Just came across his business card on my desk and wanted to share my thoughts. Had used him once upon recommendation from a neighbor and he did great work and I was excited to have someone as an option to use in the future. Surprisingly, when I made an appointment with him in the future (which was like pulling teeth if you read my follow ups below) he ultimately never responded to my texts or phone calls to follow up, when he should have followed up with me for setting a date for the appointment, but never followed up again even after I followed up many times. Very disappointing since he did great work, but waiting for someone who never follows up after making an appointment date is not someone I would ever consider to use again. History of texts: -11-25-19: Asked about having work done at 2 locations for tankless water heater service. He responds with rates. Told CJ want to use him again and might have a neighbor, who might want to use at same day -11-26-19 Followed up by text- no response- voicemail full -11-27-19 Followed up by text. Heard back and waiting to schedule -12-11-19 Followed up by text to ask when we could get on calendar -12-12-19 Followed up by text to ask if still interested in 2 jobs since no response. We discuss dates by text and he tells me that he would come on Saturday, 12-28-19 and I give addresses -12-27-19 Followed up by text to ask what time we would meet the next day and which location would be first. -12-27-19 Followed up by text to ask what was going on since no response about time to meet and which location. We've been using CJ as our go to plumber for years, and I can't recommend him highly enough. Does great work, and has very reasonable rates. In fact at one point he came over to fix our disposal and it turned out we had just turned off a switch. Even though he spent a lot of time with scheduling, getting here, etc., he refused to take payment. Top notch integrity and top notch work. read more

I have a schedule appt with this plumbing company.... new era plumbing for garages disposal, rep name CT he say he is a "Manager " & there no1 above him!!! He literally text me and confirm the appointment for Monday 8/14 (7am-11). Here come Monday , I took everything under my sink , I txt & called him .. I didn't get a responded until 10:08 am. He like "O I made a mistake & put you the schedule for Tuesday!!! Remember I took everything under my sink & I have to go to work by 12pm .. He didn't think it's was a "Big Deal " O well do you want to reschedule or not? I told that unacceptable & bad customer service ... He didn't even sound sincere about it ... !!! Then I asked him I need his boss name & corp office ......He responded was there no one above him.... Then he say again do you want to rescheduled or not ??? That type of behavior should never be allowed to run any business or to interact with any customer!!! The worst company I ever dealt with.... They are horrible.... These guys are fantastic. After my horrible experience with One Stop Plumbing and Rooter from Whittier, it was very refreshing to deal with professionals. Called New Era to come by and check out the plumbing for our new bathroom vanity based on their close proximity and solid Yelp reviews, and we were definitely not disappointed! CJ and his partner (already forgot his name..I'm horrible about that) arrived on time and were very friendly and professional. They took a look at our project and quoted us a very reasonable price to which we agreed. They needed to go grab a few parts, returned quickly, and had the job done beautifully in a very timely manner. CJ was fantastic to work with! We discovered that our garbage disposal was leaking late on a Friday. I called CJ around 4:30 pm and he was at our house within a half hour. He confirmed we needed a new disposal and my husband said he'd pick one up on the way home. CJ offered to come over between 8-9 Saturday morning to install it. At 8am sharp he showed up on our doorstep and the disposal was installed twenty minutes later (the power cord had already been wired). I had a leak under my kitchen sink. When I contacted new ere, they were willing to work around my schedule. Very prompt in showing up and found the problem was a bad faucet. They went to Home Depot, purchased a new one and installed. All of this in a 2 hour period. I definitely will use them again and refer them to my friends. read more

My realty company uses a few plumbers but I'll always request CJ with New Era. The most knowledgeable, professional and quick response place in LA. He's come out on emergency-middle-of-a-weekend night job and even other times to fix an issue a different plumber caused. The last situation was funny because a different company said I had a 4 hour job issue and I kid you not CJ came and completed it in 10 minutes. He knows his stuff! I filled out the appointment request online late in the afternoon and CJ called back within the hour (most other services I've experienced would reply to a request a couple days later at the earliest or not at all!). I called to have them come out for an estimate on some fairly major work we needed done. They answered their phone promptly and set an appointment window for the next morning. Unfortunately, they never showed. They didn't call to say they couldn't come, needed to reschedule, nothing. I'd be hesitant to use them when they can't even be relied upon to show up.
