Not bad for lunch takeout on a Monday! I absolutely love that they open at 10:30 AM rather than 11:00 AM--perfect for an early lunch run to beat the rush. The owner was super friendly and made the stop a really great experience. The restaurant itself has a great layout with a nice daily specials board right up front. While I found myself missing a few of the classic spicy Mediterranean flavors I usually look for, like harissa sauce and jalapeños, their signature fajita sauce definitely strikes a chord and makes up for it. Really disappointing. The order came with what appeared to be about ten fries, genuinely closer to a child's portion than a side with an adult meal. The chicken was even worse. I can't say whether it actually was canned chicken, but the taste and texture were remarkably similar to it, right down to that slightly tuna-like flavor canned chicken sometimes has. Between the quality of the chicken and the almost comically small portion of fries, I don't think we will be back. Too bad, it was my daughter's favorite restaurant. Walking in was clean and quiet. Service was presentable. Friendly and helpful. The wing basket was calling to be tried. Real fresh and crispy! Fries were seasoned greatly. The staff were super nice. I ordered a chicken salad salad. It is different from the chicken salad platter I'm used to getting. I got a regular size and it is pretty large. No complaints there. There was a lot of lettuce and a large scoop of chicken salad. The pita is placed off to the side. I wish it was separate. I removed half of the pita because the texture just wasn't good. However, they were very unclear as to their pricing as the website has a very out of date menu and the individual on the phone gave me different information than what the reality was for cost. When I got in the store they also have on their website that when you got the bowl that I got or maybe it's called a plate that you get these free additional sort of toppings however she was gonna charge me $.99 for each of those so having the website not updated is very frustrating the other issue I did have was I believe they actually gave me the wrong main chicken item. I'm pretty sure I just asked for the chicken onion and onions, but they gave me the chicken with the cheese on it and then also they didn't tell me that the spanakopita was gonna be an up charge as one of the sides so there just wasn't a lot of transparency and it was pretty frustrating read more

Ever again! This location is awful. Drive to another one. Today I picked up two to-go meals and asked for sauces on the side. When I arrived home there's No hummus. No crab sauce and only half the regular size tray was used and the other half filled with pita bread. At all the other locations you get hummus and a crab sauce as well as oil and vinegar and a huge portion. I drove 20 minutes each way to have the first meal I've been able to eat in days ruined by the owner. I called to explain and she offered to remake it.....That they don't do hummus or crab sauce. The crab salad I've been eating for decades was not what is served and was far different from what you get at the other locations. I will not return here. The lack of caring by the owner and the request to return to get the food I paid for was just a slap in the face. I can't drive at night so I can't bring it back. You should have offered a refund and I shouldn't have been charged for regular size when you just put the small size portion in a large co tai er and filled up the bowl with pita. They don't tell you when ordering a gyro platter that the pita, toppings, and cucumber sauce that normally comes standard each counts as a side. Meat was okay but not as flavorful as others. Cucumber sauce was more like cole slaw. Each platter is supposed to come with peppers, pickles, and olives. Of course we didn't get them and had to ask, so they gave us a tablespoon of each to split between all three. It did not say that it was a pita but I guess we should have assumed. The burger looked worse than McDonald's and he did not like the way it tasted. I decided for lunch here today while in town visiting my mother. We had a veggie pita, fish basket and a gyro salad. The veggie pita was sub par in which I had to send back because there was cheese on it. I did not request cheese. My husband said the tartar sauce could not make the fish better and the fries were cold. My mother's salad was not as good as the Greek salad that she is use to. Not a good place to spend your money. The gyro platter consists of meat, and two sides. The lettuce and tomato and pita bread which I didn't order are considered your sides. I didn't realize this and ordered falafel and grape leaves instead. I had nothing for the meat. The falafel was way over cooked and tasteless. The grape leaves were great tasting but very small. We've been enjoying Pita Delight for years and love the convenience of the Friendly location. Stopped today and had the chicken kabob with double chicken. The chicken was flavored very nicely. I like Pita D's salad dressing though I would have liked to have more dressing on the salad. The amount of lettuce was very generous although the dressing wasn't quite enough to cover the lettuce. You can buy extra dressing and I probably should have. I must say the tomato on the salad was flavorless and mushy. Tomatoes are not in season locally, but other restaurants managed decent tomatoes this time of year. Service was prompt and friendly as always. It seems they may have raised their prices a bit since my last visit. Two Chicken Kabob Platters and waters were over $19 - a little steep for the amount of food. I think next time I will try the Battleground Rd location just for a timely comparison. read more

I had lunch here yesterday and always have a nice meal here. The restaurant is convenient and there is certainly plenty of parking so I'm not sure why I don't eat here more often. Probably because I always seem to eat too much. The staff is always very pleasant - making a point to speak/acknowledge their customer, which is nice. I hate paying to eat in a restaurant and then being expected to bus my own table. I am very sad to write this negative review. My friend and I Visited a couple of weeks ago and loved it! Today my husband and I were in the area and I wanted to take him because I loved it so much. My husband has recently retired from 20+ years in the military. We had his service dog with us and the manager came up to us and said they don't allow dogs. We stated he is a service dog. He asked for what, and he said he needed to see the paperwork. My husband and I were floored, he stated our dog was for PTSD. He stated he still needed to see the paperwork, I told him it was illegal for him to ask these invasive questions. He did not care at all that he humiliated us, there was a group of people near us and they heard the entire conversation. Do not give these people any of your money. The staff here was incredibly rude and would not accept the terms on a coupon we had. We had to go up three times and expain that they were in the wrong, but they would not accept what was on the coupon. One of the workers snatched my friend's coupon out of her hand and tried to reimburse us with an expired coupon, rather than giving us our money back. This is not my favorite Pita Delite. Usually the pitas are still room temperature even "hot" off the grill. They never have grill marks, and they lack the flavor of the oils off the grill. Sounds gross but it's so yummy. Usually from Pita Delite, I love the Greek salad, but this location is very skimpy on everything. A large salad from this location is the size of a small from other locations, and it never has the fresher ingredients, or enough salad dressing- they always try to sell you more. Other locations coat the salad amply, or you can ask for heavy dressing without charge. The sweet tea is weak, and does not have enough sugar, per multiple visits. I've learned water is best from this location. The good news is that they offer a $4 Delite deal, where you can get a half sandwich and side salad. It's perfect for a heavy lunch or "lite" dinner. Pun intended! In addition, the seating is very close, and for women that are blessed on top, it's not easy to be a graceful ballerina, getting in and out of the booths, as its always crowded from lunch til dinner. Plus, even the large booths don't hold four without someone being crammed into the wall (if dining with men). I love the convenience of this location, and so I keep going back, despite the lack of "welcome" calls, or above par food at other locations. I guess my favorite location has just spoiled me with the "welcome shout" as I come through the door. read more

Let me just say, there are 3 other locations I have been to that I absolutely love. However, this one just wants to be different. I love the steak and cheese platter at the other 3 and ask if they can put the steak and cheese in a pita pocket. This location used to do it as well, but about a year or so ago, they refused. They said there is a steak and cheese sandwich, but I can't have that on the platter. On the platter, they can only put the steak on top of pita bread. I've stopped going to this location because they won't make my order the way I like it. Tonight, my kids and I were shopping and they talked me into trying again. They just told me the same story, so I just got the kids their meal and got my dinner somewhere else. I am not going back to this location. They obviously don't want my business. read more
