NY style pizza. They sell by the slice what ever is in the display. Thin sliced pizza heated to be crispy or extra crispy. Not too oily. Subpar experience here -- I came in with a group and we placed a few different orders. My order arrived incomplete and the employee tried to deny her mistake, despite me showing the receipt. Fortunately, one of her coworkers agreed to prep the missing part of the order. Then, I proceeded to order 2 more slices of pizza, which the cashier completely forgot about, so I was left waiting another 20 min. When I checked back in, it was obvious my order was totally forgotten about. It would've been nice to at least get a free slice to compensate for the several mistakes. I understand it can get busy, but incompletely delivering multiple orders (and denying it) is unacceptable. The pizza is also a little pricey ($3.50 for a slice) and OK tasting, but I will not be coming back. read more

Got the half buffalo chicken and half Brooklyn special. I appreciate the ability to get 2 types of pizza on one pie and the prices are reasonable for New York pizza but the number of toppings and quality were below average compared to other New York style pizzas I've tried. The pizza was also lukewarm when it came out of the oven. Slice of New York in San Jose still tops the list of best ny style pizza in California. Probably won't be back any time soon but I do crave some good New York pizza once in a while read more

I also ordered 5 spicy chicken tenders with blue cheese for dipping and for the drink I washed it all down with Dr Pepper! Whenever back in the area, I will definitely come back!!! Serge was so nice at the front counter! Restaurant was clean. TV's inside and outside, same with seating. Park in the Cardiff Parking garage, 1st hour free. Pleasantly surprised! I didn't expect to find a local pizza joint in LA that could easily pass for one back home in the Northeast. But here we are. I stumbled on this spot completely by accident -- my car broke down one evening, and while waiting for a tow truck, I wandered in and grabbed a couple of meat slices. Wow. Delish, familiar, and packed with that small-town, New England mom-and-pop vibe I grew up with. Of course, the real test will be when I bring my kids. They literally grew up tossing dough in old-school Boston pizza kitchens, and their taste buds show no mercy. If this place passes their test... We have tried them all and now we are pretty sure that LaRocco's is the best NY pizza in all of Los Angeles. Now, got to this one in Culver City. It is better than the one in Westchester. You will love this place, whether you dine there, have it delivered or pick it up. The place is super cute and clean. The staff is friendly and will make your pizza the way you want it. They also have great pasta dishes. Parking is easy in the lot or on the street. Each pizza is made to order, but it does not take forever. It is just so so good. We have had their white pizza which is great, but now I am stuck on their red sauce pepperoni and other toppings and all are so good. The pepperoni here is much better than some flat piece of pepperoni you will get elsewhere. It has a little more spice and is just the best. The crust at this LaRocco's is always perfect and never too chewy. You will love everything about it and I am getting some pick up for dinner and we just had lunch there a couple of days ago. A solid, takeout New York style pizza location in the heart of Culver City's Arts District. As mentioned they specialize in takeout, but they do have some indoor seating available as well. Parking in this area can be tricky during the evenings because it can get very busy however, we were able to find a metered street space a block away. There's also a giant parking garage on the block west of this location which would be another easy option. Service was fast and everyone behind the counter was very polite. They obviously do custom pies, but we decided to do a few slices to go for national pizza day. It is a bit expensive compared to some other locations but you do receive quality food in return. We chose the Pepperoni, the Buffalo Chicken, and the White Pizza. All of them were very good and were a good size. They also have Italian ice cream with a lot of different flavors available, as well as subs and salads. Let me start by saying the pizza is good. It is. I recommend the pizza. But I left a negative review a while back because LaRocco's farmed their delivery to Door Dash, an awful service. The owner/manager, Serge, implored me to call him, give them another chance, they were figuring it out. For the last 2 months it's been better. But today I received a text saying my pizza was ready and 45 min later nothing. Upon calling, the disinterested employee told me Door Dash (or whomever they use now) hadn't shown up. So the pizza is sitting there for 45 min and they don't seem to care. The employee said, "I don't know what you want me to do." Maybe Serge needs to be called? How about that? Where is Serge on Fri/Sat when business is busiest? It's remarkable that they take zero responsibility for delivery. I wish I didn't have to write this review but orderer beware -- if you expect to get your pizza in a reasonable time, say an hour or so... don't hold your breath. read more

If you are an east coaster needing a good slice, then I recommend LaRocco's. (I'm originally from NJ in case you need a credibility stamp on that review). We stumbled upon LaRoccos on a search for dinner one night in Culver. We ordered, but they were busy so we also grabbed a slice as an appetizer as we waited for our sandwiches. Yes, this slice reminded me of home. Plus they had oregano. For some reason you can tell a pizza place is NYC legit if they have oregano, it's like some kind of East coast insiders code for quality. I had the chicken parm sandwich and my boyfriend had the meatball, both very good. The place is on the smaller side, but you can tell that the staff really cares and just wants to give you high quality food. If I need to order a pizza in the future I'll be making a trip down to culver. read more
