If you're a pizza fanatic, I wouldn't recommend pit stop. The sauce was so sweet, it didn't even taste like pizza.

I've had both pizza places in town. Most importantly, Pit Stop is always consistent. Not to mention, more affordable. I've never gotten an incorrect order or had to wait more than 20 minutes. Which is a lot more than I can say for Mr. Earl's Pizza Time. read more

Had Earl's a couple years ago and thought this must have been the same place. I was searching for it here in yelp and figured it would be the best reviewed place in Heber-Overgard. Pit stop had the most reviews so I figured it was the place I went to years ago. I was confused and concerned after passing Earl's, the place I remembered going to from years ago...then realized Pit Stop was another place entirely. So here I am...apprehensive and walking in the Pit Stop...nothing but friendly people there today around noon. They were very helpful and friendly...but the pizza?!?!?!? This has to be one of the better pizzas I've had in years. You can actually taste the sauce...the sauce was thick and not chain bland. They didn't skimp on the sauce. The rest of the pizza was just as amazing. Great texture, great taste. It will be HARD to pass by them on the way home soon. Thank you for the great service today!!!! read more

Pizza was good, wings were dry & burnt on ends and barely any sauce which is a shame because the sauce had great flavor! Nice service :)

Excellent Supreme Pizza, very flavorful and lotsa toppings. The double cheese pizza was very good as well. The pizzas could have been cooked a minute or two longer but the pizza was delicious nonetheless. Best Pizza in Overgaard for sure and definitely in the White Mountains area. My husband and I stopped in after visiting our property for a bite to eat. When we walked in no one greeted us or said hello (even though there was a female at the counter) so, I walked to the counter (still no acknowledgement) and grabbed a menu and sat down. We sat for awhile and waited for someone to come over and take our order. My husband ended up going to the counter to place our order and when the food arrived the pizza was slightly under cooked and the calzone wasn't very saucy, the meat was bland and on a scale of 1-10 I would rate it a 6. I will never give my money to this establishment again and we will certainly find another place to eat next time we are in town. Overall, the people were rude and the food was mediocre. read more

For the love of pizza, please put your menu online. New customers have to just guess at what you have. You would have a lot more orders if people could read your menu somewhere and then call to order. I ordered a "supreme" pizza, which was delicious BTW, and a good size for a large. I would have ordered wings and salad and other stuff had I been able to read a menu. Just scan it, and upload to facebook or something. Its like 99 cents a year to host a single page website, that would work too. Pizza was GREAT. VERY good, and filling. Like a New York Pizza. Delish. read more

Not great, but very good, and best option in town. The best thing in lieu of an actual pizza order their pizza wheels; one order is large single serving for teenagers, but adults could probably split. And ask for an extra helping of sauce on the side. read more

Hard to come up and not eat here. We are in town about half our time now and love this place every time we get their food. Everything is great and it's a perfect fit for Overgaard. Tonight, the special pizza and antipasto salad and they are spot on. Love the people here too. Real cool people, really awesome food. read more

We were on vacation visiting Heber-Overgaard from the Phoenix area and wanted to treat our kiddos to some pizza. We decided on this little place because of the fun NASCAR theme (Hence the name Pit Stop). We were overjoyed with the quality of their pizza. You could tell it was made fresh with good quality ingredients. I highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for good pizza in a small town. The prices are a tad higher than what we are used to paying (i.e. Pizza Hut, Papa Johns) but again it's a mom and pop place in a small town and they are trying to make a living, so completely understandable. Picked up an 18 inch pepperoni & sausage last night. Was a very good pizza. I like a little more cheese and will order extra next time. I especially liked the crisp crust. This will be our regular pizza place in Overgaard from now on. read more

Not consistent, one experience was good and terrible the next. Very hit or miss here, but not really many options for pizza in this rural area. Pizza dough was under done and seemed soggy. We had the veggie pizza & zesty sticks. Food was very good, not great but very good. Plenty of toppings on the pizza but a bit shy on cheese. Good crust & tasty sauce. Zesty sticks are a nice treat. Consistent pizza. Good toppings. Friendly staff. No frills establishment that offers take out pizza in 15 minutes. Price is a bit on the higher side than you'd get at one of the pizza chains in the Valley, but if you want a piping hot pizza in the Rim Country this is a decent option. read more

My girlfriend and I read the reviews saying this place had good to great pizza but bad service. They were right, to a degree. The sauces they used taste like products from the family dollar, if that's not clear it was low quality, terrible tasting sauce. The BBQ chicken pizza is usually my favorite but there's was the worst tasting one I've ever had. My girlfriend got a pepperoni pizza which she said wasn't the greatest tasting which I felt bad for. The service wasn't that great either. I waited at the front for about 5-7min waiting for somebody to come up to the front for both napkins and hot sauce on the wings I ordered. They forgot to add the sauce to the wings which was a first. I liked them until they added the sauce because again it taste low quality. This place has potential if they spent the money on good tasting sauces and had employees that were more focused on customer service. They were nice to us but the overall service and visit was enough to keep us away from here. It was also a little pricey too but that's understandable with it being located in a small town. We love coming to this place and their pizza is great. However this time we came, the lady working at the counter was extremely rude to us both over the phone for our order and when we came to pick it up. They forgot a pizza and she got frustrated with us when we said we needed the last pizza. It is sad that such a good place has to have such poor customer service and be so rude. read more

This place doesn't look like much on the outside, but you go inside and there is nascar memorabilia on all the walls. The food is AMAZING! We had a Hawaiian and a pepperoni and black olive. Stopped in on a long road trip to get a few sandwiches to go and we were very happy we did! The cashier was so friendly, and very helpful with the menu and suggestions. The food took a little while, but it was a small price to pay for fresh, hot and delicious food. My French dip was delicious and my husband enjoyed his Philly very much. Very rude, the pizza was not very good, complained when I used a card and charge me to use it. They tried to tell me that everyone here deals in cash and very few take cards and if they do, they charge. i found out very quickly that this was not true. i will never go there again. read more

We scoured the internet looking for the best pizza in Heber-Overgaard and there didn't appear to be a clear winner. We went with Pit Stop Pizza and were so happy we did! Plain looking from the outside but a very authentic pizzeria feel on the inside. We chatted with the sweet owner and she informed us they make their dough fresh every day. We ordered a large pepperoni and sausage pizza and asked to come back and pick it up in one hour so we could post up for a couple of cocktails at The Cabin Bar & Grill down the road. No problem! When we returned the pizza was ready to go. We asked for some 7up or Sprite but she didn't have any, so she left her restaurant, went next door to the breakfast spot that was CLOSED (that she also owns), and filled our cup with Sprite. We protested but her son, sitting nearby, affirmed that, "We're small town folks and we love a return customer." Well, you've got one! The pizza turned out to be excellent with a sweet tasting sauce. Very different taste from the city chains of Domino's, Pizza Hut, etc., and exactly what we were looking for. Thank you for great food and great service! read more
