great atmosphere. The music makes it a nice place to eat and chat with friends. We had excellent food but like the name the coffee is the star. I highly recommend coming early.
Love this place! It's a pinch of a stretch from my job but definitely worth the travel. I looove their service. Some nice folks in there. Not sure if they are but i get a family ran ambient from them which feels nice. I don't think any other breakfast/brunch joint tops this place. Craft beer? Come onnnn lol. If i didnt go during work hours, i'd totally have one. Their portions are true and fulfilling, you're getting your buck for sure. This last time i went for blueberry pancakes and craving was by far completed and satisfied. Their pancakes taste very unique and different. They were very yummy, i was sad i couldn't finish them. Their lattes are really good as well. Restrooms are very clean and up to standards for sure. Just typing this makes me want to go again. Enjoy!

This cafe is located in the Old Town Torrance area. Along the street of Torrance Bakery. Vibes were really nice, we came in around 9am on a Saturday, fairly busy when we got there. Got seated in the booth. We ordered Eldon Classic Benedict and Steak & Eggs. Food was decent. Staff are really nice and friendly. Overall, would be a good spot if you're looking for something local.
Rainy sunny morning is the perfect day for coffee and good breakfast. Food was great and service was excellent. Pricey ? Yes, but everything was great
Located off El Prado Ave in Old Torrance. Parking is a bit of challenge over here since parking gets filled up with all the businesses in the area they do have a parking garage walking to your destinations are not too bad. This place was bigger than I imagined I was thinking this was just a coffee place like most but this is more like a cafe with a good amount of seating and table service. This place is more like a cafe/restaurant vs a coffee shop. From the pictures and stuff food looks pretty good here it was pretty packed in here as well so it must be yummy. I just came to get a matcha to go. I got the strawberry matcha it was good. The staff were nice and helpful as well. Overall a nice spot they do close at 2pm so this is more of a breakfast/brunch place.
If you're into off-roading and comfort food...check out Clutch and Coffee in Old Torrance. Let's just say I wasn't expecting there to be a theme because my partner chose this place for brunch, but they are serving up some gooooood American breakfast classics. Standouts include their Chicken and Waffle, which is served with candied bacon wrapped around a bunch of thyme (not exaggerating here). The lemon herb butter is the best part. I stole some off my partner's plate for my biscuit, which was warm and moist. If you're going on a weekend, it does get busy. Make sure to check in with the host if you're using Yelp Wait List, or you'll end up waiting longer than expected. It's also very loud and dark in there, so if you'd like a more chill ambiance, get seated on their patio.
We had the loaded breakfast potatoes the seasonal pumpkin pancakes and chili relleno omelette everything was sooo delicious and filling we were seated fast the restaurant was very clean and hostess were extremely friendly especially Frankie!

Came for Sunday brunch with the family! I was able to check-in the line while on our way through Yelp and only waited 5 minutes to be seated. Our party was 4 people. It seemed extremely peaceful from the outside, but as soon as you step inside the spot is really upbeat. Waiters were really friendly and made sure our food/drinks were up to par! I REALLY recommend the strawberry pancakes and egg breakfast. The white lotus latte was to die for! I will definitely come back again. read more

Had another amazing Clutch & Coffee breakfast over the weekend. It truly was DELICIOUS. Of course I'll always get the blueberry pancakes. They are simply divine. This time, I also tried the loaded breakfast potatoes. Potatoes, sausage, peppers...perfect! Full of flavor! This diner style restaurant gets very busy on weekends and you definitely need to get everything from your server while you can...but they are pleasant and helpful. No issues there. I also tried an ice coffee since it was a lovely warm day out. Server recommended the "White Lotus" latte , it was sooooo good 10/10! Treat yourself to this place. read more

I was on the hunt for a great breakfast spot and stumbled upon this place as a highly recommended spot on Yelp. I was easily convinced with the reviews so I decided an early morning breakfast and to my surprise I was able to walk right in and not have to wait to be seated. It took a moment before being assisted by Catherine. Catherine took our orders which consisted of the following; two hot coffee drinks; the White Lotus and Strawberry Matcha Latte and for our meals we decided to go with the country fried portobello & eggs and the Eldon classic. The drinks were shortly served. I noticed that that strawberry matcha was "iced" and that's when the server said something along the lines of the sugar......... and just walked away. I set the drink to the side and waited for the server to come back and asked to have a different drink. So I asked for the Gibraltar. The server did not appear pleased with me not wanting the ice drink I did not ask for so she took the drink from the table. Few minutes later our food was served, but we had no utensils to eat with so I waived down another woman walking by then utensils were brought to our table. As for the food, the Eldon classic great, however the country fried portobello was very underwhelming. The portobello almost felt more sour than the usual earthy and savory flavor. When we finished up with breakfast, we placed the plates on the side of table. The check was then brought over without even asking us if we needed or wanted anything else. Service overall was a 2 of 5 stars as the server did not provide a pleasant experience as she just didn't seem to be having an enjoyable morning. Food was 3 stars as I really enjoyed the Eldon classic and the two hot drinks we had were also pleasant. I would not have a cold drink made with an option of hot or cold if it doesn't go well hot, though. In conclusion, I would say if you've never tried this place out and want to experience it, go in before 9 am. I hope that the service is much better than mine and that my service experience is not this server's normal customer service experience. read more

Love the look inside, nice and cool especially in the heat. My husband loved his chicken fried steak, my steak and chorizo omelette was more chorizo and did lack seasoning. The biscuit was buttery, light and fluffy. Service was excellent, all the staff were very friendly. read more
Decided to grab brunch on a Sunday morning. Clutch and Coffee was busy and my party of 2 was 14th in line when we arrived. Apparently, they are a hot brunch spot in the area. The wait was about an hour and we arrived close to 10:30am. Staff was super friendly. Hostess checked up on us after noticing that we were waiting for quite some time. Our server was Susie and she was very attentive throughout our brunch experience. The restaurant itself is very nice. We appreciated the AC after waiting under the sun. There were booths, tables and countertop seating options. We opted for the counter which was nice as we saw the diner hustle and delicious Clutch food come out at rapid speeds. Now for the coffee and food. For our first Clutch experience, we order the country fried steak and Eldon Benedict. Food was good although the country fried steak was a little on the drier side. Drinks were good and not too sweet. All in all, we had a pleasant experience. My only advice is to try this place out when there isn't a long wait. read more
Clutch and Coffee has amazing food. We always get a few plates to share. The grilled steak and the fried chicken and waffles are always a must order! The restaurant gets really busy and loud inside but outside is really clam and beautiful. I def recommend adding this to your must try! read more

The service was spectacular I can in the middle of the day while have my car services around the corner. I ordered a late and I added cold foam. The barista was nice she customized my foam to make it taste like maple. Coffee was tasty and the decor of the location was cool. When looking up a local coffee shop quickly I mistook this company to be klatch coffee. However clutch is good and I would go back. read more
I have had Clutch & Coffee's food about four times now (I think) and have enjoyed everything I've tried here! I've had it twice as dine-in and twice as take out. I've had their blueberry lemon and strawberry pancakes. I believe the pancakes are the same, but just the compote & toppings are different. Don't quote me on that though. Pancakes are fluffy. The compote is delicious and homemade with real fruit, none of that fake fruit syrup! Each plate does come with three so it's a lot of food. My only wish is if I could order just one pancake each flavor so I can try more dishes at once! The fried chicken and waffles were great. The menu said fried chicken breast, which scared me a little since friend chicken breast can get dry. I was pleasantly surprised how juicy the chicken breast was! It had a nice seasoning. The dish came with a candied bacon and an amazing jalapeno jam. The crispy chicken relleno sandwich was very interesting and good! It was fried chicken breast and a Chile relleno between two brioche buns. The jalapeno jam, roasted corn, cheese and arugula tied everything together. My only gripe was that the chile relleno was relatively small that you were only able to have some in your bite in maybe a third of the sandwich. It also came with seasoned fries, but it was not crispy. The country sausage eggs Benedict is the best of both worlds of an eggs Benedict and sausage&gravy. It had a crispy biscuit with polish sausage and poached eggs, and drenched in sausage gravy. Yum! It came with breakfast potatoes that I wish were crispier. The biscuits and gravy are delish with the same sausage gravy as above. There is a patio that is dog friendly. It is small that maybe holds 6 people comfortably, and it's only bar top seating, no low tables. read more

I really liked this place! Just your classic all American breakfast place. Be careful on weekends there are events on the area because parking can get difficult. We went on a day they were having an antique road show on the block. If you go during a busy time on the weekend, be prepared for a wait. I ordered the steak and chorizo omelette. It was so good and the portions are really big. It came with a side of potatoes and toast. I didn't end up eating my whole plate. I'd definitely come back, but on a day when there's no events on the block! read more

Went to Clutch and Coffee on a weekday for brunch and it was packed! Super busy spot but they were quick to sit us down and serve us food. We got the eggs benedict and the loaded potatoes. Everything was great, but the eggs were overcooked for the eggs benedict... aka hard boiled- poached eggs. Other than that, nothing that got sauce can't fix! read more

Context--I came here on a Sunday. Parking: shared open lot on the street Service was great. Our waiters were very attentive and checked on us often. Ambiance is casual/loud. This place is themed with off-road vehicles that play on every tv monitor with no audio, which is easy to disregard if that is not your type of entertainment. I wonder if they would benefit from playing different sports games on each tv. Just an idea, as I noticed some tables watching sports on their phones. Food was good. The omelette and biscuits and gravy were fantastic. The eggnog latte is a seasonal item and it was also very good. Regarding the iced matcha, I think they would benefit if the matcha was ceremonial grade and not culinary grade, which is more for baking. There's a huge flavor difference if you consume matcha regularly. The jalapeno burger was good and it came with the biggest fried jalapeno i've ever seen and it was very spicy! If you're into spicy definitely consider ordering that. Side note: they have their own coffee beans for purchase. Not a lot of places have their own roaster, so i thought that was very cool. Would I eat here again? Absolutely. Their service is one of the best I've experienced in old Torrance, and I have regrets about not ordering the tartine and country benedict. read more
The food here was really great!! I got the chile relleno omelet which was really yummy but the cheese coagulated really quickly. If sharing this I think you'll get the best of it! It's definitely enough for 2. The white lotus was great- not too sweet and was a great pick me up. My mom got the loaded potatoes which were 10/10 on their own as well as the blueberry pancakes!!! My one note would be to have one pancake a la cart. I personally would spend more to try more pancakes. read more
So this is my 2nd time here and although I do not remember what I got last time, my breakfast the other day was a breakfast to remember !! I also really loved my latte! Everything was tasty! I always love to grab food in Old town ... super cute ambiance and always gives the fall/winter cute town vibes during this time. Love love love it! I'm ready to go back this weekend !! The service was great, we had a girl named Cydney as our server and she was sweet! If Clutch and Coffee isn't on your radar... you need to change that as we enter 2026! read more

Such a great breakfast spot! The iced brown sugar espresso was absolutely amazing, smooth and perfectly sweet. The pancakes were hands down the best I've ever had, fluffy and so delicious! I also love that you can add yourself to the waitlist ahead of time so you're not stuck waiting when you arrive. Definitely coming back! read more

I've tried coming here several times the past couple of weeks during standard business hours, whether it be just after opening or a few hours later. And they are still closed.?
IDk, I usually am there Sundays and they are open at 8am. Maybe call before stopping by?
Can I make a reservation for 8 or do I just have to get there and wait?
Sorry, I think to be safe, I would call and ask them if they need reservations for 8 ppl.
Do they do take out?
There is always coffee bar walk up to order. Takeout not available on weekends when they are busy. I've been able to do takeout 1 out of 3 tries when it was non-peak hours.
Does the staff wear masks?
No. Not a one. Not the servers, not the cooks. My family will not be back.
Is the listed phone # accurate? I called 5+ times over a 30-min. period selecting different connect options & none picked up.
Do they have reliable wifi? Is it busy to get a table?
I got a to go order. I would say call in advance for a to go order. As far as wifi ...not sure because I did not dine there.
