Did an afternoon of bowling with girlfriends. Everything was great including service and food, but if you enjoy fine wines and real champagne you CAN NOT get it here. This place is SHADY. Upcharged us $2 on each glass of wine we ordered and $1 on each food item we ordered. When we brought it to their attention, the manager said we'd just gotten the wrong menu and wouldn't take the additional charges off our bill. All the other menus had the same pricing upstairs. They gave us a complimentary appetizer on a future visit. Thanks. No thanks. I won't be back. The seating area for bowlers is super cramped if you get an even numbered lane. Food was bland for what they charge. McDonalds makes a better burger. Poor management. Customer satisfaction is good. Ripping your patronage is not! read more

my experience at pinstripes was a 8/10; my mom rate was 7/10. Sunday August 22, 2021 Food: We went to Sunday brunch buffet. The reservation for @12 I made we were able to sit down, the food was so delicious(I was so full my whole body was stuff I barely could drive back home). I had at least 4 plates but the biscuits were dry ass hell and the croissant were also dry but everything else was mwah deliciouso. Drinks: There was not that many drink options; the bottomless mimosas were nasty I guess that's how people like their mimosas but not me(orange and cranberry was nasty), and the water was room temperature if it was going to be room temp. I could have at least got some ice. Service: Now the waiter was nice and calm but it was the not coming to check on us every 10 mins for me. He checked on us at least 2 times but the whole time he was making drinks and taking care of 2 parties and 4 people (I could I understand if he came and said oh I am being this morning so if you need anything speak with this woman or man but nope didn't say nothing) so I was ready to go asap after 20 mins still didn't get my tab to go home so I went to the front desk and finally got someone to get it for me and he understood I was irritated so he got me my tab and pay for it and left and also there was no tissue In the family bathroom downstairs so my mom rated it 7/10. read more

We went there to celebrate my daughter's birthday and it was horrible!!! When we got there we went to the bar to get something to eat before bowling and the young lady look at us several times before coming over to us!! I'll be right with you goes a long way but that never happened. She finally came over took our order then went back to talking to who ever was behind the bar, our food was not cooked all the way, she didn't give us silverware, forgot our drinks, then we went up stairs to bowl and she showed us to our station and we never saw her again!!! The place is beautiful but the staff needs training or they need to be replaced. I'm a store manager and if my staff behave this way I would be totally embarrassed!!! This definitely needs to be addressed!!!! I read the reviews on yelp before I went and they weren't too positive, but I gave it a try and wish I didn't. This place was literally phenomenal! The ambiance of the entire restaurant makes you feel right at home. Or maybe for me it was my awesome waiter Lennie who anticipated all of the needs of my girlfriend and I. From his knowledge of the menu to the never-ending smiles, this guy was the perfect server. His manager Nate was kind as well. I recommend Pinstripes to all of Houston. Whether it's a night out in the city or just running to the bar for a few cocktails or beers, this place is your best bet. This is my second time coming here. I should have known that something was up when I couldn't remember the first. The only thing I could give them kudos for was the sweet and spicy chicken wings. I ordered the ribs which were supposed to be so tender the melt off the bone that was so not the case. I was truly disappointed . I want to start out by saying if I was writing this review last year, it would be a 5 star review and would be raving about how it's our favorite bowling alley in all of Houston. In fact, we always buy the unlimited bowling passes and go weekly when we have them. Today was the first time we had a bad experience out of the approximately 20 times we went last year. Every Saturday we would go at 10:30am, bowl then have a nice breakfast and drinks. Now on Saturdays either you have to pay $30 for the breakfast buffet or order from the gamer menu which is just lunch food. I asked if I could order just polenta and bacon, like I did every time last year and that's no longer allowed, need to pay $30 if you want breakfast food. The service was the slowest we have ever experienced- maybe they're all new because didn't see any of the servers we loved from last year. Also never have I ever had to ask a server for silverware, plates and napkins since we did end up ordering lunch food... As the service was so slow, we were there until close to 12:30 and didn't see a single person at the breakfast buffet. We are going to give it another try next week to make our passes worth it, but this new rule is not only a waste of revenue as we will now be eating beforehand somewhere else, but an utter waste of food. The only one other lane near us had the same complaints. Biggest advice- don't try to fix something that's not broken. read more

We had an outstanding evening dining and playing bocce ball this weekend. The service was top notch, everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. The upstairs bartenders (Taylor and Denzel) were fantastic, both very attentive and Denzel took his time to thoroughly explain how to play bocce ball, which was a lot of fun. Jennifer also repeatedly checked on us, even though she wasn't our waitress and clearly was busy doing other activities (I didn't ask, but I'm guessing she was working a rehearsal dinner). Really a great place to eat and just enjoy your evening. We both agreed that the tomato bruschetta was possibly the best we've had (it was almost a meal unto itself and I don't know HOW the bread managed to not get soggy with all the toppings and the time it took before we actually ate it while we took pictures of it). Caesar salad was fresh and crisp, and the maple glazed salmon was perfect (why this isn't marked as a chef recommended item on the menu is a mystery...we definitely recommend it). 10/10 experience, we will be back. The good: plenty of dining and lounging space, food is pretty good, courteous staff, valet or self-parking, private rooms looked very spacious The bad: few if any Covid precautions to be seen, very few masks on staff, not even hand sanitizer available in the bowling area where you're handling bowling balls that likely haven't been cleaned; possibly short-staffed as didn't seem to be many servers for completely full bowling area; menu needs better descriptions (EG Cowboy Burger came with mayo but didn't say so, which was a dealbreaker for one of us, who heaves at the mere idea of mayo but didn't know to ask). The really bad: seating in the bowling area. Wtf were they thinking? Very tight seating and you're sharing a table with randoms. We had two parties of 6 on either side of our party of 4, and there was not even enough seating and barely any room even for walking or standing. The actual seating for eating next to the lanes is crammed up against the drink tower and the stools are insanely high for shorties like me. The tight quarters make it hard to even see the lanes unless you're actually bowling. It's really strange bc the rest of the place is very roomy, perfect for a summer happy hour inside. One group had the right idea, to reserve two lanes for their 6. We had a good time but probably won't be back. For that cost (over $100 for 2 hours of bowling for 4 adults) I don't want to be sitting in some 21yo's lap. Famous Prime Rib Dip Sandwich was very greasy but overall pretty good. read more

Went here for my birthday. The food was not great. Chicken sandwich was so dry and not good. The salmon looked blackened but it was really just a layer of salt on top and the Caesar salad dressing was so salty as well. Everything we ate was INCREDIBLY salty. And I love salt so that should tell you something. Service was so slow we were sitting at our table for 13 minutes before our server came by to give us water. Ridiculous. After dinner we went bowling and it was even slower service. We had to keep reminding our server what drinks we ordered because it took so long. Bowling was $86 for 2 people for 2 hours. I had one of the worst experiences of my life. We had a group of about 20. They gave us a waitress and a trainee. The place was not busy. It took so long for everything to come out. They gave one table 2 orders of breadsticks and the other table 1. Drinks took forever to come out. We are drinkers. They cost themselves money by not giving drinks at a timely manner. I ordered the ribs, salad and appetizer. The order was given at random times and called out like a diner. This looked to be a nice place so you are suppose to put the order in, in the order it belongs so you don't have to call out people's orders. I received the salad and ribs at the same time. She forget the appetizer. She forgot a lot of things. Everything had to be repeated several times. If she has a problem remembering, write it down. I didnt get a chance to order dessert before she closed my tab. We went upstairs to bowl. I ordered dessert there. I stepped away before I finished my dessert and someone picked it up and threw it away. This place and it's service is a joke. read more

This spot has everything! Sleek modern decor, good food, nice ambience, bowling and the list goes on. I visited during the day and it was quiet but we had a great time. We came to just check out the restaurant but decided to bowl because they offered complimentary socks! The prices are reasonable and the space is spacious. The hours have been scaled back because of covid but I see this place drawing a huge crowd once everything goes back to normal. I went with my girlfriend but this is definitely a great date spot and reservations are required. read more

This place is amazing! I love everything about the decor the seating arrangements the bar, the lounge chairs and outdoor seating. The entire vibe and mood is perfect for me. I didn't get to bowl however it gives me a reason to go back and enjoy drinks and bowling . The menu is simple and the food is good. The only thing I would suggest is for them to add more vegan/ vegetarian options that would be awesome. Other than that our bartender was awesome great customer service, I do not remember his name but he was very nice. My friends also had a very good time and had nothing but positive feedback. I think one of my guests ended up getting a flatbread one hour after ordering but that's on the KITCHEN people. So manager tell the kitchen people to communicate and everything will be perfect, we were all happy to be there and enjoyed a lovely time. Went for a bon voyage for family this past New Year. I was reminded of home with their Bocce ball and Bowling. Our server Dejah was awesome and super attentive when the kitchen served mediocre food she just kept apologizing and suggesting drinks! Great atmosphere and fabulous staff members. I hated having to wait for a lane but experience and atmosphere was worth it. I loved the Billiard ball bowling balls. On October 22 I visited Pinstripes for a friends birthday. My reservation was at 1:30pm. Brunch was over at 2pm but was not informed or reminded. At 1:45 we were still not acknowledged by a team member, I had to get up and go get someone. Mind you, we had a party of 10. Finally someone came but still we were not notified that food would stop at 2pm. We got our first plate. When we went back for plate number 2, the buffet was completely shut down. I asked a team member what was going on as the waitstaff began to serve themselves a Togo plate. I was told food was over. Mind you brunch is $30. I complained then to learn I could order from the menu. By that time 30 min or so past by. No one came to even get my order. By this time I was frustrated. I had a bowling reservation and informed a team member that I wanted to cancel my stop. He said ok no problem. On 10/24 I called and spoke to Aaron who is a manager and he committed to refunded me the $160 bowling fee and calling me to confirm on 10/26. It is Nov 2. I had left messages for Aaron, Nate Rose and someone named Tyra who committed to calling me. I just want my refund at this point. I will not be returning to this establishment nor do I recommend it. read more

First of all this place has zero ambiance considering it's Upper Kirby district & in a new multimillion dollar building. Secondly the menu is literal bar food sadly misrepresented as dinner. Thirdly the actual menu does not explain the dishes well so if you don't like spicy food but ordered the brussel sprouts then you are out of luck. The French dip sandwich tasted like carpet. Cheeseburger came smothered with mayonnaise even though it was not listed on the menu. Broccolini was so salty it was inedible. And to top it all off the manager came to clear our table, picked up too many dishes at once and in doing so placed a heavy black skillet the cheeseburger came on right on top of my Chanel clutch which was on the table. He put a heavy dish on top of my purse. I will never go back to this place. Don't get me started on the second floor. This place is whack. read more

Our waitress was absolutely horrible - she came to our table maybe twice. The downstairs restaurant and upstairs bowling alley are beautiful. This is a place to come if you'd like to avoid large crowds or screaming children. I've seen people comment on here that children are allowed and while that may be, please don't bring them. Read the room, this is clearly a place for adults and there are many other bowling alleys to bring your ill-behaved rugrats. Our waitress came to us in our bowling area and she was sweet and attentive though it took over 35 minutes for food to arrive each time as well as over 10 minutes for a drink to be brought over to us. The steak sliders were really yummy but the Parmesan risotto was not great. Pizza looked good but was also nothing amazing. The calamari was meh and I also ordered "fresh baked warm cookies" as dessert and let me tell you, don't waste your money. These cookies seemed to have come out of a plastic box and they were neither warm or fresh baked. Overall the bowling experience was awesome, ambiance is 10/10, and now we know which foods aren't worth it. read more

Stephanie and her staff were top notch customer service and made it east for me to organize as well as understanding the mind thinking of budgets ok paper and the final bill. The food did not arrive hot but i'm sure if it would had been warm it would've been delicious but unfortunately wasn't as satisfying. There was about three servers for all of the lanes although they were trying their best the service wasn't that great due to low staff.
