I have no idea what the babaghanoush really was. It tastes like it was mixed with the tzatziki and had olive juice mixed in. It appeared that it had curdled. What really put me off was that when we brought it to the waiters attention he first thought it was tzatziki then when corrected he said that the each cook in the back makes it a different way and that he doesn't get involved in that. Menu item listed as including blue corn chips for dipping and quinoa. Broken, Stale chips and kid you not, less than a table spoon of quinoa. Dish includes a vinaigrette, that I asked for on the side, was not included. These are all low cost items, the least I could get is chips and the menu item includes chips. Even my waitress was surprised that was okay to send out. Gave us pitas, but can't eat pitas because of dietary restrictions. Falafel bowl was ordered by my husband, 30% was plain unseasoned large cut cabbage (when's the last time you ate 1 inch thick cabbage slices with no seasoning?). Falafels used to be about an inch thick are now very thin patties. I will say, the girl who works the bar is a gem and she's doing more than just bar. She's doing take out orders, walk in orders, expediting, and bar while...I kid you not, 5 other employees stood near the line not working. That girl deserves a medal and a raise because she is carrying the team. Went for dinner last night, I have never had bad service at this Pita Jungle. Last night was the worst service I've had ever. The restaurant was fairly empty, there were 3 people in the kitchen, 2 servers and a food runner. They sat us at a tiny table when they had many open tables that would accommodate more than 2 plates. Our waiter took our drink order and small appitizer order and left. It took about 10 minutes to get our drinks and when we were just about finished with our drinks we had to ask if he would check on our appitizer. That took an additional 10 minutes and when it arrived it was the large plate not the small one we had ordered. The food runner was going to take it back and we said no! We really didn't have that kind of time! Our food came out right after that and I had to pull a chair from another table to put our drinks, appitizer and phones on so that I didn't have to hold my dinner plate and eat. Our drinks were long gone and the waiter never came to check on us or ask if we wanted another drink. When we were almost finished eating he came to see if we wanted another drink, to which I replied not now. I went up and got my own to go container because I didn't think he would be back. read more

I made a takeout order for my coworker and I and feel like we were robbed of our garlic potatoes . Both were maybe filled half way. It was like when you open a bag of Doritos and the bag is barely half way full except it's not for shipping/ handling purposes. The flavor of the potatoes and the Philly Chicken Pita however were good. The potatoes are full of flavor and had a good "mushiness" too them. The chicken in my pita was tender and went well with the toppings - added a lil sriracha and it was Although I didn't eat in, there is a beautiful outside patio many were utilizing and the inside looked very modern/ artsy. Pita Jungle. I owe you an apology. Somehow I forget to visit. Maybe a couple years go by. I don't know how it happens. But I returned Friday for lunch. And it's rare, but the rest of they day, I'd stop. And I say to myself "wow. What a great lunch!" My wife agreed. Blown away. Had the Kafta Burger. It was delicious. It was filling. I didnt eat again the rest of the day and never felt hungry. Didn't feel stuffed either. The potato's? Man. Seasoned just right. Best. And the cilantro jalapeño hummus? Disappeared. We've been using Pita Jungle for our catering - meeting participants request it again and again! The staff is so accommodating and the prices are excellent. We moved away five years ago and there were a handful of places I have missed, this is one. Unlike your typical gyros shop, this can be a sit down experience, although I got mine to go. Can't believe this place has such good reviews. Came here at 7pm on a Tuesday and we were seated right away. The whole layout and design of this place is super awkward and do not work well. You have to walk through the patio to the host stand inside to be seated. The outside ambiance was promising but the fountain sounds broken and the tables are too close together. The server came to get our order, drop off the food, and then we never saw him or any other employee again. It was a big struggle to even get the check. Our food was mediocre at best. We had the Gyro Plate, which was cold and had the worst rice I've ever tasted - like it had been made poorly, packed into a too-small container, and reheated. The Turkey Lavash Wrap barely had any taste at all and the lavash was very dry. I am not a person who wants spicy food, but you might as well be eating plain bread. Gluten free and dairy light eater. I went at 430 for a late lunch with my friend and we immediately was seated. We ordered off the happy hour tapas menu. Their hummus is always good. The cilantro hummus was amazing. I ordered a gluten free pita and it was really good. We also ordered the tomato and mozzarella. It was yummy and a perfect small size. We both ordered the lavash Shawarma in a bowl. The garlic sauce was served on the side which was more like a garlic dip. It was yummy. But soon after I noticed my breathe smelled like garlic. The meal itself was a bit dry. It needed a sauce over it not a dip on the side. But overall the flavor was there. I ended up eating some of my friends left overs. A good staple. Visiting from So Cal and stopped in here. I ordered a variety of food here and just thought the taste was off. The tabbouleh tasted like dirt, the grape leaves were a little bland. I was hoping for kafta kabobs which they didn't have, instead they had kafta Pattie's which was my favorite item. It was edible but just not as delicious as I was hoping. Okay, I'm really torn about this review. I LOVE the food here, but my order is VERY inconsistent from one visit to the next. And if I point out that I'm missing something I had last time, or have something additional, they act like I don't know what I'm talking about. But I come regularly enough (about once a week) that it's become very apparent when the cooks change some aspect of my order. I don't mind that, but when I ask, let's say about a pita usually being included, or whatever, the response is that it doesn't. They stare at me. I stare at them. And I kind of just feel like... Ten times I had a pita. One time they said I don't get one. The next ten times I did get one. Why are they acting like I have three heads when I point out I'm missing a pita? On that note, I'm also not a huge fan of the staff. They aren't awful. They just act a little like they don't want to deal with me. I'm a polite person, but it's easy to pick up on the fact that they seem annoyed by me. Not all of them, but the couple I see the most. My sisters have noticed the same thing and said that that's the "attitude" the place is trying to convey. But if that's the attitude they want to have, it makes me not want to go there. I love the all the food at Pita Jungle & my husband appreciates the number of keto options available. Even modifying non-keto menu items is easy and you still get a good meal without being cheated out of half the food because you had to cut the carbs. Good place for the whole family. Update: I did contact their customer service as they asked me to below, and they actually denied having served me iceburg lettuce! I'm not sure how insulting their customer's intelligence has worked for them in the past, but there is zero chance that I would confuse iceburg with romaine or any whole leaf lettuce like he claimed to use. Iceburg is very identifiable by sight, taste, texture, even sound. Being cheap about lettuce is one thing, but lying to and insulting your customers, wow. read more

I have always liked Pita Jungle. As expected, the restaurants are much better than the food court kiosks. If you've only tried the food court version, I suggest giving the place another chance! This one seems to be crowded all of the time, so it is pretty popular, despite being tucked in the corner of the shopping center. The menu is the typical Pita Jungle fare. Sure, there are a lot of vegetarian-friendly options, but meat-eaters don't need to be afraid: there are plenty of meat dishes, too. For starters, you can't go wrong with their hummus. The cilantro jalapeño one is really nice and I have enjoyed all of their soups of the day. For lunch or a light dinner, I like their pitas. Any of them. The place isn't called "Pita Jungle" for nothing. The Shawarma is great, but so are the Gyro and Falafel. My wife especially likes the Philly Pitas (beef, I think, is her favorite). I also like the Chicken Pasta Salad -- I think it can feed at least two people as an entree! -- and the Falafel Salad. The last few times for dinner, I have gone to the "Featured Specials" menu and ordered the "Red Quinoa with Cilantro Jalapeño Hummus". This gets me the hummus I like without needing to share it as an appetizer and includes all kinds of other good stuff, too: red quinoa, baby kale, spinach, arugula, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, garlic, feta, toasted pine nuts, EVOO, lemon-cumin vinaigrette, choice of organic blue corn chips or pita. Pita Jungle is tucked away in the corner of the plaza which was appropriate for the vibe. There is outdoor seating (and a full bar) - great for a casual date. There's a separate entrance for takeout orders which leads me to believe that they do a lot of takeout business and want to ensure that both takeout and dining customers are taken care of. I ordered the hummus and tabouli combination which was fresh and tasty. It was not overseasoned and tasted authentic. For my entree, I got the veggie laffa. The vegetables were well seasoned and crispy without being raw - the right consistency. The feta cheese and pesto also added a nice saltiness without overpowering the veggies. The portion was large for me (came with a small Greek salad) so I saved the half of the laffa for the following day - it lost its luster for me after the fridge but overall delicious. read more

We came here for lunch on a Sunday. Located in the corner of Dana Park mall, this quaint little store has a trendy ambiance. There are plenty of tables set up for outside dining. This is good until the weather gets hot. We chose to eat inside. The grill area is open so you can actually watch your food being prepared. The seating is limited to several booths and about a dozen tables. Our experience was pleasant. Our waitress was friendly and the service was prompt. Pita is what this place is all about. You get pitas with your salads or used as wraps in sandwiches. I ordered a pizza which was on, you guessed it, a pita. I was a little disappointed at the selection of burgers. they were "healthy burgers". All were veggie burgers of one kind or another. That's good for the vegetarian, but carnivores will be left wanting that juicy medium grilled 80/20 ground beef burger. I will say that the pizza I ordered was surprisingly tasty. I got the roasted garlic portabella pizza. This was made on an ultra thin pita like crust, which made it very crispy once it's baked. This is my favorite style of crust. There was a modest amount of sauce and cheese, which was ok by me. After all for me it's about the toppings anyway. The toppings, roasted garlic, basil, Portabella mushrooms, and thinly sliced tomatoes. I enjoyed every bite, and it was under 10 bucks. You can't beat that at most places. Pita Jungle is a local favorite! It is now one of my favorite places to go as well. We went on a Sunday for lunch, it was moderately busy. We were seated and our waitress was by a short time later to get our drink orders. The menu is filled with a ton of Greek/Mediterranean goodness. They have salads, wraps, pitas, pizzas. I chose the roasted chicken Mediterranean pita. It was very good. Our food was out in a timely manner, and just as visually appealing as the taste. This location is located in a strip mall, offers outdoor seating, and is tastefully decorated. They offer take out, and there is a separate entrance for the take out orders. I think this is a great idea as it reduces the clutter in the lobby. This will definitely be a place I will frequent! read more
