It should be illegal for this company to offer alterations!! Not only do they NOT know how to sew, they DON'T even realize they DON'T know how to sew (see pics). I was charged $75 upfront! The lady at the counter was nice enough but the prices are way too high! I brought in 1 pair of pants to be hemmed and a zipper replaced on another and they charged me over $60! Prices are not posted anywhere so you are kind of stuck. I've never paid that much for a zipper or have a pair of pants hemmed and I will definitely not be back. All together many bill was $80 which included a blazer getting dry cleaned. I think I need to learn how to sew! read more

Most dry cleaning $2.69! Only $.99 for laundering men's shirts. This is a dry cleaner and laundry spot run by a sweet couple. The business is on the corner of Live Oak and Haskell and has been around for years and years. There are parking spaces in front of the entrance on Live Oak as well as a few on the side on Haskell. I try to not buy things that require dry cleaning because I find the whole thing to be a huge hassle, but the people at this location make it less daunting. The check in process takes a little bit of time if you bring in a huge pile of stuff, but they are meticulous to itemize everything. I have used this establishment for years. I'm not one to drop off a few things. I drop off 50 plus items, all from Neimans, Nordstroms, Saks, and vintage Versace, etc. After this last nearly $400 bill, and receiving a pair of pants that had been previously cleaned there last year, and they busted off the Coogi button, and not being able to make my dinner @ Commander's Palace in New Orleans, I was pissed. I had also dropped off the jacket, of the suit, I paid $1400 that had slight moth damage, from my father's funeral. This suit has a great deal of sentimental value to me. I was quoted $350 for the repair. I've also had a new, perrywinkle blue Polo shirt returned with apparent bleach stains previously. At the same time I picked up the vintage Coogis, I also picked up a pair of Brooks Brothers shorts that had to blue pen stains on them. The short of the story is that this imbasil has no clue how to care for expensive garments. I wear the best, and I am willing to try to help an underdog stay in business. Not anymore! This place needs to be shut down. He absolutely destroyed my father's burial suit, I wore for his funeral. The Polo is only good for tidying, and the yellow Brooks Brothers shorts are yet to get a verdict. STAY AWAY AND FORCE THIS NIMWIT OUT OF BUSINESS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I've passed this cleaners for literally years and never stopped. It's much closer to my new place and I needed some stuff cleaned so despite the 50/50 yelp reviews, I gave them a chance. THEY DID A FANTASTIC JOB. I had clothes I've had cleaned many times over elsewhere and these clothes looked better than they had in months. So stoked. It wasn't expensive either. The older gentleman behind the counter was sweet and I helped him thread a needle, you know, younger eyes here and all. He was very appreciative. So, now I have a new dry cleaner. Sorry, US Cleaners. I have been coming to this dry cleaner for almost ten years, and even though I've lived all over the city, I keep coming back. They know me by name, shirts are cheap (go with no starch) and I can just dump a bag of clothes out and run right back to my car. There's always parking out front. They will do same-day if you get there early (before 9am, but the earlier the better). It's super easy to pull in here on your way to East Dallas from Downtown or Deep Ellum. The owner-operator is a very nice and friendly man. He never complains that I don't bring the hangers back or leave my clothes there for a week when I forget or spend my dry cleaning money at the bar. He doesn't judge me based on how long the clothes have been sitting in the bag before I bring them in. Over the years I've rushed in with a sob story and a stain, and he gets it out that very day and I have the item ready to wear that night! He seems to genuinely enjoy what he does, and represents the last generation of local business owners doing something of-the-past: carefully cleaning important garments. Nobody dresses nice any more, but if they knew they could get out of doing their laundry for $40, maybe they would. Well, I suppose not every company can be 100% on top of things. But I find that when a mistake is made and a shirt is ruined, the worst thing a business can do is blame the customer. This my friends is exactly what happened. I brought in a 60.00 Express dress shirt to get dry cleaned. I only wore once and dry cleaning it would've kept it looking new. And since pioneer has had a good track record (minus a couple of other minor issues not worth mentioning) I figured they'd be my go to cleaners. I turn it into them and they'd have it ready the next day. Next day rolls around and I come to pick it up. I look at it and it's dirtier than I had left it with them. It looked ironed but almost looked burnt. The sheen that I had on that shirt was gone and there were two white spots on both front sides that weren't there when I had turned it in. It looked like the shirt was bought at a thrift store. A shirt I had recently bought and wore ONE TIME. I put it to the owner's attention he says we'll send it back and get it done correctly. (I was already concerned that the shirt would never look new just from the sheen disappearing but I gave them the benefit of a doubt. Next day : Shirt is looks pretty much the same. He says the same thing.. So I'm patient. The Next day: Same shirt / Same issue. He says the same thing..except this time he says he's going to call me. (By this time I'm beginning to lose my patience.) Waited 3 days: no phone call.....at all. That Next day: I come walking in. He says "we fixed your shirt!" I said great! Let's see it! He pulls it out. The spots are a little faded but still there. The sheen of the shirt didn't magically appear back. So I inform him this was a new shirt I had only wore once. This shirt isn't wearable now to me. Then he starts in saying "Well, it's possible that your cologne could've reacted with the cleaning solution when it was dry cleaned." This shocked the hell out of me when I heard the guy say that. It was by that time I knew I was never going to get my 60.00 new shirt I wore once back. It's was ruined and nothing more was going to be done.. So I'm out of 60.00 to have to buy a new shirt. Unfortunately, I can't see myself going back to these guys again due to this whole experience. read more

I have used this cleaners twice since it's closer to where I am staying. However, I did ask to have starch on my collar last Thursday only but it seems they could not do that. It had to be the entire blouse and my collar still did not look good once I had it on. These are my clothes for work only. I have to dress professional. My blouses do not look as good in the collar area when I wear them. So I am trying a different cleaners where my sister goes that is about 7 miles away. Maybe I will be back. read more

I dropped off a shirt for work to dry clean and starch. I specified dry clean, and starch please. The next day I come in when he told me to, and my shirt wasn't there. Apparently a bulk of the dry cleaning is sent to a warehouse in Plano and then is delivered back to him. Somehow my shirt didn't manage to make it back. This wasn't the best...considering I had work in the morning the next day and needed it for work! He profusely apologized, said I wouldn't pay and said that he would call me the SECOND it got in the next day. At this point I wasn't really trusting so I went there early and sat in the parking-lot. I arrived the same time as the "delivery van." I sat in my car for ten minutes past my shirt arriving...with no call. When I went in he gave it to me, charged me the full amount and said have a good day. Still a little upset, but nothing bad. When I got home I opened up the bag, they didn't clean the shirt. They starched it heavily...but it was still wrinkly and had stains on it still. In addition I somehow got a waxy spot on the back of my shirt? WTF I'm seeing good reviews from other people...but I have no idea what happened to me. read more

BEWARE! This place is horrible. I took 10 Polo's for dry cleaning and all 10 pf my shirts were still dirty when I picked them up. I had them re-do my shirts over the weekend, when I picked them up on Monday...3/25/013....THEY WERE STILL DIRTY! ( had to bring to another cleaners). Furthermore, they advertise they're open for 7:10am...there has been mornings I had to wait to drop my clothes. Their customer service is horrible also. I took a dress in to be dry cleaned on Tuesday. I do not have much dry cleaning done, and I had seen the advertised $.99 for shirts so I figured the dress wouldn't be too much. When I asked the gentleman who helped me as I dropped off the dress how much it would cost, he replied, "A couple of dollars." I figured even if it was $2.99, that was a good price - I was expecting around $5. I went in to pick up the dress today (Friday), and there was the initial gentleman who helped me and another gentleman. The second gentleman retrieved my dress as I got out a few dollars. He rang it up and told me "$8.64". I was shocked and told him that the other gentleman had told me it would be "a couple of dollars." The second gentleman laughed and replied, "No, a dress is $7.99." I am extremely displeased because I was misinformed and then, instead of an apology, I got laughed at an insulted. I understand that $8 may be the going rate to dry clean a dress, but I feel like I was taken advantage of. read more

They do a good and timely job. They ask when I need my clothes back by, and I usually say 2-3 days, but they claim they can turn it around quicker if need be and sometimes a day. They know and recognize you, and are nice people. Overall, I haven't had many issues since coming here in the last 8 or 9 months. read more

I would honestly give them 0 stars if Yelp allowed it. Under no circumstances should you give these people your business. When dropping curtains off to be hemmed I was told the tailor wasn't there but would call me with a quote before beginning the work. When I finally spoke to the gentlemen I told him I thought the price was too high. He then attempted to haggle with me - to which I did not take kindly. I'm not trying to short change anyone, but I genuinely didn't feel the price was fair so I told him NOT to alter the items & that I would pick them up the next week after I got back in town. When I arrived to pick them up they'd hemmed them any way & attempted to bully me into paying for hemming services that I explicitly did NOT AUTHORIZE! After a few terse comments back & forth I opted to just leave the curtains with them. So now I am out my curtains AND I have to pay to buy new ones! This place has the absolute worst business ethics I've ever seen. I just hope the universe is more forgiving than I am! read more
