I come in at 1 and they tell me it would be a 4 hour wait. Also due to not enough techs which was never mentioned on the phone. Then they tell me to come in on Saturday at 8:45 AM and I did not get out of the place until 11. Still another car placed before me. They couldn't do alignment and said I needed new inner and outer tie rods.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] " After going back and forth and asking me if Imread fine line in Groupon. plus warning me ahead of time. I knew this was too good to be true. The mechanic showed me tie rods need fix. I ask the rude guy how much but I had already step outside to compose myself. checking parts and labor thinking 500. I go back inside and he quotes me 1,300 o but I'll wave the 45. I laughed at him still raising his voice at me. I tell him Im leaving a bad review. He goes belictick on me. "saying what did I do " I realize this place is a scam even before I know there rating are bad. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lady behind the other desk comes out with 2 Texas Roadhouse coupons to off set the 45.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If I pay by credit they want 5%. So I give them a 100. Guess what no change. My experience was not so great. We had an estimate of 4600 for a front end collision. We were told two weeks ago we may need a new radiator. On Monday May 5th the collision shop called and said we had a balance of 1554 left after we had been paying on the balance while they worked on the car. When we went to pay the balance today we were told we had to pay 3900. The owner had no proof or paperwork showing why the balance increased so much he just said the radiator cost over $600 and we had to install a condenser which also added to the balance. The radiator and condenser was for a 2019 Hyundai tuscan. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were not told about the balance until today. We did not agree to the balance and he never even told us he installed it[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had spoke to other people who also worked there and "who called us" when the truck was completed assured us that the balance was 1554.00.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]No communication or nothing all we got from the owner is the girl gave us the wrong balance. But still did not have an invoice for the updated balance. Nothing but his word.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I do not recommend this collision shop. The owner also stated he didnt charge us for the labor of the radiator. So this means radiator and condenser were $2300 parts only. Since when did a radiator cost $2300 by itself? Without labor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sent my teenage son to handle his own business, for him to wind up being taking advantage of.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He did purchase a Groupon, and for the shops defense, told him if they couldn't do the alignment that there would be a hoist fee. My son asked them ahead of time for price of an oil change and they told him $50. Why did my son just leave there paying almost $120 for an oil change and hoist fee and no alignment? Quoted him $750 for tie rods that a few mins later magically changed to a good deal of $450. So if my son was a paying customer, why not waive the hoist fee? That would be good business. PLEASE, STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Their business practices are borderline illegal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From my experience they are incredibly rude to customers and will ignore your calls if you consistently call from the same phone number to avoid talking to you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Updating you on your car's status is something they actively avoid doing and will even get angry with you for asking about.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They stole my car for 5 months claiming that each time they made repairs that it still had problems. The mechanics also clearly used the car to run personal errands, as they left receipts for random non-repair related purchases in the car that have the name of the company on them. Eventually the car was moved to another mechanic, who had the car fully repaired and back to me in less than a week. These guys are either so incompetent they can't fix in 5 months what another mechanic could do in 6 days, or they're purposely stealing cars from their customers and not repairing them. read more

They called and canceled on me the day brute saying they were gonna close early for the holiday (not my fault).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They told me to call back and reschedule but it had to be before 3:00 , I called for 2 weeks trying to get in and they kept saying they were too busy . Finally after 2 weeks they were able to get me in just to tell me that they couldn't give me the alignment because one tire wasn't as good as the other which was BS .[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On top of that they charged me $25 for an inspection , but they didn't inspect anything all I wanted was an alignment that I legitimately paid for . Very sketchy people messy building I should have known better I don't think they care about Groupon customers at all . When I picked it up they askari wanted to charge me $175 for anew tire, and almost $930 for another part. None of which had anything to do with my alignment. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE... This review has been updated multiple times, because my car has been in there four times for the same issue... Abe was amazing! I took my new car in for an inspection at Firestone to make sure everything was good with it, and they said it was one of the best used cars they'd seen... then half an hour later they came and told me it wasn't starting.. instead of fixing it or offering to make it right, they had me tow it somewhere else... once I had it towed to Pioneer it did take Abe a minute to figure out exactly what Firestone messed up, but after a new starter, new battery, reprogramming the key, and then the CPU he got it working again! He kept me updated and worked with the insurance company so I didn't have to, and even times when I got a little frustrated he was very kind and understanding. Highly recommend!! Update: the car is now intermittently stalling when stopped at red lights and on hills, brought the car back again... they're now replacing the whole cpu. Update: car is still intermittently stalling, I dropped my car off four days ago and was told I'd get a call by 2pm the next day, still no call.. I called them, and they have yet diagnose it.. this is the third time it's been in their shop for the same issue... we'll see if it gets resolved this time. Update: my car has been in the shop 56 days out of the 81 days I've owned it.. they've now replaced a part in the key, and when they test drove it... it stalled and needed to be towed back to their shop, again.. I was told they can't fix it, and they'd write me a letter stating such for Carvana.. then the next day they call me and say it's ready to be picked up??? It was a loose battery cable?? I was told they replaced the battery, and this is the fourth repair they've tried... why wouldn't a knowledgeable mechanic have checked that by now!? This is issue was happening before and after the battery was replaced so I highly doubt this was actually the issue... we'll see how it takes before my car is back AGAIN 11/8 my car has been there this time since 11/2 this time... I was told it was ready for pick up 10/3 and when I showed up it wasn't starting.. Carvana asked for a letter saying the mechanic properly fix the car... Abe sent my garbage letter, and when I sent it to Carvana.. Carvana called the shops to verify the letter and they told Carvana I was lying and they didn't write the letter and the car was ready for pick up... I searched the name the email came from and sure enough his employees Facebook pops up... I showed up to pick up my car, they refused to give me an invoice for the dates 11/2-11/8 and called the police on me... I had the police witness my car not starting and had them put that in their report to prove the shop is lying on top of the Facebook profile... My car needed repair. Gave us some bullshyt diagnostic test. Messed up my car worse than it was. Had taken it to them 3 to 4 time. Ended up calling the STATE OF MICH to report them. Found out from state agent. They have been ran out of several states n Michigan and changed names many time. Company is n his wife's name now. Never do business with this repair shop or his collision shop on Wayne rd. Nor Darren who rents a repair shop from the owner of pioneer auto repair. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!!! I had paint come off my door on my 2019 jeep, as I was at the paint shop looking for ways to fix this issue, I met a gentlemen named Travis who works at Pioneer Collision in Westland , after talking to him he suggested I come down and get an estimate, not only was the estimate fair, Abe the owner and Travis stayed over to get the job done within a few hours, they did an outstanding job, in my opinion they went over and above my expiations to get the job done when most places would have said we are about to close come back on Monday, I am pleased with the work that was done and highly recommend them to anyone in need of body / paint work done, Thank you Abe, Thank you Travis. Then after he left I was still in the restroom and they locked the door and told me I was not allowed to leave and as a 14 year old girl, that was very scary and traumatic. Stopped in for a wheel alignment which they knew I had a Groupon. They could not perform the alignment since my tires were to far gone due to outer tie rods being worn out. Quoted $500-$700 in repairs. The shop that ended up doing the alignment said tie rods were fine less tires. Beware of up-charges if using any Groupon deals. read more

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. The accountability is not there when they cant figure out the actual issue of your car. Do not go to this location. They could be the last auto shop in mi and you should still avoid them. They will try to fix your car, replace some things and when they can't figure it out? I would give -5/5 star for pioneer auto care. barely could give me a correct time for when my car would be done. Way too over priced for the little work they did. Would not go back. Terrible experience! Refuse to use Groupon gift for brake pads even though didn't specifically say, you couldn't use this if you had other work done besides the pads. Refuse also to take the money value off for the Groupon gift for the brake pads too. Also didn't tell me that they were going to do an oil change/alignment free for my car. read more

I should've listened to the previous review from another groupon customer but i thought for forty five bucks for a 4-wheel alignment, the groupon deal was worth a risk. But i smelled something fishy when they came back telling me that they couldn't do the alignment because "there's something wrong with the wheel bearing" and it will cost about $500 to fix. So immediately i thought hmmm, this sounds oddly similar to that other customer's review. Different issues with the wheels but same situation which is, they can't perform the alignment so they tell you another problem which is going to cost you a lot more money which is their main goal in the first place. So i took my car to another shop and viola! There was nothing wrong with the wheel bearing but another issue that costs much cheaper to fix. I therefore conclude that it's their modus operandi, selling you this really cheap service but they have no intention of performing that service other than to sell you with something that is multiple times more expensive. Stay far away from these scam artists! read more

I was truly thrown for a loop with this one. I've been to many reputable car and body shops over the years and thought upon initially meeting Abe, the owner, and some of his staff, that I was going to receive stellar service. The first red flag should have been when I arrived for my 9 A.M. appointment only to be told the secretary who scheduled me wouldn't be in until 9:30 A.M. Since this owner has two businesses on Wayne Rd in Westland, a collision shop and an auto repair shop just across the street, I immediately drove over to the auto shop to see what was going on. The gentleman at the counter was nice enough to call Abe and remind him of my appointment. After which, Abe had one of his mechanics, who was also very nice, drive me home, so I wouldn't have to wait around the shop all day. That was a kind gesture that I really appreciated! What I didn't appreciate was the second red flag. Despite dropping my car off at 9 A.M. I hadn't heard anything from the shop by 2:30 P.M. When I called, Abe said his crew didn't have an opportunity to look at my car yet and to give him more time. No problem. When my husband got home at around 3:30 P.M. he wanted an update, so I called Abe again. What I wasn't expecting was for Abe, the owner of all people, to tell me and my husband to stop calling him every 5 minutes, and that he'd get to the car when he could. That was rude and inaccurate because it hadn't been five minutes since I'd last called him. Even if it was, why would you tell a customer to stop calling you? Wow! After that encounter, we waited around to hear something back from Pioneer Collision. We never did. At 5 P.M. we decided go and get the car before they closed for the day. I was absolutely outdone when we arrived, and I saw my car in the parking lot with the trunk open. It was raining and my personal items were exposed. No one was in site. Anyone could have come and removed the contents from my car. To make matters worse, when we went into the shop, Abe acted like he had no idea who we were, which admittedly was surprising and aggravating at the same time. In the midst of me being speechless, he went on to say that he wasn't getting paid for this estimate and that we could go somewhere else if we wanted. Wow Again! I couldn't believe how dismissive he was considering our initial interaction, the fact that I could have easily gone to any other collision shop, and that I had left my car there ALL day! What a let down! If getting paid for the estimate was a priority, that should have been shared up front! I don't deny that this company does good work. I really don't know. What I am concerned about is the lack of common courtesy we received. The customer service was disappointingly amiss. If business is good, and new clients aren't needed, I guess that's great! However, one's circumstances can change in an instant, so it's always important to remain humble!!! read more
