Very minimal top crust which I appreciated because the tomato sauce tasted so fresh, I wanted all that I could get of it! Pizza came out in 5 min. Super quick service. Fat Tomato Pizza is a new addition on the Westside, and a good one. There are a few tables inside and out but I consider it more of a take-out or delivery place. We ordered an extra large vegetarian pizza and it was enough for 3 hungry people. The crust was thin and a little crispy, and the sauce wasn't too salty like a lot of pizza sauces are. I was lured to Fat Tomato Pizza by the high Yelp reviews, so I had high expectations. The pizza here is pretty basic. A medium 12" Hawaiian pizza costs $23, which seemed awfully overpriced. There are so many pizzerias serving higher quality pizzas at that price point (Pizzeria Sei, Lodge Bread, Ghisallo and Pizzana - to name a few). For NY-style pies, I'd rather go to Prime Pizza, where an 18" pizza is $20-$30 vs. Fat Tomato's 16" pizza at the same price point. On the positive side, the restaurant is clean and the woman that works here is very nice. Plus they have dumplings! Free parking in the lot. read more

I have searched the planet for the best gluten-free pizza and I've tried some incredible gluten-free pies in the last five years after suffering through parakeet food and cardboard pizza for 15 years. Let me start the review by saying the lady making the pizzas and pickup process was fantastic. Very friendly, kind, and prompt service. With that said, these pizzas are just okay, and due to the price I can't give it an average rating either. I got a large meat lovers. My biggest complaint is the dough, which felt thin and not super flavorful. I am not saying the ingredients weren't fresh as I believe they could be, but overall the flavor was bland and the consistent felt doughey and a little undercooked. The garlic knots were fine, what you'd expect. The chicken wings were also just about good. Overall I have 3 days worth of pizza left in my fridge that I'll be reheating since I didn't have a huge desire to take down more than a few slices.
