Always love this place, great decor high energy and in crowd. Great alternative to burgers and pizza and healthy on top of that. My personal favorite is the Philly Cheese Steak Pita, never can go wrong. Good size portion and juicy prime rib meat with all the toppings. The food was good but the service was horrible. She just got our order gave us our food and then the bill. The girl never came up to check in on us or refill us. My sister had to raise her hand to get any service. It wasn't even busy and everyone was just hanging out talking and the girls looking in the mirror checking themselves out and playing with their hair. First of all, I usually love the food and service at this location, but today was not the usual day. It was slow for a Friday lunch. So it was somewhat quiet. It started out with a long wait for someone to acknowledge us and offer us something to drink. When the server brought our drinks he put them down and started to dash off. I asked if we could go ahead and order as my friend was restricted on time. The food came out pretty quickly , which was great, but I was not happy with the small Greek salad I ordered that I added the chicken too. The chicken was cold and extremely tough. Again something that I am not used to. I tried to flag down the waiter but was unsuccessful, so when he did finally come back, my friend had to leave so I just asked for a to go box for my salad. He brought the check with the to go box and dashed away. We waited awhile to pay and then I believe a manager came and picked up our check and credit cards. The server came back and asked how we wanted the check split and we told just split it evenly. When we got our cards and checks back, he had put my meal and drink on my friends card and his meal on mine. The server even asked us what my name was so he would get the charge right....so I'm not sure how that happened. I don't know if this location has changed ownership or not ? I'll start with saying I know how short staffed the entire world is right now so I make sure to pack my patience. My sister & I decided to hit up PJ every time she comes to town and visit. We were greeted by a very nice older Hispanic gentlemen and asked to be seated in the patio which was full as well as the restaurant. So we smiled and said we would wait and asked how long it would be ? But the nice gentleman didn't speak English so couldn't let us know. Luckily we know a little Spanish and it was only 5 min. We then we're seated and waited 30 min for someone to come and take a drink order. There were many angry customers complaining about not being served. There was plenty of employees working but the service was absolutely slow! They came to ask for our drink order and we asked if we could order everything at once. They took our order and brought out the wrong salad. The lady looked very annoyed like I ordered the wrong salad? Not even our sever so she wouldn't have even known. She brought a new one out and the chicken tasted awful like it was spoiled. I pushed it aside and just shared my sisters pizza which was actually very tasty. The customer service and overall service here has declined very badly. It's a real shame because it's use to be good. Yesterday, I thought I'd give it another try - ordered the "Spicy Chicken Wrap" Spicy Chicken Wrap - Spicy grilled marinated all-natural chicken, steamed veggies: broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, yellow squash, tomatoes, red onions, organic brown rice, lemon-cilantro mixed beans, herbs, cilantro-garlic paste, hot chili sauce, with pita or as a bowl with organic brown rice. * When it was delivered - it was H U G E ... so big, the wrap had two to three layers of foil to hold it together. But don't be fooled... * It was so over stuffed with rice that it couldn't be closed. * The rice ... NO FLAVOR * The steamed veggies - not a lot of them, but those there - were way over cooked - mushy .. and all flavor must have escaped in the seam. * The beans. Bland * Herbs/Cilantro-garlic paste, hot chili sauce - very little flavor. A drizzle of Siracha on the plate the the only flavor there. The WORST thing? THE CHICKEN! Really - spicy grilled marinated all-natural. It was cubes of dry chewy/stringy disappointment. I felt like it had been cooked hours before and scooped up and thrown haphazardly into an over stuffed Rice Wrap with mushy flavorless veggies. For what I remember as being $11+ - I think not. Service was "ok" - had to ask each time for the water to be refilled. I've liked their Caribbean Salad - the Seasonal fruits, mixed greens, shredded coconut, golden raisins, and strawberry vinaigrette were pretty awesome - but probably a little higher in sugar content than I should intake. So - knowing my experience with the Gyro in the past - I thought I'd give another food item a try. They do get some things right, and based on the volume of patrons - I guess folks like it. This location seems to be going downhill. Came here to take my nieces out for lunch and was disappointed. Let's start with the hostess, she had zero people and or customer facing skills. Let's face the facts, she didn't want to be there. Anyways, on to the food. It was o.k., seems like the quality control in the food department has gone downhill. Have been been a fan since the original location was little hole in the wall with funky paintings etc. The Food is awesome, they will tweak your order to however you like it and super healthy options!! My absolute favorite is the caramelized cauliflower dish and i always order it extra crispy! Salads and other options are great as well. I'm not a salmon fan but my friends always get the salmon salad and rave about it. The Mediterranean chicken salad is fantastic and can easily be shared unless your hangry then it will satisfy you better than a snickers!!! read more

The food is all perfectly adequate, and reasonably-portioned (not giant-sized portions). That said, none of the dishes had much spice that you typically want in a Mediterranean restaurant, not even the dishes with "spice" in the name (like the special Moroccan-spiced chicken). The best thing, by far, was the kids menu. You get a great meal - a generous serving of a protein (i.e., chicken, beef, turkey), a side (like mac and cheese, rice, or pita), drink, fruit, and veggies for $5.00. My 1-year old devoured the carrots, hummus, and pita and my 5-year old was happy to have both chicken and mac and cheese. On the downside, the service was PAINFULLY slow. Our waitress never checked on us, and especially when you have kids, you want to be in and out ASAP. It took an hour and a half from seating to check (granted, the restaurant was relatively full). This was NOT the case at Pita Jungle Desert Ridge. My wife and I had an amazing lunch, but what made the experience so enjoyable is the stellar service given to us by our server, Miriam. UPDATE June 2020 - I'm updating my review to four stars. I began returning for lunch and had great experiences. I then started ordering take-out once the pandemic hit. However, yesterday was such a disappointing experience, my first review of the chain is 2 stars for this location. We called in a to-go order for two chicken and humus entrees. I arrived about five minutes early to pick up the order, and the host couldn't find it. The only order for the same name as mine was different. I even stepped aside to let the next customer behind me proceed with their order pickup. After helping the customer after me, the host checked all the orders queued for pickup, and found mine. I asked what name it was under, and he said a different name than mine..."or something". Huh? It was a different name or something? In speaking with the host a few minutes, it was obvious he had a heavy accent and was not a native English speaker. I couldn't care less, other than maybe that's not the right guy to take telephone orders, especially if he's not willing to read the orderer's name back to the orderer to make sure pickup is smooth. I still got to pay full price 10 minutes after standing there, and of course the food was room temperature and not so delicious upon consumption. Wow! What a fantastically delicious find! We were super impressed by the friendly staff, quick service and super delicious and healthy food! The menu can be a little scary if you're not familiar with Mediterranean food (my family) but we all went for it and were amazed. My son and I had the California Beach wrap - I had chicken and he had turkey. They came with a side Greek Salad and everything was fresh and delicious! My other son had the grilled chicken salad and enjoyed it, although he ended up eating half my wrap because he liked it better. My husband had the cheesesteak pita and won't stop talking about it. We live about a mile from the restaurant. Have ordered things To Go dozens of times over the years. Last time my wife picked up a couple of Gyros, they got home cold. Today, she ordered 2 more and when they brought them out for her to take, she checked them, and they were already barely warm. She told the server, and they were taken back for longer than it took to make the first ones. She brought the new one's home and though the flavors were good, they were cold. If you are going to do Take Out, you need to be able to package food so it stays hot/warm for at least 10 of 15 minutes. We won't be going back for take-out. read more

I love Pita Jungle but I am only giving this location 3 stars because it is a hit or miss here. Everyone is super nice and friendly but the food is sometimes not up to par. For example, we went for happy hour once and the chicken dish that we ordered was burnt and every slider we ordered was missing the sauce that goes on it, so everything tasted dry. But when you get the food cooked correctly, it is delish and like I said, I love Pita Jungle but for whatever reason, this location is a bit off. I have been to several other locations and they are always superb each and every time. In fact, I just went to the Uptown location yesterday and was very impressed by the presentation of my food and it was a to-go order! Very delicious as well! But, I don't know if I would return to this location again after several of these inconsistencies. Also, getting in and out of the parking lot is like a bull out of a shoot when you are arriving at the same time as the neighboring office building employees are leaving for the day. You can get mowed down easily as there seems to be only one way in and out of this shared parking lot so keep an eye out if you are there during those times. read more

I'm excited to recommend Pita Jungle in Flagstaff. Today we had a chicken pita and my all-time-favorite wood fired vegetable salad with chicken breast. This place has such amazing healthy food. It's clear that each dish is planned to use the very best ingredients and prepared meticulously to make it just right. Oddly, there were no significant changes to the restaurant layout and traffic was not really being managed, but the gal at the register brought us our food so we didn't have to wade through the takeout order line. Holy wow! I tried something new and LOVED it! Trying to start eat on the healthier side seemed dull until I tried this dish! Now I'm stoked to go back and have it again! I ordered the black bean burger without a bun and a side Greek salad. The burger was massive and scrumptious! It was served with a side of chipotle sauce that complemented it so well! I was reluctant to visit the Desert Ridge location because my past experience at the Chandler location was lackluster. My experience at the Desert Ridge location was just as bad. Pita Jungle has tons of vegan options which makes me happy. Their hummus is awesome, especially the cilantro lime hummus. I wish they had a vegan dessert! The service is usually pretty good, but every once in a while you'll get a server who just doesn't care. The server dress code here (or lack thereof) always makes my husband and I laugh. We don't really care how our server is dressed, but it's literally anything goes here. We've seen servers wearing everything from sweatpants and cut off tops to cargo shorts and ball caps. I'm pretty much a fan of any Pita Jungle.. but especially this newer Desert Ridge location for two reasons. First, it is only about a 10 or so minute drive up the 51 to this Pita Jungle from CenPho with little traffic during non-rush hours. Secondly, the tables are HUGE which is a big plus for me, considering that the tables at other PJ's are cramped and pushed together. They seem to be ironing out the flaws in the food and the space is really beautiful. Pita Jungle is perfect, as always, for a fast, quick and healthy meal. read more
