Delicious food -- but better to eat in than order out as I recently learned when I tried to order over the phone. I wanted to order a deluxe/supreme pizza. I was told by the person taking my order that a pizza with everything was not something they did... even after trying multiple times to explain that when I dine in I never have a problem ordering a pizza with lots of toppings. Anyways... I was told that each item I wanted on the pizza would be $2 a piece. When he rang me up the large pizza I was ordering was going to be upwards of $50. I passed and went elsewhere. I've been here once because my wife wanted to check it out and honestly, it is not much better than their location in North County with one exception: The decor is pretty decent. The pizza still is not very good, otherwise, we would probably eat from here quite often as it is just around the corner from the house. They also used to be pretty busy when they first opened, but every time I drive by, there is usually plenty of parking available. If the owners happen to read this, please, please, please do something, anything to add flavor to your pizza. I love this place. I grew up eating their food up in Old Florissant and now that I've moved away from that area, I don't eat there as much anymore. So when I get to go, it's a treat. Why, you ask? THE SALAD DRESSING. I know - it's a pizza joint. But their own Italian oil and vinegar salad dressing is amazing. My sister and I always ask them to start bottling and selling it but no bueno. :( But that dressing, combined with fresh, crisp lettuce, tomatoes and about a pound of provel cheese makes for a darn good dinner salad. Simple and to the point. We also split a pizza three ways - we ordered a large and still had some left over. Their pizza is yummy - thin crust with crisp pepperoni slices and ooey, gooey cheese. Top that with a little parm and it's a good day. For this visit we went to the St. Peters location - the restaurant was clean and well lit and the service was great. Fell in love with Pirrone's at the Florissant location. Was overjoyed when I found one out here. Just ordered today. Because I had a groupon, and couldn't order online, I had to call in my order. My only special request was to write something, or draw something, funny on the box. Told them that we also didn't care if it was ridiculously inappropriate. Boy did they write something hilarious! A solid 3 stars for the $10 lunch buffet. Plain lettuce with pizza topping choices for the salad portion. No additional fruit, salads or even normal salad toppings like carrots or cucumbers. Toasted ravioli & ziti pasta with red sauce were as expected. There were about 8 types of pizza to choose from. Pretty standard toppings like pepperoni, sausage, cheese & veggie; no special or particularly interesting combinations or toppings. They did bring out a pizza every 5 mins or so assuring there was always pizza on the buffet. Drinks were additional $2.50. They charged me $5 each for my 8 & 3 yr old who ate 5 pieces of pizza max together. All in all not a great deal for someone who's looking to eat an average amount of food for lunch. I guess if you plan on going and eating 2 whole pizzas then it's a great deal. Just not enough variety to make it worth the money for our family. read more

Great pizza in an unusual building. High ceiling and very open/minimal decor feel. Reminds me of the "It's a Better Burger" on Dorsett road in that regard. The other thing these two establishments share in common is great value and best in class food. Nice to see a small local place compete and do well against the national chains. Typically, Pirrones is my favorite pizza in STL. But stay away from take out at this location. It's been bad before but this weekend they had everything wrong and we ended up throwing away most of the food and getting nothing back. Our plain wings, that we went over and over on the phone, actually had extra sauce on them, and the pizza was burnt so bad top and bottom it was inedible. If I didn't know better, it looked deliberate! The area around the bar was swamped with folks waiting for takeout, as usual, and mainly teens running things. There was no where to even set the food down for a quick inspection unless we wanted to put it on the floor. I hate having to post a review like this bc of my fondness for the brand, but there have been just too many times of problems and this one pushed me over the edge. You can't even call to complain bc after 6PM on a weekend they can't answer the phone. Don't get me wrong, I'll likely try dine in here in the future. Been visiting this location about once a week for about 4 years for lunch buffet. Food is always fresh and the staff is so friendly. They treat us like family :) My daughter Ky loves the pasta and in the Summer they put fresh fruit on the buffet opposed to soup choices in the winter. Sat at the bar with no acknowledgment from the girl at the end of the bar, okay maybe she is not the bartender and goes to the back kitchen. Then the young man sitting at the bar goes in the Kitchen to tell her the phone is ringing. My husband and I, along with 2 other couples went for dinner at Pirrones on Monday Feb. 10th. Our group goes to dinner every Monday to a regular spot. Last night we decided to go to Pirrones for a change. Mistake on our part. While trying to have conversation and dinner, the table next to us had several children running and screaming non stop throughout the restaurant like they were at Chuckie Cheese. Running into the bar area playing while other families were trying to have a nice dinner. Parents did nothing. This went on for most of our visit. When I went up to the bar to ask for the manager, the man I spoke with said he was the manager. Not only did he look to be 15 years old, he proceeded to say, "There's nothing I can do about it." I, shockingly, went to the table that was located in the bar area and asked the family if that was bothering them. They said they couldn't believe this was being allowed and were packing up to leave. The sad thing is that, while our food was very good, unfortunately none of us will return. The man I spoke with was so unprofessional and made the entire place unappealing as to how he responded to me. People go out to places like that to have a nice dinner and to converse with their party. That was extremely painful to do last night. Might want to consider some management training. Hopefully the family with the children will not return for the sake of your other customers, as apparently management does not care about their other customers or the safety of the children that were running around like animals. I ordered online from pirrones on 12/6/2016. The salads received had dressing drenched all over them when it was supposed to be on the side this caused the salads unable to eat. I called st peters pirrones back to help me resolve this issue and the person whom answered the phone was rude and unwilling to fix problem. i spend between 40-60 dollars everytime i place an order. i will not be ordering from the sr peters pirrones anymore. I personally don't care for the flavor of the pizza, something about it (maybe the cheese and crust) it is just unappealing to me. However, my husband loves it so I go. The dinner salad is pretty good, but make sure you ask for the dressing on the side, otherwise it's drowning in it. Went there for curbside last Friday after calling in order and credit card. They told me 45 and I waited an additional 20 when I got there. That was no big deal but what was disturbing is the lady came close to my window without a mask to ask my name and then came back again to have me sign the receipt. She then left the receipt book and ran to get another order and another lady without a mask came to get it. That's 3 times and 2 different people I was exposed to. Love the pizza but it's not worth the risk. Other pizza place we like doesn't make us sign and they wear masks so that's for us in the future. read more

Awful service, okay overpriced pizza. This place has terrible service and a very rude server. If you get the old fat blond hoosier chick working the bar area then I feel very sorry for you because she defines poor customer service. We ordered a large pizza and 40 mins later it still wasn't there so my wife asked her if our pizza would be ready soon. Old hoosier server tells my wife can't you see how busy we are. The pizza magically arrived a few minutes later and we were told that she pulled it right off the oven rack which technically she isn't supposed to even do. Whoa thanks for going above and beyond by pulling the pizza yourself. What a joke! Won't be coming back here, clearly run by idiots. read more
