Came in for yet another birthday brunch! Had heard about their brunch but had not the pleasure of indulging. We came in and we were promptly seated and quickly given our menus, introduced to the new specials off the menu and how the brunch menu worked. After reviewing the menus, we decided on the brunch menu. This is one of the best restaurants in Kendall which, isn't say much but, they do a great job with tasty reimagined Peruvian dishes. It's got a great vibe (depending on day and time), a great bar and is reasonably priced. Definitely try the crocante, the empanadas and the fried rice. While in town for the holidays, my friends and I wanted to grab happy hour somewhere near home. Pisco Y Nazca came up, and we figured we try it out. Happy hour is until 7pm, and every single item on the drink menu is half off! Yes, you heard me, every single item (including pitchers) are HALF OFF. If that's not enough to bring you to Pisco Y Nazca, then let's talk about the food. I ordered the small serving of the traditional ceviche, and two papas bravas. My friends ordered vegetables salteados, empanadas, and tequenos to share. To top off our meal, we decided to share the chocolate dome dessert at the end. Everything, and I mean everything, was delicious. The papas bravas only had a small complaint from me, and that was they were slightly more greasy than I like, but other than that, I loved them. The vegetables were seasoned perfectly, the empanadas were deliciously paired with their own dipping. And that dessert was just a delicious bite of heaven for me. The reason I deducted one star... Though I definitely recommend the food & drinks, the ambiance at Pisco Y Nazca is nothing unique. It falls into the category of another modern/trendy joint you won't remember exists, which is very common in Miami. Everything blurs and looks the same. The service is okay. Basically, it started off excellent and our server was on top of everything, however, as we were finishing up, he disappeared. We had to ask for water and our check from another nearby server, and roughly fifteen minutes later, our server appeared again. Overall, I would come back to Pisco Y Nazca, if I'm in town. It's a great place flor lunch. They have a prefix menu 18 for course and 23 for a 3 course menu. My dad chose the 2 course menu, having tostones as an appetizer and Tallarín Saltado as an entree, my girlfriend ordered a Creamy Ceviche and I ordered arroz chaufa. Went to Pisco and Nazca while visiting family in Miami. When we arrived the place was packed. We managed to find a table on the patio, but were not approached by a server for at least 15 minutes. One of the bartenders came over and apologized for the delay and brought us waters and menus. Apparently, they weren't expecting the crowds and weren't staffed appropriately. He was really nice and apologetic, and that made that little bump easier to swallow. We ordered the tostones as appetizers, and a Pisco Sour, both of which were delicious, if not a little pricey for the portion sizes. 3.5 Pisco y Nazca sits in the midst of a buzzing Town & Country Mall and its surrounding suburbia. Arrived on time for our reservation and were seated right away by the very merry hostess. It took a while for our waiter to come by to take our order, but he did initially pop in to say he was finishing up elsewhere and would be with us right away. Wine finally decanting ($20 corkage fee) and appetizer orders in, we were on our way. The restaurant is large and the open kitchen is towards the back. That kitchen was non-stop from the moment we sat down. The staff never stopped moving, cooking, plating, etc. The place was completely full and had a seemingly great vibe. There is a bar anchoring the space which seemed to be a popular hangout. THE FOOD: PLANCHA PULPO: nicely seasoned and cooked. Good, but could have been hotter. BUTICHINO: pork nikkei, hoisin mayo, pickled salsa criolla, and lotus root chips. These were tasty. Really good and my favorite appetizer of the three. The chips were stale though, that was disappointing. RAVIOLES DE PEPIÁN: cilantro pepian, aji panca cream, goat cheese, peas and corn. The ravioli is topped with the hearty pepian which is basically a creamy stew. Good, but also not hot. PASTA MACHO: not as exceptional as La Mar's, but pretty close. Squid ink noodles, clams, mussels, shrimp, corvina, rich macho sauce, parmesan. LOMO SALTADO: good. The stir fried filet mignon was juicy and on point: soy sauce, vinegar, onions, tomato wedges, and arrow con choclo. JUGOSITO: Dear Pisco, please serve this one with a generous piece of hot, crusty bread! This risotto (which WAS hot!) comes with prawns, mussels, calamari, and an aji panca broth. Very good! CHOCOLATE DOME: sweet potato custard and a warm ganache is topped with liquid white chocolate which then melts the dome to reveal it all. Gimmicky, yes. But it was very good. SUSPIRO DE GUANÁBANA: torn about this dessert. With the exception of maybe icing or cotton candy, I'm not drawn to pink food. This guanabana and allegedly dulce de leche custard is topped with a purple corn meringue. The meringue was good, but couldn't get behind the custard. It was almost a little tart and I could not taste any dulce de leche at all. Meh. Overall, Pisco had some glorious moments with a couple of the dishes. Service was very good. Thing is...would I go out of my way just to come here from Broward like I do to go to Chef Adrienne's? No. And that's why I can't go with a solid 4 stars. There was nothing on there I absolutely have to have again. It also doesn't help that there's been an explosion of similar restaurants in Miami. Now, if I just happen to be in the area, I WOULD choose it over others already there. Perhaps next time I will try something that will captivate me. That said, if you do live in Dade, check them out especially for the drinks (those looked good!). It's definitively a departure from the excessive amount of chain-dining options in that area. read more

Kendall doesnt have much variety when it comes to upscale dining in a beautiful setting. This spot stands out. The ceviche is always delicious as are the cocktails. Both Fresh and flavorful. Try them all. For being located in a mall, Pisco y Nazca is gorgeous inside. The bar area is stunning and open to the outside which lets in fresh air and you forget the mall entirely. There is a lake with a fountain just outside where you can watch the sunset and its pretty romantic. read more

Why not five stars? The food is really good, the service is great, the place is fantastic, and they speak English! There is one thing in particular that Miami is starting to exploit, and that is the variety of cuisines and the endless possibilities for fusions. I mean, we fusion American cuisine a bit, but we haven't really started to fusion as much as we could. Pisco Y Nazca is one restaurant that practices this philosophy very well. I came here with my better half. She will only trek out to Peruvian restaurants. She's hardcore, it's either good or garbage. Pisco Y Nazca would be glad to know she really liked it there. We had the Ceviche Traditional, the Pasta Macho, the Pescado Andino, and we closed with an Arroz con Leche Cheesecake. We washed all this down with some Chicha Morada and some Pisco Punch(es). The drinks were really good, but the food is really outstanding. The ceviche was really good, fresh all around (it only takes 5 minutes to make a good ceviche), with the right amount of heat. The pasta was amazing, using the right ingredients again and using octopus/squid ink to give the pasta its beautiful dark color and awesome taste. The fish of the Pescado Andino was cooked perfectly and so was the quinoa. To end, the Arroz con Leche Cheesecake was delicious and beautifully presented. Repeat? As many times as I can. They participate in the Spice menu (2016), they have a happy hour, they do brunch, I mean, why not stop by? Last words: For those expecting a traditional Peruvian meal, this place is not the right restaurant for that. read more

From being seated close to others, ordering with fiesta server ( who shall remain nameless because karma will pay them back ten-times fold), the disappearing manager, up until settling the check for undrinkable drinks and causas that have no taste. Also the prices are just as high as a 5-star restaurant? They don't compare in service or quality. Maybe the prices are so high because people keep walking out, because I was not the only party of four that was unhappy the day of my visit. Pisco has been one of my preferred spots in Kendall for the past 10 years. However recently their service and cleanliness has deteriorated significantly specially at the bar. The arrogant attitude of one of their bartenders (Yasel) surely leaves a sour feeling. When placing orders his attention is elsewhere and requires repetition or forgets your order. Witnessed it happening three times during this visit. When coworkers asking him questions frequently shrugs his shoulders. Came here on a date night with my hubby and was looking for a lively place with a nice bar and homey ambience. We sat at the bar where we had the option to order a few drinks and appetizers. I had a few glasses of their white wine and the hubby had whisky on the rocks. For appetizers we ordered the tostones with pulled pork and their ceviche mixto. Both were delicious and the presentation was also beautiful. The portion was also decent, and after a few drinks, we agreed we were too full for an entree and went straight to the desserts. Pisco y Nazca is one of my go to Peruvian restaurants in Miami for such a long time however the service that I received last night was terrible. We were able to get a table really easily (no wait whatsoever) however, the server took forever to greet the table and the order came out wrong. My table ordered 2 pescado al lo mancho and one lomo saltado. We made sure to order tequenos since we know that the entrees take a while. When we got our food, he only came back with one pescado and one lomo....like??? There's 3 people at the table. He thought 2 people out of the 3 of us were only going to eat... that logic makes no sense. And we ordered with him in Spanish since his English wasn't the best. So I don't know where the confusion is. So we had to wait another 30 mins for the other entree. Finally, when we got the bill he ended up charging for the one missing entree... no discount, no free dessert, no apology from him or the manager. So unfortunate since I really love this restaurant, probably will still go to the Doral or Coral gables location instead. read more

Place is normally packed during the weekend, so if you want to avoid the wait come during the week or make a reservation early. They have a really nice bar area. First come first serve so grab a seat while they last. They normally have 3 bartenders which is great to keep the drinks flowing. You can also order food. The restaurant features an open kitchen concept. With plenty of seating and tables that can accommodate large groups. Outside seating is available for those who want to enjoy the night. Happy Hour 7 days a week from 4-7. Which is great change from the normal week day schedule. My favorite go to meal is the Que Bestia Burger. This burger is placed on a pretzel bun with tomato-panca chutney, rocoto pepper aioli, and shoestring potatoes. Comes with French fries and an amazing pink sauce. Great choice of local beers, wines, and specially drinks. Especially on happy hour prices. read more

I went to this restaurant for lunch on a weekday. I believe we were the only group in the restaurant. We decided to sit outside in the patio and enjoy the weather. The waiter was super polite and attentive. We decided to order multiple appetizers, including tequenos and tostones. Both dishes were amazing! We did not have to wait long for the food to arrive. When it made it to our table, it was hot and fresh. There is lots of parking near the restaurant, at least during lunch time. I did not see any valet services and there is not a parking garage nearby. More people arrived as we set there for lunch. The restaurant was relatively quiet. It was a great place for groups or date. Our server was Lauren. She deserves an extra star all on her own. She assisted when we needed and very informational and perfectly attentive throughout the evening. The courses all arrived with great timing. We started with the Tradicional ceviche and the Japanese Nikkei ceviche. Both were excellent taste and quality. Followed with the Plancha Pulpo which was very good. Main course consisted of a Pasta Macho and a Parihuela. The Pasta Macho was very tasty. The Parihuela was the only slight negative of the night. Ok I have been to this joint several times and I decided it is time for me to give a formal review and why I would recommend this place to anyone who appreciate a good Peruvian restaurant. What makes this place unique compared to other Peruvian restaurants is the feel of a gastropub/ Tapa bar, the plates here are designed to be shared. Located in the heart of West Kendall in the new remodeled Town & Country-Palms complex with plenty free parking, the setting is modern and with open sliding doors which give a nice breeze especially in the afternoon. We arrived with a party of five for lunch this past Saturday (9-3-16) and were seated within five minutes( although for dinner you will need to be a little patient since the wait time can be pretty long). Since it was the first time our friends were visiting Pisco y Nazca we decided to choose the Miami Spice Menu which includes a appetizer, entree and a dessert. We all ordered the mixed ceviche which includes fish, shrimp, and calamari with red pepper juice. The portion was very plentiful and very fresh. I recommend that you tell them to reduce the spiciness since you still want to enjoy the taste without burning yourself. My mine course was the seafood with risotto which was good but I was expecting a little more flavor. Don't get me wrong it was good but I was expecting a home run, but instead it reached third base. The dish included shrimp, octopus, calamaris and mussels. Then for dessert they brought out a warm passion fruit bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Super moist and warm with nice contrast with the cold creamy ice cream!!! Like I mentioned before, this place can get really busy and sometime the waiters are a little slow. One of our friends had to wait an extra five minutes after we all got our plates. But the vibe of Pisco Y Nazca is still a fun and lively place to go with friends and enjoy good food. read more

Ordered two pisco sour cathedrals. $24 each for a drink that went down like lemonade. $22 for the ceviche. I get a better and more generous portion at Islas Canarias. Ended up paying close to $150.
