Asked for really easy ice on the water brought them all chalk full of ice because it's hot outside. Asked for salt, didn't bring it. Ordered turmeric cauliflower rice with grilled chicken and pinenuts and he brought out roasted cauliflower with tahini (which I don't like) but at that point I was too tired to complain and I didn't want to make a big deal of it. The gyro sandwich is extremely small and has hardly any meat in it for $11. Luckily my better half was hungry so he ate a good portion of my two sides which they nicely put on one plate. The "grilled" chicken with peanuts I think is cooked on a griddle, it was pretty greasy and had a lot of yellow oil. The tahini was overwhelming on the roasted cauliflower dish. The next time we come, if we do, we will return items that are not brought out as ordered. The problem with the patio is that they have these angular shaped tarps draped across however they still allow a lot of sun in so you are roasting and there's very little airflow because of the tarps. They might as well put less translucent tarps there so at least the heat from the sun doesn't come through. Pricing is pretty steep for what you get for certain items. read more

We also shared the chicken shawarma but for some reason today, it was dry. But it still tasted good. Lastly, we shared a salad which was delicious and it tasted really good. One of the healthiest meals we have had while traveling in the area!! Food is so fresh and delicious. We got the red sangria which was delicious. The kids meal was incredible - comes out bento style with fruit, a type of protein, a type of carb and a veggie all selection based. My kids got a variety of options including the lentils, tofu, corn and broccoli. The only one they didn't like was the kids turkey because it was cold. They kept asking for more and more pita bread because it came out so hot and fluffy. Husband got the chicken combo plate, I got the salmon plate which was phenomenal. Chill vibe. Clean inside. Great patio when not hot out. Love to take friends here when they come visit AZ. We usually get the large hummus half jalapeño & cilantro and half red pepper. We tend to get the chicken or gyro shwarma, broiled chicken salad or warm veggie salad among a couple of others + kid's meals. Food is always excellent, experience today, not so great. I had an hair appointment at 2:30 pm and I arrived 1:40 pm so decided I had enough time to stop for a quick lunch. It was 1:51 before we were even acknowledged. So we were ready to place our order. They have a new Half n Half option, you can order one of 3 meals and a soup or salad. So we opted for the chicken enchiladas soup and a HALF a baguette. In the meantime, the table next to us had their food come, and it was made wrong so they sent everything back. They got their remade order, as 3 tables (at least 20 mins after us) were seated. They also all got their food. At this time it was 2:38 and we still hadn't received our food. Our waiter said that baguettes take way longer than any of the food all the tables sat after us got!!! Really? So if you order a HALF a baguette make sure you have 2 hours, they make the bread from scratch apparently and you'll be sitting there before and after the entire restaurant eats their food. After crisscrossing America for the past several years - I was briefly back in Scottsdale and wanted to get a 2 dozen Dolmades which is stuffed grape leaves. I could taste them in my mouth homemade and everything but was disappointed that Pita Jungle no longer make their Dolmades and the server could not tell me where they buy then from and was not even able to tell me if the menus description was correct but acted as if it was not. I had never been to Pita Jungle. I was visiting Arizona with some friends. We were told to check out Pita Jungle. We've never been before. Only one word can describe it. OUTSTANDING! My favorites are the grilled chicken pita and the hummus trio (hard to pick a favorite). Occasionally I'll wander off to try something different like soup or one of their amazing salads - flavorful combinations, always fresh. The Happy Hour menu offers a wide selection of options. Weather permitting, we prefer the patio dining - relaxed and quiet for conversation. There are misters however the abundant sun can be a problem (better shade arrangements would be helpful). Food was great! Service not so much...I understand things happen that are out of a servers control. However when a mistake/mishap happens great customer service should come into play ? We first get seated at a table that is completely off balance, so my bf asks if he can have something to put under one of the bases on the bottom to stop the shaking. The lady seemed frustrated due to this happening often and she was a little rude when he was trying to help..ok whatever. We then place our order with one of the waitresses and she was very sweet. She comes back to tell us the ahi tuna plate will take 15 mins, then we changed our plate to one of her recommendations. We receive the wrong appetizer and the person who brought out the plate gave us a dirty look like we made the mistake?! The server comes to apologizes for her mistake of requesting the wrong item, at this point my bf ended up just sharing my plate of food and didn't not end up ordering anything after all. We both work in customer service and would have done something to cheer the customer up after a bad experience like comping the plate that was supposed to received even if the customer did not want it anymore because they were irritated. Or any other way to make the experience better but the whole situation was not acknowledged as inconvenience mishaps. To top it off, we waited about 15 mins to have our card charged so we could leave. While waiting I notice the work environment in the restaurant was off, they looked stressed/ unhappy so I am writing this for Pita Jungles Management team..no one wants to work in a bad environment everyday...hoping the team can get some appreciation for making/serving good food and that would probably improve the service. read more

Our server Valerie was excellent. What truly set her apart was her lightning-fast service. I've never seen food arrive at a table so quickly without sacrificing quality. She was friendly and checked in on us at regular intervals, but we never felt like she was hovering near our table. The food was delicious and the portions were just the right size. The food is generally good here, but yesterday I ordered the chicken & rice soup from their seasonal menu, hoping for a hearty bowl filled with chicken and rice. The menu said it was topped with arugula and there was lots of it, close to a small salad's worth. Once I peeled it back there were a few small pieces of chicken and very little rice in a lot of thin broth. I'd say maybe a couple of teaspoons of rice. The arugula was so bitter it was inedible. Could be that the person making it was winging it, but that is the last time I'll order that dish. read more

Amazing fresh, Mediterranean food can def be found here! I was in the mood for some patio dining and this served up that need. Add in a great dinner and it's not a case of the Monday's here!! We started with some Falafel and their roasted red pepper hummus which was both fresh, light and tasty. Then I did the Chicken Tikka Masala as my main entree which was a great choice. While it didn't come with a pita, I still asked for one on the side. It was a refreshingly, spot on Tikka Masala! My only gripe is their lack of Mediterranean hot sauce.
