The place is okay. Service was very okay, she did not care about us, take too long to talk to us, food came fast thou. Talking about food. Rio de Janeiro pizza is did not like Brasil. Catupiry was cream cheese, no filling, pizza crust was good. Alfred sauce was the same as 4 cheese gnocchi sauce. Basically food was all ready and did not taste nothing special. Did not worth the price!
Piola was so incredibly yummy. We visited there while on vacation in Miami Beach for lunch. Lenka was our server and she was so nice! I appreciated her helping me with my pizza selection - I ended up going with the new Capricciosa pizza, their premium pizza that included artichokes, sautéed mushroom, Italian ham "Parma Cotto", mozzarella and their famous homemade fresh daily tomato sauce. The portions are huge but was so hungry from our travel to Miami Beach that I ate my whole pizza! Lenka did a great job serving us too. She made sure we had all the pizza toppings for our table, as well as refills on our beverages. She was just so phenomenal at her job and was so happy, nice and kind. Nothing was too much for her to handle, all with an amazing attitude. Lastly, we came a little after lunch - around 2:30pm on a Sunday and it was really quiet. Not many people were dining so we got our food really quickly which was awesome! The ambiance was nice too -- wasn't super fancy or anything but was a casual nice setting. We can't wait to visit here again the next time we visit Miami Beach.
This place is a cute little Italian restaurant. The wait staff is very sweet and the food was really delish! I got one of the specials which was pasta in a cream sauce with seafood and mushrooms. It was a special so not something regularly on the menu but it was amazing. My partner got the Penne Cividale and it was amazing too. We also started with the garlic knots that really hit the spot. They don't have a full bar but a bunch of wines and some basic cocktails like mojito and a simple margarita. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is on their terrace so you're not directly on the street.
I came here about a few months ago and the service was amazing and the owner was super sweet. I had the 4 cheese gnocchi legnano and it was okay. I wouldn't get it again. My partner loved the pizza. The coffee was great. We are back again and I got the bolognese and my partner got the penne pasta. Both was fantastic, I would definitely recommend this place.
Nice Italian place! We were staying in Miami Beach during art Basel and looking for a place to eat since most places we couldn't get reservations with it being art Basel that day. We were walking down and saw this cute little restaurant which was tucked on the street and had nice outdoor seating. Hostesses were very friendly and so was the waitress. We had a great time here. The pizzas we ordered were both good and so was the garlic knots. The wine we selected was also smooth and it was the bottle recommended by our waitress. Overall so glad we found this spot when we couldn't figure out where to eat with all this Basel craziness!
The outdoor seating was great and had a nice vibe. We enjoyed sitting there. I chose this restaurant because there were so many positive reviews of the pizza. There were many interesting ones to choose from, however, we were disappointed with the taste and quality. The sauce was very bland and didn't seam to have any of the normal seasonings. The crust did not have a good flavor and was undercooked. The toppings seemed to be of good quality. The server never checked after the food arrived but she was taking care of a lot of tables.
The food was amazing and so was our server Umberto would definitely recommend. Excellent dessert as well.
I ordered a supreme pizza for pickup and was genuinely looking forward to trying it, even knowing it was on the pricier side. Unfortunately, when I opened the box, the pizza looked undercooked and smaller than expected. My fingers ended up covered in flour while eating, the center of the pizza was stuck to the box making it nearly impossible to separate the slices, and most of it felt like crust rather than toppings. After the disappointing meal, I checked the bill and noticed a pricing difference. The paper receipt on the box showed $22.89, and with the $2.10 tip I left, it totaled $24.99. However, the electronic receipt listed a total of $26.89, including a $1.99 service fee that wasn't clearly reflected on the paper receipt. I'm not trying to bash the restaurant--I know it's a tough business--but I did want to share my experience so others are aware. For nearly $25 without tip, it ended up being about four slices of pizza. Hopefully, the undercooked pie was just a one-time issue.
We ate here twice in one day! Not only is it conveniently located in the lobby of the hotel in which we are staying, but it also appears to be very popular. The place stayed busy with individuals and groups coming and going throughout the dining room and picking up to-go orders. The atmosphere was very lively and rather loud during our evening visit, but that was mostly due to the staff of giggly young ladies. When we came at lunch,I noticed the colorful lamps hanging over the tables that were up against the far wall and in the evening, they put out cute, little touch lamps for moody lighting. We shared a pepperoni pie (9/10- very good for the kind of thin-crust pie that they serve) for lunch and at dinner we shared a Supreme pie without sausage (6/10) as well as a huge Toscanini Salad on a bed of arugula (8.5/10). The Supreme pie was very heavy on the red onions and light on pepperoni. You got about one pepperoni per slice, so 4 total for the entire pie. We probably should've kept the sausage on. They offer parmesan, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, oregano, balsamic vinegar and oil to you when bringing your food out to the table. During dinner, at one point, I think we had ALL of the offerings on our table. Not because the food needed it, but because it was fun! The condiments added to our individual experiences by allowing us to customize the flavor profiles to our own preferences. All of the staff was very warm, welcoming and attentive. The thin-crust pizza was light and delicious. They serve beer, wine and mimosas. The bellini mimosa that we had with dinner was yummy and refreshing.
I was staying in the hotel attached to this restaurant during a recent stay in Miami for a work conference so it was very convenient. We had no trouble getting a table for lunch one day and the service was pretty quick. The portions were huge! We honestly should have split a pizza but we wanted two different things. The food was good and we had leftovers for a few days. Highly recommend checking them out!
Nice place next to the busy street. There is seating inside and outside. Good service and good food. We ordered the lentil soup and the ortomisto pizza.
Came here right when we got to Miami. Was a close walk from our hotel. Had great gluten free options. Gluten free crust was really good. Service was fast. Sat outside which there was a nice seating area. Was windy when we were there but still had a great time. Recommend if you need gluten free.
Love Piola! They have an amazing assortment of pizzas and all of them are delicious! We usually order the Rio de Janeiro and the Carbonara. You can't go wrong with any of their pizzas. Also they are super fast which is great when you're hungry. We walked in and it was self seating so we sat inside, the outside is nice overlooking Collins Ave but it was a bit windy. We ordered our usuals with some sodas and waited. Pizzas came out quick and were so good! read more

Wonderful dinner experience at Piola last night. The Penne Alfredo with chicken was mind blowing, super tender and creamy; we also got the seafood salad and veggie pizza (don't remove the names now). Very good service overall. read more
Walking in South Beach, we came across this little gem. We sat on the patio, so I did not get to experience the inside, but it was a cute setup. Our server was friendly and responsive, and the food came out fairly quickly. The pizza was a step up from famoso, but very similar. Thin crust and excellent combinations of ingredients. The cheese on the Brazilian pizza was amazing with the chicken. I would definitely hit this place up again!! read more

So the wife and I came to Miami to celebrate my 36th birthday. We were stuck on a couple of choices and decided to come here cause it was right outside the hotel. For starters we got the garlic knots which were warm and fluffy. We also got the caesar salad which was fresh, ordering salad can be a hit or miss sometimes, but this salad was fresh and crisp and the dressing was not overbearing. I was stuck between the pene pasta or the spaghetti bolognese but luckily our wonderful server Cintia was more than happy to offer insight as to which dish would be the best, so I went with the spaghetti bolognese. My wife got the pene Alfredo pasta and to drink we both got Arnold palmers which were perfectly mixed. We chose to sit outside even though it was humid when we arrived from LA but it was the perfect intimate setting for a couple celebrating a birthday. When all was finished my wife mentioned we wanted to try some desert to celebrate my birthday and got the pistachio tartufo covered in a chocolate shell with graham cracker crust. To my surprise cintia and other employees including the manager came out singing happy birthday to me which I really appreciated and was a nice gesture on their behalf. Overall the staff was lovely here and our server made it the best experience by providing that one special detail with the desert. Thank you!! read more

We had dinner here because it was conveniently located across the street from our hotel. The garlic knots were delicious. Good enough I wanted to order more but I didn't. I had spaghetti bolognese and my husband got a meat lovers pizza. My food was good - served piping hot. Very flavorful. My husband's pizza had a super thin crust that got soggy in the center of the pizza but the toppings were really good. It took a while to get our server's attention to get our check after our meal. Also, this place for whatever reason is connected to the lobby of the hotel next door which was awkward. But those garlic knots... man oh man. I'd come back just for those! read more

I was staying at the Confidante across the street from Piola. I was really craving some good pizza or Italian food and my Yelp app pointed me in their direction. What a find, it's a smaller restaurant on the bottom floor of the Hampton Inn. They have an outdoor eating area, and a little larger area inside, no bar but you can get cocktails and beer. The pizza was great, it said personal pizza but definitely big enough for two if paired with a salad or appetizer. Everything I saw going out to the table looked amazing, I opted for the Carareggio pizza, and my husband the Supreme. As I sat there enjoying my pizza I couldn't help but debate which was more delicious, the food or the amazingly good looking Italian men that were working serving the food. I don't know the backstory here, is it family owned business? Are they all related? Whatever the case the food , service and friendliness of staff were fantastic. It was ooh-la-la. I honestly had low expectations for this place since it's part of a hotel but was pleasantly surprised. The Caesar salad was perfection and the meatballs were so flavorful and tender. I love that they serve these with focaccia sticks. It was all moderately priced which was a plus! read more

Pizza was really good and loved that they had interesting toppings to choose from. Best part is that the veggies were not crunchy/undercooked like a lot of other pizza joints. Wasn't bad heated up the next day either, pizza can be hit or miss with that. The 3 stars is mainly for the service. Didn't get great service at most places in Miami but it was especially poor here. read more
This was a nice quick place to stop by for dinner. We ate on the patio out front which was nice. I got a personal pizza with arugula & Parmesan - was delicious ! The meatball appetizer came out hot and fresh. These were good also. I ordered one of their drinks & it was gross-far too sweet. However, you absolutely MUST get the tiramisu. Stumbled upon this restaurant while walking down Collins and was surprised it wasn't busier. We were seating quickly and the service was fantastic! Someone came to check on us probably every 15 min and the manager even stopped by at the end. I HIGHLY recommend the garlic knots - they were to die for!!! The caesar salad was also very good and big enough to share. I didn't love the particular pizza flavor we chose, but I'm sure other options would be better. read more

SO GOOD!!!! I really recommend this place. Our server was super nice and sweet, really friendly and catered to our needs. Everything we got was so delicious! You cannot go wrong with anything you order here. Though, we probably wouldn't order the Carbonara pizza again just cause it wasn't our thing. Food is good overall, and the service is good too. The only downside is the check with default tip, and didn't notify me when I sign additional tip. (Not complaining, the service is good and it deserve the tip. But it is always good to inform people who pay the money. ) read more

Located on the 4000 block of Collins Avenue, away from the main scene of South Beach. This place also has outdoor seating. The inside of the restaurant doesn't necessarily give off a pizza shop vibes. For a pizza experience this one was very average. The pizzas are described to be personal pan however it is more like traditional small pizza which two people can share. The flavor of the pizza just was not as pronounced as I anticipated. The pizzas come out hot which could also contribute to the lack of flavor. The cheese was not solid and even after letting it cool it never solidified, leaving each bite to be a literal cheese pull. Some might like the image and fun sight of a cheese pull however I like the cheese on my pizza to be semi-solid especially considering this is an Italian restaurant. I might give it another try on my next trip to Miami. Given them a shot. read more

This is by far one of the best restaurants we have visited in Miami. Call me crazy but it is. The service was wonderful. The food was delicious. We enjoyed garlic knots, 4 cheese pizza, arugula salad with chicken and an ice cream dessert that was outstanding. They have a wonderful formula here. No attitude. All class. Great food. Great choices. Fresh food. Just the right amount of menu items to choose from. Something for everyone and the prices are right. We will be back for sure. Thanks for a great meal. read more

Man this pizza joint is a Miami Beach must!! The outside patio is nice and it's spacious, so perfect for people watching. But it's the pizza that really blew me away. I absolutely love the thin crust, it just makes the cheese, sauce and toppings pop!! We also ordered the garlic knots. The dough is so savory that it kind of had the consistency of cheese. Piola also has beer and wine that will add to your eating experience. You can order take-out to bring back to your hotel room, beach or wherever. I certainly recommend this pizza joint, it was honestly one of the more refreshing places I've eaten at on my stay here. read more
I was skeptical of a restaurant attached to a Hampton Inn at first, but the live music drew us in. There was an excellent guitar player on the patio on Friday night and the vibe was just right for a casual dinner. Carafes of wine? Yes please!! We got the Ortomisto pizza, which had a thin crust and was light but very flavorful, and the gnocchi legnano which was very rich and creamy. Ended with a tiramisu which was not too heavy and just the right amount of sweet. There's plenty of very fancy food in Miami Beach, but if you want to take it easy for a night and enjoy a simple meal with live music, Piola is a great choice! read more
